Meeting business associates

We met here at the suggestion of the people we were meeting with. Our steak was tender and flavorful. Steak prices averaged about $26, but they are plenty big. We had a t-bone, 2 strips, and a filet. Each had a salad. Caesar was very good. We had spinach augratin, lyonnaise potatoes, and... read more

Aged beef in an old-school atmosphere. The place is more or less unchanged from when it opened 80+ years ago. It's still run by the same family. This is the place that the original Ruth's Chris, about two blocks away, was trying to copy.

Excellent steaks, great onion, rings and sides, Old Fashions like they are supposed to be made with the old feel of the place all make it stand out as a dinning experience for steak in N.O. Now don't expect chrome and wood, this is traditioal decor that time has not changed much. I would also suggest Desi Vegas, Charlies, Mr Johns... More

Steaks were delicious, great potatoes au gratin. Love the atmosphere of a truly old New Orleans restaurant. Staff was friendly, was like having a meal at home with family and friends. One of the few places left with cozy booths! New Orleans people with hats and seersucker suits! Not a tourist place, more for the locals!

If you are ever hungry for a great tasting steak, but don't feel up to a "night-out' then Crescent City steak is the perfect place. While you could certainly have a great date night here, it doesn't' require being dressed to the nines, or cashing out a CD to eat here. We had an awesome tasting ribeye in the mid... More

I'm really torn here. I live local and wanted to splurge on a nice steak house with the family. I solicited TripAdvisor and noted the reviews. Even posted a question on tripadvisor forum looking for a unpretentious good steakhouse off the beaten path. That was answered with Crescent City Steakhouse. As you arrive, there is a kind security guard that... More

As is usual with great experiences, we stumbled onto this place by accident; we had intended to go to Dookie Chase, which was closed. I called a local friend for a backup recommendation near by, and they said this steakhouse was good, so we called, made sure we could get in, and walked right over. Everything about this place is... Me and my coworkers were in town for business. We were looking for a local steakhouse and restaurants we could eat at that we didn't have at hometown. We came upon this steakhouse while searching for steakhouses. The service was awesome, it was overly price and everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I got the filet mignon medium well... More

Being in New Orleans for our 5th wedding anniversary, and it being a slightly familiar place for us, we were looking into a good, nice but reasonably priced restaurant where the locals would go. Luckily, we starting chatting with bartender Chris at May Bailey's Bar during some pre-dinner drinks and she highly recommended it. We called ahead to see if... More

This place makes for a great meal when visiting New Orleans in the French Quarter. The steaks we had were very good and enjoyed the service.
