Great Paella

What a great little tapas restaurant on Esplanade Ave. in New Orleans. Lolas is a small restaurant with a quaint ambiance that serves very good Spanish food. The Paella (seafood) was fantastic. we ordered Paella for three - but it fed four. We had a Brussel Sprout special that was just amazing... read more

A restaurant is only as good as its staff. The waiter wore the eye patch of a pirate and had a pirates manners... Never again

We have been going to Lola's almost weekly with 4-8 people for more than 20 years. We even have, had, a regular table. No more! Food is still good and wine corkage is reasonable. But the attitude of some of the new people, new ownership?, is offensive. The rest of Our group of 6 didn't arrive for about 5 minutes after... More

We tried Lola's base on a recommendation from a friend at concert at the Art Museum, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to New Orleans! In fact, with all of the wonderful dining choices in the city, we made a point of going back for a second dinner. In spite of paella being... More

Cozy little restaurant in one of the quaintest neighbourhoods in New Orleans. Excellent atmosphere and service. Paella is obviously what they are known for, but all of the dishes we had were great and the garlic butter is wicked!

The food isn't fantastic but it is enjoyable. It is a little out of the way but if you're going to the Fairgrounds to watch the horses it is nearby. The food is Spanish and the room and service are cozy and nice. You can bring your own wine for a $7 corkage fee. The paellas can be for 1-6... More

The food here is outstanding. The place is tiny and fills up fast daily. You can bring wine in for a small fee or order from their small selection. The appetizers I usually get are the garlic mushrooms/brussels sprouts/shrimp and I tend to go with the seafood or combination paella. When I crave this place, I have to go because... More

Found this place by simply searching for something to eat our last night in New Orleans, other than the reviews being good the food looked good from the website. My wife wasn't feeling well so we decided to do take out! As I walked in the atmosphere was awesome(wish my wife was feeling better so we could have dined in)... More

We visit New Orleans every year for Halloween and our first stop for dinner is always Lola's. With great service, an intimate atmosphere (quiet enough to carry on a conversation - around 15-20 tables in a single room), tasty paella and a solid wine list (you can also bring your own for a corkage fee) Lola's is the perfect break...
