Quaint restaurant. Delicious food and Sangria.

Food was delicious and the staff very attentive. My husband and I visited New Orleans for a weekend and wanted to try a small quaint spot for dinner. Lola's was great. Can't wait to go back.

INCREDIBLE... Started with a glass of Sangria, then Grilled Calamari, followed with a Gazpacho and finally a Garlic Chicken with Vegetables and Basmati Roce that was OUT OF THIS WORLD... The Chef is from Honduras and make this Spanish Restaurant a Success. I am from Puerto Rico and just move to New Orleans this week and found a place to... More

This restaurant had a line the night we were there but for very good reason. If you love Spanish food do not miss this extraordinary place!

Liked that it is a place that has served New Orleans for decades, and the food was pretty good. The whipped olive oil garlic spread with the rolls was lovely - we had a gazpacho that was ok. The vegetarian paella was not that great - as vegetarians we are always searching for flavorful food that has some soul. They... More

On lovely, leafy Esplanade Avenue, Lola's is a quaint and charming place for dinner. The restaurant is cozy and can only seat 35 people or so. There is a waiting area with chairs and tables outside and the hostess will bring you drinks while you wait for your table. And you will indeed wait (unless you are there when doors... More

so good we went twice in 4 days, had a short wait the second time. Only Two wait staff, but they know to wait tables! We had sangria, very good so needed two bottles. The anti pasti is very good, plenty of bread and whipped garlic butter, this place is no good if you're a garlic hater!, Good salads and... More

We took a group of five for a weekday supper. This is a pleasant break from all the gumbo and seafood dishes in New Orleans. The atmosphere is cozy and very friendly. It is very convenient to City Park if you are visiting there. I recommend the seafood paella. Be sure to start with an appetizer like the garlic shrimp... More

Drug a group to Lola's after leaving the art museum (Pleasant walk down a tree lined street of beautiful New Orleans homes, same short walk back to the streetcar stop.) I was the only foodie in the group talked them into the seafood paella and no one had any complaints. The bread they serve with the meal is to die... More

It's a small place serving real paella and various garlicky Spanish dishes. Maybe the only authentic Spanish place in town, now that I think about it. Bring your own wine if you want, or get their refreshing sangria. Prepare to wait -- no reservations and not many tables - but it'll be worth it.

One of the most interesting things about the New Orleans restaurant scene is not the top-ten restaurants, but the next 300 that are nearly as good. A friend took me to Lola's on a recent trip to NOLA. We had great service (thanks Brenda!), wonderful wine, one of the best seafood paella's I had in years, and yummy crispy brussel... More
