A Worthy Spot for a Celebration

My wife were having a small, impromptu celebration and decided on Ralph's since it was far away from the clattering masses at French Quarter Fest. From the start, our experience was delightful. Leave the beaten tourist path (the French Quarter) & head over to mid city for lunch or dinner at Ralph's on the Park, across from City Park. It's got a classic, understated elegance with an old New Orleans feel, without being pretentious. The food is fantastic!!! From the truffle fries to the BBQ shrimp to the chocolate bar dessert. Ralph's was recommended to us by family in Los Angeles. It was a great choice. We had reservations, and we were seated immediately. The food was excellent and our server was superb - attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant is comfortable and it's in an attractive location. The whole experience was very enjoyable.

Six of us went for lunch (we had reservations) and we were not disappointed! We especially enjoyed the 10 cent martinis. I would go into detail about the food entrees from the menu, but really no point. We all got something different and all was excellent. Our server was outstanding in every way. I do have to brag about my... More

Although expensive, Ralph's is in a wonderful setting overlooking City Park and its stately moss covered trees. The food was phenomenal and service excellent. A big splurge, but truly enjoyable.

I went there on Sunday for an overpriced, forgettable brunch. Perhaps it is better when it is not a holiday, but for $52.00, I expected much more. The place is beautiful and service was fine.

Everything from the setting, looking out at city park, to the decor, to the service, and of course the food was perfect. Nice change from the fray of the quarter. Worth the uber ride to enjoy a perfect dining experience.

Nice location, over looking an entrance in to City Park, good food and drinks in this former brothel.

We had lunch at Ralph's. It was wonderful. The food was excellent; the service fantastic, and the ambiance lovely. My wife had the fish of the day, drum fish, which she loved and I had the BBQ shrimp, which was to die for. Our server was Merlin, who was like one of the family by the time we were finished....
