It's our special place. We come for the vegetarian tasting menu.

I took my wife here for dinner the day I asked her to marry me, and we come back each year. She's a vegetarian and we always do the vegetarian tasting menu with wines. We spontaneously made reservations and could only get 5:15 reservation. It was so worth it to get in and enjoy the experience. We sat in wine library with bottle bottoms facing out due to space limitations (so we were told). The vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing was perfect for my wife. We shared each pairing and wow! The wine... More

This exquisite and distinctly New Orleans restaurant is perfect for romance and special occasions, but, most importantly, our anniversary dinner was delicious and memorable. Our host and servers were gracious, attentive and helpful -- we would not have otherwise tried the specialty handmade potato gnocchi appetizer or the breaded flounder entree, which were fabulous. The salad of heirloom beets with... More

We always love dining at this restaurant when in New Orleans. Meats & fish are all organic and wild caught. Seasonal veggies, like zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, out of this world! Expensive but worth a visit, wine list is terrific.

We had a relatively large party of 8. The service was excellent. The food fantastic. Among some of the best were the Hanger steak, the flounder, crawfish "Étouffée" and the gnocchi - but honestly everybody's dishes were superb. If we had more time we'd return this trip

My wife never stops raving about this restaurant. It's literally her fav. Maybe in the world. No attention to detail is two small. She once took every single person who visited a few months ago to this place every single day they were here. Great great food. Again, another Besh master piece

1. Foie Gras done one way 2. Foie Gras done another way 3. Foie Gras done the third way. If I ever find myself on death row, August's foie gras will be my "last meal" - 'nough said. I come out to New Orleans once a year or two, and every time I try to make it into August. And... More

The Branzino with its toppings was sheer perfection. A delicate array of flavors that did not out-do each other....they supported each other. Do yourself a favor and go here as often as you can.

This was our last night in NOLA and we intended to celebrate my husband's birthday. The waiter and his assistant did everything as well as could be expected. Our waiter knew everything about the incredibly complicated preparations. The menu was very limited, however, and it was easy to make my choices. I started with the potato crisp P & J... More

Based on an exceptional experience 3 years ago took a group of 8 here for dinner. Every aspect of the experience was indicative of a top tier restaurant. Highly recommend the homemade gnocchi and crawfish étouffée. All the main courses were raved about. Also, a special shout out to Erin White the Sommelier. She was very helpful and impressively did...
