The small sample squares of cakes melt in your mouth as did the cream/pineapple wedding cake cupcake. The cake decorations are simply the most elegant I have seen. Try the rum balls - to die for. A family owned treasure since 1921.

Traveled from San Diego to NOLA for my birthday and I wanted a cake no matter what! Saw this place was close to my hotel and restaurant and figured done! Wow, did I luck out! I emailed the bakery to find out what types of cake flavors and sizes they had and heard back from the right away. Next day... More

We chose this bakery because of the marvelous reviews and were SO Thankful we did! The staff was extremely helpful, took the time to make sure decorations met our needs and even delivered to the hotel. Our cake was beautiful, tasted delicious and I so appreciate how the staff reassured me when I called to confirm (we did a destination... More

Due to some last minute issues, I had to find a bakery that could make our wedding cake in 2 days... I was recommended to The Swiss Confectionery by our reception planner. I called and was told to stop in so we could speak about the cake. When I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the kindness and understanding of the... More

We came to New Orleans to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday with a few friends. I ordered a small cake from Swiss Confectionery before we got down there. I wasn't expecting anything special. Based the price I was quoted, I expected a small plain Jane birthday cake. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. They put as much care & attention into... More

For some odd reason, bakeries are not easy to find in New Orleans. We went looking for this one, and passed it up the first time because it is so simple. When we walked in the door, the place was clean and had multiple cake displays, but there was very little in the display case at the cashiers. At first,... More

In 1991, Swiss provided my wedding cake. It was perfectly memorable. I no longer reside in New Orleans, but when I am in town to purchase a birthday cake or petit fours, I always do so with Swiss. I brought several cakes over the years for birhtdays for friends and family and everyone always raves about a Swiss cake! They... More

I was a little disappointed with my wedding cake. It was not moist and was pretty crumbly. The flower decorations and buttercream work was sub par for my expectations of an experienced bakery. I could have gotten that from a local grocery store. Not sure how long these guys have been in business but I wouldn't go back for another... More

I went with a group of friends to New Orleans for my daughter's birthday. We made dinner reservations a few weeks in advance and asked if they could make a cake. They said no but recommended Swiss Confectionery. SC helped me pick flavors, decorations, etc. The day of the dinner, they called while I was out of town on a... More
