Almost walked right past

My girlfriend and I had been exploring the Garden district and were starting to get peckish. We had seen a sushi restaurant earlier in the day that had a sign out for their happy hour. We were attempting to find that one when we stumbled on the Sake Cafe, which coincidentally had a happy hour going... read more

We were visiting New Orleans and toured the Garden District. We assumed that in such a upscale neighborhood you get upscale food. WRONG! The waitress run back and forth between taking our order and answering phone calls and delivering plated and food. RUDE!!! We ordered bento boxes, noodles and edamame. It took 45 minutes to get salad, miso soup and... More

I ate here with my family on our trip to New Orleans, and I have to say this place was great. The atmosphere is spectacular -- great ambiance, with lovely colorful glass chandeliers. The food is excellent as well -- the salad was very fresh, the goat cheese dumplings were sumptuous, and my teriyaki chicken was literally steaming on a... More

I really liked this sushi place. I think their fish was fresh and their service was good. I have had more authentic sushi experiences, but this was very good as well! My boyfriend considers this his favorite sushi restaurant in the world, and he orders the same thing every time: Mountain Tuna x2.

Somehow, our group ended up here for happy hour. I'm not sure how or why, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Drinks were 2-for-1, so we ordered a few rounds of a variety of cocktails. The drinks were sweet, but for the price were more than worth it. The service was somewhat quick, and the ambiance was very unique,... More

We went to Sake Cafe for a late lunch after walking to and around the garden district from the French Quarter (and being directed there from the Commanders Palace where we couldn't meet the dress code!). Service was very friendly and prompt. Food, on the other hand, was not very good. Possibly because we do not eat sushi, so it... More

I just finished having lunch here today, and while it was very good as always, the stains of soy sauce on the table cloths throughout the place and the condition of the fabric in the booths are totally gross. The booths are all torn up from years of usage & it's time to renovate. Also, the dust accumulation on the... More

We stop for a late lunch on Sunday. Used happy hour with good Sushi items. Service missed one Order, delayed a second, and refused to split bill finally. Worst service experienced ever.

We come to this place a lot and came here for dinner a couple of nights ago and we were very disappointed with the service. Our waitress was extremely rude. Trust me I am from the New York area and k know rude when I see it. This was really to a whole new level. The waitress never checked on... More

Great presentation but a little short on that wow taste factor. Ok menu items and very nice ambiance. It seemed pretty loud but had a good crowd. They have off-street parking as well. Might give it another try, might not.
