Extraordinary Creativity and Taste

This rather unassuming building in the River Bend neighborhood of New Orleans is a unique experience especially if you risk going outside the norm of traditional food for most Americans. My wife had Mussels and I had Escargot and Marrow with a side of squash. We also had an Ipswich IPA and a glass... read more

We took the street car from downtown to Saturday brunch at Dante's and were quite pleased! It has a cheery and brightly colored interior that was a lovely respite from the heat. Each of the staff members that we interacted with were friendly and helpful from start to finish. I ordered the cold brewed ice coffee with a wisp of... More

FRESH FRESH FRESH and Yummy. Small menu means they focus on fresh items and creativity. There were many things, even on the drink menu that the waiter had to explain that I was unfamiliar with, but I was brave and was rewarded with a delicious dinner. Creative drink menu as well, had the "punch of the day" which at the... More

Fabulous cocktails and small plates in a casual, local atmosphere. Loved the fresh salads, boudin rouge and strawberry shortcake!

Went on a Sunday, waited for a table while sipping mimosas, served a little too warm. We ordered a blt breakfast sandwich which came on sourdough bread- yuM, and the skillet cornedbeef hash which had 2 over easy eggs and a horseradish cream sauce- VERY GOOD. Love to come here for Sunday brunch

1 1/2 hours wait later, we were seated. Spoon bread was tasty. But the menu was highly limited. My sister was disappointed with her duck, especially the rice and bean sides. The steak was cooked well but pulled pork on top does not work for me. I fail to understand why our friends recommended this restaurant. I fear, I cannot.

Everything about Dante's Kitchen was nice. It is not a remarkable restaurant, but does a nice job of making you comfortable while presenting good food. Above average, but not amazing.

My family loves a great brunch, and Dante's Kitchen was on my daughter's "radar" for quite some time. The restaurant serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday and doesn't take reservations for brunch, though it does for dinner and highly recommended. So, we made sure to arrive when they opened and were seated promptly. The restaurant is a casual spot located... More

Sometimes it pays to get a little off the tourist path. We had dinner one night with friends at Dante's Kitchen and it was an excellent experience. Wonderful cocktails and house made charchuterie plate to start then fish for dinner, with bread pudding for dessert. It was relaxed, delicious, and a good bargain for what we had. Would definitely try... More
