We ended up getting some tasty beverages here on a whim, b/c we were hot and this happened to be close by. Boy did we luck out!!!!! We ordered a banana daiquiri and the mud slide daiquiri! I was in love at first sip!!! Never have I had such a good drink!! Seriously the BEST I have ever had!!

Was so hot from walking around the French Quarter all afternoon on a July day and knowing that you can walk around the streets with an adult beverage in your hand I was very excited to see the Gazebo bar on their patio. They make frozen daiquiris with real ice cream! I tried the Dreamsicle & it was very tasty!!!... More

Happened upon this place while looking for lunch after walking, sightseeing all morning. They welcomed us in as we were walking by shopping the French Market. What a wonderful find! Jazz band playing, service great, food good (albeit, simple salads, cheese fries, onion rings, chicken sandwich), drinks good - beer, margaritas. Price reasonable. We were not hurried, and a street... More

Hot and tired we needed a pick me up. Stopped in at the gazebo and had an ice cold beer. Ahhhh! Raffle was our waiter. The guy is a real people person. He grew up in the French quarter and knew sooo much.. Plus he was just a kick. He brought us fried alligator tail. It was actually delicious..and then... More

We stumbled upon this outdoor restaurant walking back from the French Market. The jazzy music was wafting out and it seemed like a great place for lunch. The friendly wait staff seated us quickly and made sure we were located away from the smokers. The menus advertised the best ice cream daiquiris around and that sounded perfect for a very... More

We had gator bites. We had crawfish bites, we had crawfish hush puppies, cheese fries, onion rings and a round of lemonades! It was so much fun eating all the stuff and listening to live JAZZ! It was fun, fun and I am still full!

Decatur street splits and this place sits between the 2 lanes of traffic. They always have a small band. The food is consistent and ok. It's really a nice casual place to sit and take a load off before heading to the french market. You can grab a table and have just drinks or a snack or a whole meal.... More

We had lunch at the Gazebo and had higher hopes then what was delivered. I had the jambalaya which was pretty good and hubby had the muffalotta sandwich which was very skimpy on the filling. Overall-the food was alright-nothing exceptional compared to the prices and the menu was very limited. We were very disappointed to pay $8-9 a drink to... More

We first experienced the Gazebo Cafe on Easter Sunday in 1998. We have been back to New Orleans several times since and we ALWAYS go to the Gazebo Cafe. The alligator bites are the best you'll ever eat, Outdoor patio setting with live music makes the place perfect for some relaxing fun. A few steps away from the French Market,... More
