What a find! I would walk many, many miles for the chocolate zuflan. We shared one and had to order a second, it was that good. Kudos too for the bread and aioli, the gazpacho, the paella, the veggie tapas, the wine. Fun atmosphere and reasonable prices. In a town of great food, Lola's is a competitor.

If you come here on a weekend night you will definitely be waiting awhile as they don't take reservations. But trust me it is definitely worth the wait! I would highly recommend the garlic shrimp as an appetizer. The paella is just as good as you would find in Spain. Will definitely come here again!

When we lived in mid-city, we often frequented this BYOWine eatery across from Whole Foods. We ordered the pork chop medium rare and the fideua. It was always outstanding, and we even had our own regular waitress. Fast forward a few years and we've moved away. BUT, Lola's was top of our list to visit. To our disappointment, we recognized... Lovely, family-owned and run neighborhood restaurant that is "to live for"! Located about 10-minute cab ride from downtown hotels, was started by Lola, the grandmother of the Juan one of the siblings who run the place now, in 1970s. The food is excellent and service congenial, attentive, helpful. Paella--including vegetarian--is great; garlic mushrooms and grilled calamari delectable! Try the gazpacho... More

This small Spanish restaurant has excellent dishes, e.g. the shrimp appetizer in the iron skillet. The paella, however, exceeded the dish that I had in Seville some time ago--and does so consistently. The staff and customers seem a happy combination, and it is rarely without a good crowd.

small restaurant with limited staff that may require a wait as no reservations. food was excellent with an eclectic twist on usual spanish cuisine. Lots of seafood in the paella and nice flavoring. would recommend.

This little place is busting at the seams and worth the wait. The paella was very tatsy however the wait can be long since everything is prepared to order. If you aren't in a rush, enjoy an evening with a bottle of wine and friends.

Lola's is unpretentious, small, out of the way and AWESOME! I went with a friend who had been here several times and raved about the place. Normally, I am we don't share the same likes. He goes for Motel 6 while I prefer shall we say something a little more upscale. So to say I was a little skeptical, would... More

We have just enjoyed a really pleasant meal at Lola's. Having visited a number of US cities on this trip, this is the best meal we have had so far and the best we have had in NOLA. It's a little out of the way but well worth the visit. The seafood paella was excellent (full of prawns, squid, mussels... More

If your here you need to get off French Quarter a few times. This is the place to go. Small place but fills up quickly with people willing to wait! Loved the food and apps and wine selection I would recommend thus to anyone going.
