Seemed to be a lot of locals the night that we went. We were able to get a table without a reservation but believe that the week in June that we were there was a slow week. We ordered the turtle soup. It was ok I would probably skip the next time. Followed by gulf fish with oysters. It was... More

This restaurant is run by folks serving recipes that they grew up with in southern Louisiana. This is legit Cajun food as compared to many touristy places you'll find around town. Cajun food is not all about heat. It's about spices and deep flavor. Bon Ton has it. Try it and see for yourself.

Established in the 1920's. Rustic atmosphere. Service is excellent. Food is Cajun with lots of seafood. I have frequented this restaurant for 35 years and the food & service is always consistently excellent. My favorite dishes are listed below.

Off bourbon street on Natchez. Ambiance, tables and chairs fill the room. The place was full but we only waited 5 minutes. Excellent wait staff. The owners are the host and hostess. Varied menu. I highly recommend it.

Most expensive meal we had in New Orleans and we ordered the Crawfish Bisque which they are suppose to be known for and all you could taste was salt, actually made us sick

Le Bon Ton has always been a family favorite. My Dad, when he lived in New Orleans, ate here frequently, and we always make a point to eat here whenever we are in town. This time, we found the service to be slow and the food just so-so. And it ended up being the most expensive meal of the three... More

A friend who grew up in NOLA recommended this place after I expressed my disappointment with the places we ate at last year when in town. The service was awesome but the food was bland and average. i honestly think it might be an expectation thing for me. i have always heard how great the food is in NOLA and... More

Friends of our had recommended this restaurant as a 'must do' while we were in NOLA, and it did not disappoint! This is New Orleans style Cajun/Creole food done gourmet style. This is a fine dining establishment with white linen table clothes, so leave the kids with the babysitter, please! The folks had the next table highly recommended the crawfish... More

We had passed the Bon Ton Cafe several times not really knowing what type of a restaurant it was. The bartender who was at Country Inns and Suites on Magazine Street told us it was a great place to eat. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Food, service and employees were all great.
