Vincent's is very consistent and I've yet to be disappointed! Wonderful take on Italian cuisine. Large menu - something for any one. Interestingly, their bisque is delicious. Not too creamy or heavy, but a strong seafood flavor. Nice wine list. Great mid-week date place.

We visit New Orleans each year, and this was our second visit for lunch at Vincent's. It did not disappoint! Sooooo good is the garlic bread appetizer! I could make a meal of that! My husband had the stuffed mirliton, and I had the Veal St. Charles. Both were excellent! We can't wait to come back!

We just got into town and were famished. The greeting and ambiance was great, we were seated immediately upstairs. There is a deck that looked very inviting however, too cold for us! We ordered for the four of us, one whole muffaletta, INCREDIBLE! I also ordered a cup of chowder, INCREDIBLE!

I have visited Irene's several times in the past few months and it is my new favorite!!! Irene is the lovely owner and chef and just a wonderful person. Damien, Daniel, Stacey and the rest of the staff are all excellent, friendly and fun. The food is down home Italian! The asparagus and proscuitto salad is great and a surprisingly,... More

This is a great Italian restaurant with standard Italian fare plus Italian dishes with a new Orleans twist. The stuffed Mirliton was outstanding as was the stuffed pork chop. We took street car from Canal Street to this restaurant (about 25-30 minutes) and took street car back to French Quarter - a very nice and pleasant way to get to... More

Wonderful food every time we visit. Nightly specials and great menu options. The Veal Napolean is beautifully prepared, as is the Parmesan encrusted chicken. Entrees are accompanied by delish penne Alfredo and green beans. Lovely breadsticks or hot bread with garlic butter. Friendly service in a warm atmosphere. Take the streetcar all the way up St. Charles for a truly... More

Don't care much for pasta, but the veal marsala was fabulous and filling. didn't have room for dessert but have been told it is the same. Place doesn't look like much on the outside, but very nice inside. Best to make a reservation cuz it is small. Service is also great and prices reasonable.

Based on trip advisor ratings we had our concierge make a reservation for us at Vincent's. We rode the trolley car there and found Vincent's to be a small neighborhood restaurant. We were seated immeadiately. Our server was very helpful and attentive. There were many great choices on the menu and all four of us were very pleased with our... More

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighborhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
