Old time service. No variations on any theme. We all has ribeye steaks. Pretty good quality, but not thick steaks. Tasty side dishes. Butter steak cooking style not gourmet but satisfies a steak craving probably better than many other more expensive players.

After 80 years we finally got to Crescent City Steak House....not disappointed! From our waiter Michael who was helpful while giving us time and space, to Kelly the General Manger who treated us like family! The steaks in butter are outstanding and cooked perfectly medium rare! The vibe and décor take you back to the 50's and I mean that... More

This is a small old fashioned steak house and the night I went, the special (Chateaubriand with potatoes and vegetables for two) for $70 was less than each of us ordering a steak and since menu is a la carte adding potatoes and vegetables for additional fee. The meat was delicious, but the vegetables and potatoes skimpy. We made the... More

That was one of the best pieces of beef that I've ever had in my entire life. The wine selection was beautiful and my daughter even had a salad that had this homemade dressing that I have dreams about to this day.

We had the pleasure of dining here with our two children and would definitely return again when in NO. Our porterhouse was superb and the atmosphere really takes you back in time. The hostess was extremely friendly and took the time to speak with us about the area. Would definitely recommend!

One of our very favorite places to eat in New Orleans and we are picky being from here. The steaks are wonderful with sizzling butter on top and the German fries are really good. We love sitting in one of the private booths and the decor hasn't changed since 1934 when it opened. The restaurant is clean and the staff... More

This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We were seated in one of the private booths which was a charming choice. The décor and setting was very interesting and conveyed an old world charm. We settled on the Chateau Briand (sp? - it was terrific no matter how it is spelled!!) Cooked to perfection with amazing sides. Its... More

This is apparently my Mom's new favorite place because we've gone back several times in the last month! Best tasting filet I've had in a long time. Courteous staff, consistent food prep/presentation, nice starter salads. I especially like the buttery garlic sauce you can get as an extra. We'll be back again soon!!

True to form Mardi Gras meeting place for locals. Great steaks and sides, reasonably priced wines, and a "you're sure to meet and see someone you know" atmosphere on a night when most places are closed. Well worth the wait--- and sure to become ever more popular as New Orleans Mid-City continues to revitalize.

Crescent City offers one of the best steaks in New Orleans. They offer a wonderfully dry aged steak cooked to your specific request. This is not the romance of the Chophouse or the elegant steakhouse setting of dicki Brennans but exudes the atmosphere of the bygone New Orleans neighborhood restaurant. From over a dozen visits I have never had a... More
