Came in for a beer and found a great place for music and drinks. the way the place is laid out you get to be really close to the band which is a lot of fun. This is another place that makes Frenchmans street what it is, a place for great live music.

If we didn't check tripadvisor before venturing to Frenchman, we would have missed this great place! At first glance, it looks like a regular bar with live music but at the very back, they have real mexican taco's. The drinks were pricey but the cost of food was low and scrumptious. We had the beef barbacoa tacos and the salmon... More

We had reservations at their sister spot Brazil Taco Truck and they weren't quite ready for us so they sent us to Café Negril. People were friendly enough and they had a band setting up for music, the place and small and dark, not many places to sit, and the drinks were small for the price - along with not... More

we didnt eat here, but went to listen to the music. Normal crowd, great music, lots of beers to choose from. A nice way see the local music scene.

There is ALWAYS something happening at Cafe Negril, from reggae to blues to jazz! The bartenders are a little slow but...this is New Orleans. Everyone moves at their own pace. And you HAVE to try the food!! I have dreams about the pineapple quesadillas. Yes. PINEAPPLE! I'm not a huge crowd person and this place gets packed pretty quickly so... More

Went there to listen to some Jazz, efter I've been to a bar earlier om the same stedet. To conclude on this experience. - more expensive than the other bar and the drinks are smallere. - the bartender acted Luke a beggar. I had two drinks while listening to the great band. But at second drink the male bartender, who... More

What more can you ask for. The place is a decent size, has attentive bar staff, some class music acts- basically all the goodness of Frenchmen Street. What sets it apart from other places is the food, i tried a bite of my friends taco, So good i ended up getting 3 of my own. And no it wasnt drunken... More

Walking down Frenchman Street at 8:00 pm and poked our heads in...Revival! Great music, good venue in terms of size and acoustic system. Also, bonus that there is a grill although I didn't have any of the food so I cannot speak to the quality of the food.

We spent the evening on Frenchman Street last night and had a blast. Every place was great except here! We walked in and waited for a good 5-7 minutes for beer. All while others walked up after us and were served. The bartender saw us, have us snarly looks but wouldn't acknowledge us. Finally he came over and I said... More

We ate here while out drinking and seeing music. A great band was playing and in the back a small cafe where you can get some very good tacos.
