We attended their jazz brunch on a Sunday - as you can imagine it was BUSY! The food was fantastic and the bloody mary bar was perfection. Our only complaint was the layout - the tables were on top of each other, you could hardly stretch your legs or move your chair - they really seemed to cram people in.... More

The service, the decor, the food - one of the best places we have ever eaten. Take the St. Charles streetcar and walk through the neighborhoods to see some gorgeous homes along the way.

We had dinner here with our 12 year old daughter and her friend, because our daughter found a review online after we'd rejected several possibilities. What a great call! We were greeted by one of the owners, Tony Tocco, who is a born host and entrepreneur, full of energy and warmth. The decor is unique, with very high vaulted ceilings... More

I can't believe that Atchafalaya is not ranked on TripAdvisor in the top 10 in New Orleans. My other favourite restaurant Boucherie, is ranked number 6 on here and Atchafalaya is certainly on par with it for food, but with a much more memorable atmosphere. One of my favourite restaurants in New Orleans. Atchafalaya has a menu with enough creole... More

Well worth coming over from the French Quarter to the Garden District at 10 a.m. on a Saturday for this place. I had been looking for brunch places before arriving in New Orleans and, having seen the reviews and menu for Atchafalaya, decided this seemed the most interesting. We were not disappointed. I got the Eggs Atchafalaya and my companion... More

We reserved the chef's table in the back of the restaurant for my girlfriends bachelorette. There were 12 girls - a bit overwhelming for our waiter I'm sure but you wouldn't know it from the service we received. The restaurant was kind enough to comp us a bottle of champagne to celebrate while we looked over the menu. Our waiter... More

The Bloody Mary bar was impressive! The bar tender recommended a locally made vodka& it was delicious. Hubby had an oysters Rockefeller eggs & I had pulled pork on top of a maple syrup cornbread cake. Both were very tasty! The service was over the top! We will be back. I have already recommended it to many people.

My visit this time was just ok. I had been here before in January and received great customer service, great food and great drinks...NOT THIS TIME! Very disappointed. Maybe because it was a Saturday night and they were busy...not sure. Either way, neither was good and the prices are too steep for sorry service and food.

Brunch is best but dinner is delicious! The Bloody Mary Bar is almost a meal with all veggies pickled in house and New Orleans-HOT! The oyster Rockefeller eggs are unique and spectacular - with a good shot of Pernod! Go here! Enjoy the great live music. You might have to wait for your table but remember one of the rules... More
