Fast, Friendly, Flavors of New Orleans

One in our party had allergies to onions and garlic. Our waiter gave us confidence that he would work with the chef to give her a meal that was tasty and safe. He made good on his promise. Their Turtle Soup rivals K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and the Oysters Arnaud were great! This is a nice semi-casual restaurant/bar right on Bourbon Street so you can watch the festivities outside while you eat/drink.

I was desperately looking for a place to eat for a late lunch when I found Remoulade. I was at first skeptical because it was on Bourbon Street, but I was glad to find out that there was no reason to be worried. The food was very good. The meat was well cooked and the veggies really fresh. The service... More

This eatery is casual with classic New Orleans dishes. It is a great get away from the noise and mayhem of Bourbon Street. Rachael was a great server, very friendly.

If you're leery of some of the dives on Bourbon Street, you might want to duck into this clean, well lit casual side of Arnaud's. Brick walls, tiled floors, young T-shirted wait staff give the place a friendly cafe feel. The fried shrimp was fresh, plump and fried light, just right, served with both cocktail and signature remoulade sauces on... More

All the basic Cajun cuisine in one restaurant and we enjoyed all of it. Served hot and affordable. Good place to start a Bourbon Street adventure.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel as a good place for an inexpensive, casual meal. It lived up to that description. The food was tasty (I got a kind of seafood pie) and the service quick and friendly. But absolutely everything was fried--by volume my plate was 75% french fries.

Thank you for your review! I am pleased that you enjoyed your crawfish pies and the service. For non-fried seafood I recommend the BBQ Shrimp. You do have to peel the shrimp but it is worth the work! Thank you so much for your visit and we hope to see you again the next time you are in town! More

This restaurant is run by the same group that runs Arnaud's, like a little brother, not as fancy, but ohhhh, just as good! I selected the Taste of New Orleans, it included red beans and rice, stuffed crab and seafood gumbo. Everything was excellent, but the gumbo was out of this world!! So good, full of shrimp and crabmeat, I... More

I came here with my parents Christmas week and had a great lunch. Remoulade is a sister restaurant to the upscale and historic Arnaud's, but is casual with cheaper prices. But they still have some of the same food and recipes from Arnaud's, so it's a great way to get a taste of the more expensive spot. The Oysters Arnaud... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! You are so right the Oysters Arnaud are not to be missed; the Ohan is my favorite, toped with eggplant and Andouille sausage. We also serve Arnaud's fantastic gumbos and turtle soup. Thank you so much for your visit and we look forward to seeing you again the next time you are in town! More

We stopped in for a late lunch/snack during our stay over Christmas (there were 4 of us, my wife, niece and her boyfriend). Decided to order a bunch or samples to try and share. Had some etouffee, boudin, jambalaya, red beans and rice (among others). Great way to get a little bit of NOLA all at once! I highly recommend... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
