This place is a "happening", hoppin bar. On a friday night, I wandered in here around 10pm because the line was too long waiting for a table at Adolfos, and I was famished. A neon sign at the end of the bar, declared GRILL OPEN. There were 3 bands scheduled to play at Negril, and I caught the tail end... More

Great bands and live music. The drinks are a bit overpriced. $7 for a very small mixed drink...yikes! But if you're just going to listen to the bands it's well worth it.

Nice vibe here, have always seen good bands. Never had any food, but a good, open place to see music. And people are standing, so you should do a little dancing. Good sound system: Great mix, solid, clear, not blasting.

The drinks here were strong, but still fairly oriced. The crowd is mixed because some are dressed casually or dressy casual, so take your pick and you'll fit right in either way. I love how this place has a TV so you can watch the band of the evening. Something not all bars have.

If you need a quick meal for a good price, check out the taco bar inside Cafe Negril. its like having a tack truck inside a reggae club.

Let me start by admitting we spent nothing here -- which was great for us, since we'd had dinner down the street and wanted to take in as much of Frenchmen Street as we could without going broke and getting stuffed/drunk. We just heard some good music and wandered in. It looks like a dive from the outside, but it's... More

Over the years Bourbon Street had gotten more sleazy and commercialized losing touch with the southern culture. No worries, with just a short jaunt to Frenchman's street, you can find everything Bourbon used to be and Cafe Negril leads the pack. Live music, great bar service and and amazing mix of demographic crowds. It is a party of the best... More

Came in for a beer and found a great place for music and drinks. the way the place is laid out you get to be really close to the band which is a lot of fun. This is another place that makes Frenchmans street what it is, a place for great live music.
