There is ALWAYS something happening at Cafe Negril, from reggae to blues to jazz! The bartenders are a little slow but...this is New Orleans. Everyone moves at their own pace. And you HAVE to try the food!! I have dreams about the pineapple quesadillas. Yes. PINEAPPLE! I'm not a huge crowd person and this place gets packed pretty quickly so... More

Went there to listen to some Jazz, efter I've been to a bar earlier om the same stedet. To conclude on this experience. - more expensive than the other bar and the drinks are smallere. - the bartender acted Luke a beggar. I had two drinks while listening to the great band. But at second drink the male bartender, who... More

What more can you ask for. The place is a decent size, has attentive bar staff, some class music acts- basically all the goodness of Frenchmen Street. What sets it apart from other places is the food, i tried a bite of my friends taco, So good i ended up getting 3 of my own. And no it wasnt drunken... More

Walking down Frenchman Street at 8:00 pm and poked our heads in...Revival! Great music, good venue in terms of size and acoustic system. Also, bonus that there is a grill although I didn't have any of the food so I cannot speak to the quality of the food.

We spent the evening on Frenchman Street last night and had a blast. Every place was great except here! We walked in and waited for a good 5-7 minutes for beer. All while others walked up after us and were served. The bartender saw us, have us snarly looks but wouldn't acknowledge us. Finally he came over and I said... More

We ate here while out drinking and seeing music. A great band was playing and in the back a small cafe where you can get some very good tacos.

The food is terrible. The bands are even worse. Walk down the street. Maison is a good choice. Café Negril has nothing going for it - not food, or music.

We stopped in here because we liked the sound of the band playing at the time. As we made our way towards the back of the bar, we noticed they served food. We decided to have a couple of pork tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Both were excellent and very affordable. I think we paid about $12 for everything. They... More

They had a great blues band the night my husband and I went there. The drinks are really pricey, but the food was pretty good. The oyster sliders are great and I really liked the buffalo chicken wings.
