We dropped by with friends for some paella, which was good but not great. We went for appetizers, 3 the gazpacho (4*), 1 garlic soup (3*), Three of us had the seafood paella, for me it was tasty, filling, rich with seafood, but a bit bland (3-4*). My wife had the scallops dinner special, which was exceptional (5*) Lola's is... More

Couldn't get into the restaurant of our choice so we walked across the street and tried this one and BOY WERE WE LUCKY!!!!! Delightful food choices.......pork, tuna, AND THE PAELLA is wonderful. The Calamari appetizer was yummy and the sauce was tasty.......of course, probably not the best alternative for a romantic dinner as LOTS of garlic!!!!!! All members of our... More

This hole-in-the-wall locals' dinner restaurant is consistently good time after time!! Love their paella (combo of course!!), house-made sangria, garlic soup (one of their specialties) & flan for dessert. Even though it's across town, I do refer my guests there often. WONDERFUL!!

There is nothing fancy about this place but the food is terrific! It feels like a true local foodie's spot. Service and staff are great. Would definitely return.

We were taken here by friends who apparently love this place, so maybe this was an off night. However the service was not great. We had to order our sangria 3 times before we received it and the waiter spilt the balsamic vinegar and oil over my place setting after practically throwing it me. Also for a salad, it was... More

What a find! I would walk many, many miles for the chocolate zuflan. We shared one and had to order a second, it was that good. Kudos too for the bread and aioli, the gazpacho, the paella, the veggie tapas, the wine. Fun atmosphere and reasonable prices. In a town of great food, Lola's is a competitor.

If you come here on a weekend night you will definitely be waiting awhile as they don't take reservations. But trust me it is definitely worth the wait! I would highly recommend the garlic shrimp as an appetizer. The paella is just as good as you would find in Spain. Will definitely come here again!

When we lived in mid-city, we often frequented this BYOWine eatery across from Whole Foods. We ordered the pork chop medium rare and the fideua. It was always outstanding, and we even had our own regular waitress. Fast forward a few years and we've moved away. BUT, Lola's was top of our list to visit. To our disappointment, we recognized... Lovely, family-owned and run neighborhood restaurant that is "to live for"! Located about 10-minute cab ride from downtown hotels, was started by Lola, the grandmother of the Juan one of the siblings who run the place now, in 1970s. The food is excellent and service congenial, attentive, helpful. Paella--including vegetarian--is great; garlic mushrooms and grilled calamari delectable! Try the gazpacho... More
