Glad to have you back...

We've been avoiding Brennan's the past several trips to New Orleans because of the mixed reviews after their remodel & reopening. We've been avoiding Brennan's the past several trips to New Orleans because of the mixed reviews after their remodel & reopening. We understand how transition can take time, and we didn't want to ruin our fond memories of brunches past. This past weekend we decided it was time and this was definitely a good decision. Under new management, but just as special if not as special as it once was. Great 2 course options in the $30-$40 per person range. Nice signature cocktails too (Bloody Bull and Sparkling Pear). Reservations are recommended but dining is relatively casual.

Breakfast at Brennan's was well worth the high cost! food was unbelievable. The Baked Apple is out of this world. I was. Or daring enough to try the turtle soup but my friends loved it!

Since it was Mardi Gras and the place was very busy we sat at the bar. The drinks are excellent and the food we had was very tasty and good. We had some baked oysters that were pumb and excellent as was the Gumbo. This place is a must on ant visit to New Orleans.

A must stop for breakfast - traditional New Orleans dishes done in the most unique ways. Don't miss Bananas Foster, where it originated!

Visited our last day before a 1:00 pm flight. The perfect choice. A wide selection of fabulous entrees with great Bloody Mary's. Bananas Foster followed. The place is beautiful. Be sure to check out all the rooms. Great food and service traditions which are still upheld. Should be most definitely on your visiting list!

I stepped out of the Mardi Gras parade craziness and into the warmth and tranquility of Brennan's. This place oozes class, but the atmosphere and people are not stiff or robotic. Chris was a very friendly and professional server, and several others assisted him throughout the dining room in a very attentive team approach. The timing of everything that arrived... More

This is a cool historic restaurant which feels very New Orleans. There is a beautiful outdoor dining area, but it was too cold to sit outside when we were there. The service was excellent, and the food was as well. My friend insisted on beginning with dessert, so we ordered the bananas foster. I've never eaten dessert first, but in... More

Dinning at Brennan's is an all around classy affair. They take your name at the door so that all the staff can refer to you by name throughout the meal. The brunch menu is filled with locally inspired brunch dishes. Bloody Mary and coffee were the best we had all trip. Their take on eggs benedict was delicious. And of... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
