Step back in time as you step through the door into our beautiful, tiled dining room where New Orleans’ original sizzling steaks have been served since the doors opened in 1934. We offer prime, dry-aged beef that is cut in-house and cooked to your desire as well as seafood options such as broiled lobster tail and salmon to name a couple. Our commitment to quality does not end in the kitchen. Our extensive wine list consists of over 130 bottles from around the world. Our bar offers a wide array of quality liquors and liqueurs including single malt and blended scotches, bourbons, whiskeys, vodkas, and gins to name a few. We even have a specialty cocktail list which includes the Crescent City Martini, a Vojkovich family favorite that is made with a delectable, Croatian liqueur. Crescent City Steaks has been owned and operated by the Vojkovich family since Mr. John first opened the doors over 75 years ago, and his spirit lives on through the essence of family that transcends everything we do. Delicious Steaks

Like stepping back in time. Old jukebox and wooden chairs to dine on. No ambiance. Steaks were delicious. Cooked to perfection. Sides of spinach au gratin and potatoes au gratin were tasty and served hot. Skip garlic bread. Very dry.

We had heard this was a good place and we brought out of town guests here. First, the ambiance is old timey and comfortable, this is a place with history. Second, service is very good. The steaks are phenomenal. Everyone had different steaks - rib eye, filet, etc. - and ALL said it was the best they'd had. these steaks... More

Received a gift card here and finally got to stop in for lunch today and the food did not disapoint! Staff was very friendly and quick to offer recommendations from the menu. We both had the Caesar salad with steak tenders and it was amazing. A little off the beaten path for tourists, but a classic New Orleans establishment!

I am a native of New Orleans. I've lived in San Francisco and Denver. My wife and I travel a lot. We do like a great steak. It seems in the last 15 years or so, everyone has been opening a new steakhouse. But I've got to say that even though I can afford to pay the prices at these... More

Crescent City Steakhouse was the first to go with the sizzling butter. An old place, dont let the neighborhood scare you away. The food is fantastic. When you look at the menu, it will sure look a lot like Ruth's Chris. Rumor has it that Ruth actually worked here and "borrowed" the menu. Local food critic Tom Fitzmorris consistently puts... More

Off of the beaten path but well known to the locals, this locally owned restaurant is a gem of a steak house. There were 20 of us at the restaurant to celebrate the New Year. The food was great, The T-Bone steak was the best. Very often my steak is not cooked to my tastes and I have to send... More

This history behind this restaurant only adds to the charm. It's a small, older establishment. Don't expect warm bread, fancy candles and giant menus. But if you go expecting quality food, a friendly server, and an enjoyable time, you won't be disappointed. My filet was cooked absolutely perfectly and the family-style sides were very good.

I've been here many times and have always had an excellent experience. I've been to quite a few steak houses and this is my favorite so far. The filet cuts just like butter; you don't even need a knife.
