Superlative service at the highest level. Food is not really Truly New Orleans, except for their attention to detail and pride in their food. And they are right to be proud.

The blue crab gnocchi is so delicious, as was their deconstructed market chopped salad. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a beautiful meal while in New Orleans.

I have to say this was probably one if not the best meal I had while I was in New Orleans. We did not make a reservation but we made it out to the restaurant early enough to wear we were able to be seated at the bar area. The restaurant itself was completely booked. Be prepared to dress nice... More

Had a lovely romantic meal with outstanding service. From the 2 gentlemen who teamed the table to the somm who was very helpful pairing wines and apertifs it was a well orchestrated and beautifully executed experience. Each course...the amuse bouch, etouffee dumplings (heavenly), foie 3 ways (very artistic), pompano, lemon souflee, and gratis dessert treats--- all most flavorful, artistic, any... More

My husband chose this restaurant for a belated Valentines Day dinner and we couldn't have been happier. The food was superb. My husband ordered the pompano which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I chose the duck breast which was moist and flavorful. The service was attentive but not hovering. And the ambiance of the main dining room under the... More

Visited August on the evening before Mardis Gras. They were quite busy which is understandable given the holiday. It was pouring outside when we arrived and were seated. Apps arrived in a timely fashion and our hosts were gracious for letting us bring our own wine. I cannot stress enough how amazing this policy is. August does not even charge... More

Unbelievable flavors and textures in each dish. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Service was solid and friendly. Great wine selection and the pastry chef is a rock star and I don't even like sweets

The servers were friendly and helpful. The hostess apologized several times because we had to wait 10 minutes for our table (waited over 45 at Commander's Palace the night before without a single apology). The food was phenomenally superb - portion sizes were just right and the desserts were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish - the servers were... More
