Completely Awesome Breakfast

I am a big breakfast/brunch fan so I really enjoyed this place. This was the first meal to kick off our day of exploring NOLA for my bachelorette party and it did not disappoint. I had the Eggs Jonathan and it was AWESOME. I love poached eggs and hollendaise sauce so it was right up my alley. I... read more

Gumbo was thin and light, and salty. More like a chicken soup. Roux was lacking if they even used one. Atmosphere and service were good.

My boyfriend, friend, and I ate here last night and everyone said that their's was terrible. I ordered the sampler appetizer with beans, gumbo, and seafood bisque. Mine was terrible! My boyfriend ordered the roast beef po boy and he also said it was terrible! My friend ordered the bisque as well and she didn't like it either. We did... More

Stopped in for breakfast before another day of exploring this great city. The service was very attentive, the food was just the right portion and everything was delicious. If you're adventurous, try the Eggs Conti, it is fantastic!

I could have eaten their crab balls till I fell over or ran out of money. Seafood bisque was very good.

We had a very underwhelming breakfast experience here today. It took ages to be seated (which is understandable as it is Mardi Gras festival) but it was definitely NOT worth the wait. We ordered tea, which was lukewarm at best when it arrived, and I asked the waitress if I could have the creole eggs dish without any mushrooms, as... More

Heard about this place form Triple D's and while in the Crescent City I had to give it a try. Just off of Bourbon Street on St. Peters tucked away in a small alleyway was the Old Coffee Pot Restaurant. As it is a main stay with the locals for breakfast, it beckons travelers and locals alike with a delightful... More

Went to the Old Coffee Pot looking for the "Best Jambalaya in New Orleans" When we arrived we were greeted by a faded old poster of Guy Fiera of Diners Drive-ins and Dives, this looked to be a good sign. Not so much, the service was casual and polite, the atmosphere very coffee house as per the name, however the... More

We enjoyed our breakfast here, and the small courtyard in back gave it the right New Orleans feel. We enjoyed the Lost Bread and Callas cakes with grits. Very nice service too.

It had been quite a long time since dining here. The Quarter was hopping at the moment so we had to wait but not terribly long. The staff was diligent about keeping things moving. When seated, our waitress was very nice & professional. However, the food was average. My jambayala tasted like a box mix. My wife's poboy was OK.... More
