In its dazzling contemporary setting among the bold iconic canvases of George Rodrigue’s Blue Dog, Besh Steak is not your traditional steakhouse. 150 rich brown leather seats, some in private curtained booths, are set among crystal puddles of azure blue. A sleek, backlit wall of wine bottles is flanked by a glowing amber bar and an open brushed-silver kitchen. High-rolling guests and food critics alike will be swept away with the cool dining grandeur at Besh Steak in Harrah's New Orleans. Please note that you and your party must be 21 years or older to enter. The restaurant melds Chef John Besh's devotion to local Louisiana ingredients and techniques with traditional steakhouse menu items. Wine and spirits are also an integral part of the dining experience at Besh Steak, with hand-selected cellar choices to accompany each dish.

Reasonable

Good steaks, reasonable prices for a steakhouse. Menu was small. Waitstaff friendly. Don't care for fries though and would have preferred something else with my ribeye.

Started out good with baked oysters (hubby) and crawfish bisque(me). Order a filet to share Medium Well. Came out very very red and cold. Sent back and was still cold. Served with two Asparagus and I slice of scalloped potato. Big Fan of Besh from TV. I guess this was a usual casino meal. We experienced the same while in... More

Located right in Harrah's casino but acoustics were good so it was not loud in the restaurant. Excellent salad and steaks. Cheesecake for dessert was ok - LA cheesecake not the same as NY cheesecake but the coffee was the best we had in NOLA!

Been coming to this restaurant for years. Besh is literally the best chef in New Orleans. Food is always top notch and menus well thought out. Don't waste your time and money at other steak houses in New Orleans. Go straight to the best. You won't regret it.

We arrived about 15 minutes early for a 9 pm reservation on a Thursday evening. There were only two full tables in the entire restaurant and we were told that we needed to wait. The filet was average but the wine was very good. My review may be swayed based on the cloud of cigarette smoke that we choked on... More

We decided to try this restaurant so my wife could have the lamb chops. They were pretty good. But the giant bone in ribeye I had was excellent! Seasoned and cooked properly, it just melted in your mouth with flavor. My only regret is I didn't have a bigger stomach so I could have had a second.

I live in New Orleans and every year 6 couples go to derby day at the Fairgrounds. We also choose a different restaurant to eat dinner afterwards. This year we chose Besh's steak house in Harrahs. What a mistake! The service was awful due to this waitress by the name of Dawn who only seemed concerned about finishing her shift.... More

Our meal was very good, the restaurant was beautiful, hardly knew we were in a Casino. The waitress was a little rough around the edges, but she didn't make and mistakes with our food. Would recommend this restaurant.

Good food, extensive variety, but way overpriced. One could find many more places with better food for a cheaper price within a few short steps of this restaurant.

Average rating may be generous. We ordered lump crab meat stuffed shells for an app. Wife got the Filet , I got the Blackened Redfish and blacked shrimp. The Shells tasted like canned tuna with dill. My fish was not blackened nor was it cooked (still Frozen in the middle). Shrimp were cooked but also not blackened. The fish went... More
