Quaint little restaurant.

Arrived in New Orleans just after Mardi Gras, had no idea where to eat. Our concierge pointed us to this place and I have to say the food was amazing! I had their special, soft shell crab Alfredo and my partner had bbq shrimp. I would definitely recommend you check this place out for a meal!

We were in Nola for Mardi Gras and needed to wash clothes. We found a laundromat and decided to go eat breakfast while the clothes washed. We walked upon this great little restaurant, and boy was it a great find! The breakfast was delicious! I got the chicken fried chicken with gravy that was served with a huge, buttery biscuit... Can't wait to be in New Orleans again to go to Eat! Friend who knows all the great restaurants in New Orleans told us we just had to go there! Boy was she right. Great farm to table home cooking. Quaint home turned to restaurant atmosphere. Superb local Cajun and Creole dishes. Note it is a BYOB place, so be... More

Place was recommended to us by the desk clerk at the hotel. Sadly we were late getting there and arrived for lunch at 2:15. They closed at 2:00 and would not seat us. Next day we arrived in time and had to wait 20 minutes on a Sunday because of the brunch crowd, but there seems to always be a... More

Had a great dinner with a group of 5 - highlights included barbecue shrimp, the cochon pork, and chicken and dumplings. Oh, and GUMBO. Some of the best in the city. We bought a piece of art off the wall as well. Don't forget to bring a nice bottle of wine - free corkage on the first bottle!

My girlfriend and I ate together and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The waitress was very helpful and gave recommendations that exceeded expectations. We had the Caesar salad side with the Duck (special) and a burger with fries. For dessert we had the banana nut cake on recommendation of the waitress and it was sensational.

Loved Eat! My husband and I dined there on Sunday morning at about 10:30. We did not have reservations, but we only waited about five minutes for our table. The service was perfect and the food was amazing! I had the boil pot crawfish stew, which included a choice of sides and a Caesar salad. I had the fried green... More

Found the restaurant very interesting place. Was simple with art work for sale on the wall. The Menu was simple but the food was very delightful. If you do want a adult drink with your meal it is BYOB. Service was good and the experience was an excellent. Just one block off Bourbon St.

Picked this one up from a recommendation to my daughter-in-law. We ate breakfast there. Ran about $178 for 6 folks who all ate well. The menu was fresh and different. Recommend anything with fried green tomatoes. Mine mixed poached eggs, ham, and fried green tomatoes with a sauce that was great. Coffee alone was worth the visit.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
