Nice, but a bit over rated

Food was good, but not memorable. New Orleans has so many great restaurants and this one, while good did not have that WOW factor. It was pricey - entrees in the $30 and up range.

I and my dinner companions were all happy with our entrées; prices were reasonable; decor was comfortable and charming. My crawfish etouffee was delicious…tasy little morsels in flavorful sauce that didn't overpower. The breadpudding tasted good, but was as heavy and dense as cheesecake. I had been tempted to order it, but was glad I didn't. Three bites was enough... More

We had a colleague's retirement party here and loved the food, service and atmosphere. A lovely, intimate setting where families and friends can celebrate. The owners were amazingly attentive. The waitress was fantastic. The fish was fresh and delicious. Colleagues had the rib eye steak, shrimp, and everyone loved their meals. We were not rushed and made a very long... More

We arrived late after noon with six hungry folks and two kids. Service was excellent and fast all food was delicious. I have seen this excellent waitress for 10 years there making the experience great.

Wife had shrimp étouffée and I had the crayfish étouffée. Never had crayfish before and they were kind enough to give me a sample before I ordered. WOW!! Is it delicious. Both meals were terrific and would definitely go back. We got there right when it opened and had reservations, but were not needed. This was a Monday night.

Okay, so maybe I am biased. I've been going to this treasure since the early 1980's and I have NEVER been disappointed. Every dish I have tried has been perfect. So I revisited this weekend, and wanted to go a bit healthier than my usual etouffe. Piper suggested the grilled fish, and OMG, it was incredible. I wasn't perfectly healthy... More

We read the reviews and hoped this would be the place for the REAL Cajun / creole experience. I had the crayfish étouffée and my husband had the much heralded shrimp? au gratin. Both were OK not at all what we were expecting for the hefty price. We dined at a number of wonderful restaurants in NOLA and saved this... More

I can't say enough about the wonderful service, accommodating employees, and amazing deserts. My wife was craving desert so we googled, best bread pudding in New Orleans. We were not let down. Despite it being late on a Saturday, they answered the phone and informed us they could give us a desert table. Upon arrival, near closing time, we felt... More

Where to begin? You are greeted at door by owners and quickly a delicious rum cocktail is in front of you. The waitstaff is impeccable and so helpful. I ordered the Eggplant, Shrimp and Crabmeat étouffée and it was delicious! The whole experience was decadent. I strongly recommend a reservation.

We made reservations. The place was a block from our hotel. It is upscale. The food was amazing. My shrimp etouffee was wonderful and the crawfish bisque AMAZING! my husband and I were both very satisfied with the meals. Good portions and no room for dessert. Complete wine list, as well. Our waiter, Eddie, was attentive, but not overly so... More
