What, no meatballs!

Read so many reviews about the meatball, when I asked why it wasn't on the menu, he said they weren't doing meatballs!!!!! The place it very dark and small, with a very neighborhood feel. The staff was very friendly, helpful choosing dishes for us to try and share. Pasta portions are huge, can be... read more

Shame on Trip Adviser for touting this dive to unsuspecting visitors. If you like very large portions of mediocre, tasteless food, served to you by a sweaty middle-aged waitress who literally paws the guests, while physically crowding them, with no wine choices and, Lordy, weak tea and lousy bread, this is your place. Scuzzy restrooms and general dinginess, with a... More

Loved atmosphere, food and staff! It is a quaint restaurant. It is small and intimate. Great for date and business!

One of my favorites. This warehouse district gem has been delivering great local New Orleans Italian since 2000. Love the dark atmosphere and don't miss the crab salad or eggplant rolotini!!

Great classic Italian dishes. Order the meatball as an appetizer for 3 or more people. I am not joking - one of the best meatballs I have ever had. The alfredo pasta with the peas and proscuitto is another must have. Yes, it is a dark wood, old neighborhood restaurant. But it has a great history and very good service.... More

Eleven 79 has a great atmosphere. Wonderful bar, dark woods in a comfortable setting. Excellent calamari and shrimp scampi appetizers. Veal is the speciality for the main course with seven or eight preparations (be sure to ask about "off the menu" veal dishes). If you're not a fan of veal, there are other compelling choices. The wine list is pretty... More

Dark and dated. Food is neighborhood Italian. One size fits all wine glasses. What Americans think Italians eat. Heavy red sauce, veal without subtlety. Service was very attentive however. Overall not worth the trip.

Went here for a biz lunch while in NOLA, and this restaurant really impressed. Great service, ambience, food. Everything was excellent. During the day, parking was easy around this place (a really nice plus), although the restaurant was full during lunch. We had a great time here, and great food. When I return to NOLA, I will likely put this... More

I took my wife to Eleven 79 for her birthday and we both loved it. Very old school mafia feel to it. Our waitress gave us a little too much information about her personal life and even sat down to tell us about it. She was very good at her job though and made excellent wine/pasta suggestions. I had the... More

Nowadays most restaurants post their menus on the web. It would be a good idea to check out this menu before taking a cab there. If you are not into veal, you may be in somewhat of a bind. I, personally, eat most anything you can find in an Italian restaurant. However, my wife is a little more "choicie." Not... More
