Excellent and historic

The ghosts are in the corners in this classic old-school restaurant in the middle of the French Quarter. Main menu is expensive, so I ordered off te bar menu, which was the outstanding Kobe beef po'boy, a cup of gumbo and the famous Oysters Rockefeller (invented here). While the food was really... read more

Eating lunch in New Orleans is always a treat but last week at Antoine's, it was not. We opted for the pre fixe with my wife having a shrimp dish and I had veal. My veal was satisfactory, but the side oyster concoction was limp and the gooh it was cooked in was unfair to the oyster. Ditto for my... More

The food is excellent, as expected. The wait staff is even better. Our waiter was knowledgeable about food selections and very attentive.

If your are visiting NOLA, you must try Antoine's! We enjoyed Oysters Rockefeller and Pompano en Papillote! We also had cherries jubilee. Next time we go we'll have to try their Baked Alaska. The service was impeccable. We also enjoyed seeing and learning the history of the different dining rooms.

We wanted to eat at this historical classic restaurant and was delighted to find this bargain. Also including .25 peach martinis (3 each max)

I gave up on Antoine's some time ago. The dining model is outdated, the food too expensive and, honestly, the novelty is gone. Whereas Galatoire's makes French and traditional dining fun and a treat, Antoine's just makes it stuffy. HOWEVER, the bar is great and the only reason I know for anyone with an ounce of self respect to brave... More

Great bargain for lunch, although it looks like it would be a fortune. Ask for Fast Eddy, if he has time he'll give you a bit of history. Not to be missed. By the way... the food was fantastic too. Almost an afterthought after such a great experience.

I revised Antoine's with good memories of fine dining in the past. Unfortunately the fine dining remains in the past. Soft shell crabs were poorly served and greasy. Fellow diners were underwhelmed as well.

Definitely lived up to its reputation. I'm a simple eater, so I was happy to find a menu that didn't feel geared to "foodies." My steak tips were outstanding, the vegetables perfectly cooked and season, and the service top drawer. Enormous wine selection.

This is a restaurant that everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime. The food was excellent, the staff was wonderful, and the setting was beautiful. The only downside was the cost of the food. However, I went there fully knowing I was going to spend over $100 for two but my daughter loved it.
