One of the few places that takes reservations (and during parade week). Staff could not have been friendlier. Waitress was helpful in helping us make our selections. Fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade sauce was wonderful. Thick slices of perfectly fried tender tomatoes with a yummy sauce. Long thin perfectly cooked sweet potatoes not at all greasy were a delight.... More

Had dinner there on 02/03/15, walked in to some nice live mood music. Our waitress was very nice, decor nice as well. The food- had a good beet and goat cheese salad. Then I had a bowl of the chicken and sausage gumbo......it had shrimp in it. While I enjoy shrimp, I have never had gumbo that has chicken and... More

Frenchmen Street is a musical paradise, but not a culinary one. I went primarily for the music, but was on an expense account, and was after something more substantial than a Po'boy or some Gumbo. There was another interesting spot that was cash only. To keep Accounting happy, I decided on Marigny. Started with some oyster shooters (raw oysters in... More

We visited the Marigny Brasserie recently and were told they had just changed hands. The staff seemed delighted at the prospect of better management so things may be improving here. The night we went they were out of most of their wine list - a result of the changeover we were told - but we stayed and had what was... More

Sadly, this place looked promising but wasn't really. It didn't start well when we were told they were out of basil lemonade for one of their specialty drinks, but we figured stuff happens. However when we ordered one of the maybe 4 or 5 entrees we also found out they were out of the fish of the day. That could... More

Food is decent but for whatever reason waiting for food on an empty day is odd. Literally only two couples in here and took 20 min for a coke and 45 for a hamburger. Which came out wrong and then had to wait again. Would I return? Sure, maybe just an off day. Friendly staff. Just need to put some... More

This was the filthiest restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of attempting to eat! It was disgusting!!! The booth was torn and filthy, the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in months, the drinks took forever to get to the table, my husband gagged on his crab cake and my Mac and Cheese was burnt...there more but why bother. They should... More
