The service was some of the best. They offered and hot towel on arrival and the ladies were very attentive. Once they served the sushi I began to get disappointed. The sushi was average. I have had just as good sushi from the grocery store. I would look elsewhere if you want to eat sushi in New Orleans.

The manager/owner was a woman with an angry face. She never smiled back, very direct and condescending. First, she was not happy when my toddler was quietly drawing on the back of the sushi ala carte order sheet. Then, when I asked about the boxed roll, she explained it in a way that's so condescending as if I am a... More

Came here for lunch yesterday and we were seated very promptly even during the busy lunch hour. The sushi was excellent. I would definitely recommend trying the Louisiana role. However the service was kind of so-so. I understand it was during a busy lunch hour, but we just felt that we were very rushed and the staff was just trying... More

I sat with my back to the wall after reading about the angry owner. She actually waited on me as she spoke the best English. She was very direct at first with no smile at all but later came back to check on me and talked and smiled. The sushi and sashimi were excellent! I had three ladies waiting on... More

we chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. The first impression was not good because it had just two people sitting at one table and the forniture was pretty plain. Looking at the menu it seemed expensive but the food was REALLY good . We had some sushi rolls, natto (which is rare to find) and i got... More

Great little place for sushi in the New Orleans Downtown !!! Great and consistent quality on each sushi prepared. The staff is all asian, abolsutely japanese once you walk in, besides the regular sit down tables, they also have 4 japanese style private tables. Great flavor and not flamboyant sushi dishes, all prepared the right size for you to eat... More

I live and work in downtown New Orleans and like the food here. However, I have decided I never want to come to this restaurant again. I am a regular patron (a good tipper too) and come here quite often, but everytime I come here, I get horrible service. The female owner that runs the restaurant is one of the... More

The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but the food is great. We are very familiar with Japanese cuisine so we ate here several times during our 2 visits to NOLA and we were never disappointed with what we ordered. The service is good but it could be a bit odd. For example, one time we would have ordered dessert but... More

We came here as it was close to our hotel based on favorable reviews...I have ate a lot of sushi and it can be "hit and miss." The atmosphere is just so so, I sensed a slight musty smell when I walked in and it's old furniture and far from fancy. That said, the food was great! The albacore is... More
