Stick to the Bar

The food was wonderful. The service in the bar was excellent. The service in the restaurant was horrible. We felt invisible most of the time. We had to ask for bread and it came after the meal was finished. When we asked for their signature coffee, he told us he really didn't have time to make that... read more

The sign out front wasn't enticing but the hostess working the iron gate at the courtyard entrance promised our money back if we didn't love the food. So we gave it a whirl. The food was wonderful, the server was phenomenal, and he even gave us a tour of the haunted second floor. It's so easy to get swept away... More

We had an amazing dinner here and our server even took us on a tour of the building after we ate. My fiance and I loved the food and atmosphere SO much that we decided to have our wedding reception here!

What a treat! A two-hour lunch during Reveillon ("awakening") time (December) in New Orleans at one of the best restaurants in the city, Antoine's. Our waiter gave us a great post-meal tour of the dining rooms. Antoine's great granddaughter signed my copy of their cookbook celebrating 175 years. The special dinner/lunch menu was delicious, and topped off with a pecan... More

If I could give this review zero stars, I would. Antoine's is supposedly an institution in New Orleans having mysteriously survived for 175 years. We went for a friend's birthday. I had high hopes for the experience and it was a nightmare. The dining room smelled like a urinal cake. Service was absolutely abysmal despite the restaurant being less than... More

MY friend Jerry had visited Antoine's for lunch by himself forty years ago and had a memory of it as a "once in a lifetime" experience. During that lunch the waiter had invited Jerry to view some of the restaurant's collection of ancient liqueurs and he remembered being impressed by an original Napoleonic Cognac. On our February 2015 visit we... More

What a disappointment. I changed my reservation from Galatoire's to eat at Antoine's at the insistence of others. I should not have listened. Fifteen dining rooms without any charm. The food was cold and tasteless with poor presentation and small portions. The pluses? Delicious butter, the best Pims cocktails ever and great service.

We were seated in the front area of the restaurant, which feels like a typical bistro with tile floors and simple furnishings. Our server, Greg, was terrific, as was Greg who also helped out. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, which were unique to the restaurant, but not to our liking. The fried soft shell crabs were served hot and were... More

Dined at Antoine's for my friends birthday. We spent a girls weekend in New Orleans & made sure to stop here for her big night. Service was excellent, all of our meals were very good- chicken & mushrooms, beef tips & tenderloin. The waiter brought three sauces for my friend to try with her steak as our meals were taking...
