BEST BBQ hands down. It's all about RIBS RIBS RIBS! Don't go with out having some. Of course, everything else is good too.

Found this little neighbourhood place in Fromer's guide when we were looking for an afforable place. It was worth the cab ride over. You know it's good when all the customers know each other, as it's a neighbourhood favorite. And the fried chicken.... made to order (so plan on waiting 20 minutes) but worth every second! Crunchy and favorful on... More

This is one of the best places for brunch on the weekends and its out-of-the-wayness ensures that it is generally a local's only kinda place. Excellent drinks, great food, and friendly service, this place is a gem.

Kida out of the way, but a nice gem in the Bywater. Drinks were very resonable priced and good. That's something hard to find in the Quarter restaurants. All the items we ordered were great. Just like my mom always made. Service was a little slow, but the small kitchen could explain that. No trouble waiting since the watress was... More

Waiter's can be totally forgetful, or just rude, the food varies wildly from plate to plate and day to day. Worst pizza ever, never could bring myself to try it again.

We visited this place for the first time on a weekend trip for our anniversary. It's a very casual, laid back atmosphere. The waiter was very nice and our food was great. They have a great BBQ sauce recipe. Very tasty.

Please don't let the name fool you. BBQ is worst ever. Other dishes are OK.

Overrated. The (relatively) nearby Joint is much better.

Bywater's daily specials are always great so I almost never order anything from the menu. Their Mexican food, served only on Tuesday, is pretty good too. The pizza is popular with some unusual combinations.
