Olivier's was recommended to us by our tour guide as one of the best places to try authentic Creole food. We tried to go there yesterday for dinner but it was closed early because there were no customers as we have been told. It should have been a warning sign for us, but we tried it today again and it... More

We took two friends who never had Creole food before. They and we loved it -- the best gumbo meal in town! Great choices. Great Service. Excellent value.

stumbled upon the restaurant looking for something different. Had the a Rabbit over Oyster dressing. Cooked perfectly. The sides needed a kiss of salt, otherwise they complimented the dish. Waiter was attentive and helpful. The portions are large and well worth the price. Dinner and a glass of wine $44.00 Enjoyable dinner all in all.

We arrived in New Orleans and came across Olivier's which looked as if it would be a nice place for our first experience of Creole cuisine. The waitress was good, the restaurant is a nice place, however the food was barely edible and expensive. The seafood was tasteless and had no flavor. Probably the worst food we have experienced in... This very small restaurant has been around for a very long time. On my recent trip, I had two meals at this restaurant and was not disappointed. First was a wonderful jambalaya that I just knew had been soaking up all of the wonderful flavors for a long time. There were crab shells in the serving that some might think... More

Recommended by someone at the hotel. The employees were great but food was so-so. Only really good dish was the corn bread. Won't return.

The food here was so good. I had my first hurricane which was potent and very good. Enough for a second. They bring out corn bread to start (complementary) and it's so moist and delicious it could have been eaten as a desert. It's served warm and even though the waiter thought nothing of it as in to him it... More

This was my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. I always ate there when I visited. The men and the quality of food has declined significantly. I was disappointed because this was my favorite restaurant in the word. The service was exceptional, despite the fact a staff member was in the back professing how proud she was that she was from... The food was very good. Recepies to be old family tradition. We had the Jambalaya and Scampi. Very tasteful. Staff very freindly and the waiting time was reasonable. The restaurant itself was though a bit dull.

How do you rate a place "inconsistent" and then state that the food was very good and the servers very amiable? One problem was the wait between courses. No rush to get our wine order, bread slow in coming. My wife and I had the crawfish étouffée. Delicious but not very hearty. Needed more crawfish. Again, servers were very friendly.... More
