A Rendezvous with friends

Eight of us gathered for our annual Rendezvous. Joey recommended R&K's, so that's where we went. What a wide selection of seafood goodies! Everyone ordered something different, of course, and service was really on the ball. I didn't know there were that many ways of fixing fishy stuff. And... read more

Outrageously expensive and a far cry from what it used to be even a decade ago. We won't being going again.

Ralph & Kacoo's is practically a tradition in my family! My mother and I make a point of stopping there every year on my way home from Ole Miss. The food is absolutely fantastic! Our personal favorite dishes are the shrimp stew and the fried seafood platter!

I came here in April of 2014 on a recommendation from a friend. Yes there are nicer and more "authentic" places to eat but I really enjoyed this place. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I ordered one of the seafood combo plates and it was great. Really enjoyed the gumbo as well.

Everything fried and not even close to the original quality first experienced in baton Rouge 50 years ago. This is a tourist restaurant, but if you like fried seafood it isn't bad. bar is the best part of restaurant and location very convenient.

A group of us had dinner at Ralph and Kacoo's December 7, 2014. EVERYONE of us raved about the dinner. I had the blackened shrimp and my husband had the blackened catfish. It was delicious, and full of flavor. IT was not too spicy but spicy enough to know you are eating cajun cusine. One of us had the Bloody... More

We just ate at Ralph & Kacoo's unaware that they are going out of business in a week. At some point, this might have been a good restaurant but now all that I can tell you is that the food is terrible and the service is sloppy and disorganized. Don't waste your time or money. Eat elsewhere. This place can't... More

Having been here years ago, we were pleased to find the same great service and food. Try the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Didn't reall care for the taxidermy victims watching us eat, but other than that, very pleasant surroundings.

Went for dinner. Staff very nice and helpful. Thank you Hostesses for the tips! Hushpuppies very tasty. We had several dishes. Seafood platter with good variety and tasty. Gumbo with Cajun roux and I like Creole. Depends on your taste but I did not prefer. redfish blackened was very good and filling.

The food was average as was the service, I think you are paying more for the name than the quality of the meal.
