Perfect for music, fun and quick eats

Great tacos. I wish I had more of an appetite to chow down on some pizza and sandwiches. Perfect for late night eating. Band was so much fun.

We loved the band, the drinks and the vibe at this club the best. They had an 8 piece bank with horns, singer, guitar and drums. The place was electric and we danced our feet off. Highly recommended for some BIG fun.

My wife and I and another couple were on Frenchmen St. looking for a place to eat and enjoy good music. We were outside Cafe Negril checking out the menu and the band was warming up, when one of the band members came out and invited us in. The "Taco truck" wasn't ready to start serving so we got a... We wandered Frenchmen Street instead of Bourbon Street on our recent visit to NOLA. Cafe Negril smelled delicious and we wanted to investigate. What finally drew us in was this insane horn-driven metal jazz... we walked in, there was no cover, and we couldn't walk out. It was a very laid back easy place to be. Our top shelf drinks... More

Great band with sax, horn, keyboard, lead and bass guitar, drums, and great voice singing. We had the shrimp and fish tacos and both were really good and affordable.

Like others, we were wandering around Frenchmen Street on a Tuesday night, and walked in to the music of the Four Sidemen of the Apocalypse. For two and a half hours STRAIGHT, they played first rate jazz; their lead man on sax was simply amazing. One of their friends, a trumpet player on his way to his gig, joined in... More

We popped in for drinks and ended up having dinner there. Typical food truck fare, but portions were so big that my boyfriend and I split an entree and were both stuffed. Absolutely delicious pineapple pork, and the hot salsa was plenty spicy. The band sounded great and had the crowd going. Good times.

We were wandering around Frenchman street, looking for a place to hear music and have a drink or three. Cafe Negril was perfect as their lively music drew us in, and we got to hear a couple really good bands. The first one was more traditional blues, and the next was more rock-n-roll. Café Negril was spacious, and they had... More

Located in Frenchmen Street, more than a restaurant, the Cafe Negril is a nice place to hear some good music. The entrance is for free and the music start early, around 8pm. There is food there too, and diferent kinds of beers and drinks to try.
