Across the street from the W and close to Harrahs. This restaurant was a taste sensation. It ranks as one of my top 5 meals. It's pricey and it's worth it.

One word: phenomenal. The setting was ambient, service impeccable and food heavenly. Our waitress did come around a little too often, being the one aspect there that gets 4/5 in my book, but even employees met in the hallways told us good evening and asked how we were. All of the food there was amazing. I got the vegetarian tasting... More

Ambiance, service and food; all perfection. Definitely bring your Amex or other card with a high limit as it doesn't come cheap but everything here is top notch. The room was lovely and elegant and quiet, the service was amazing and over the top. The wines, french inclined are well represented and serviced. And then the food. The veggie tasting... More

My husband I had an outstanding time dining Friday for lunch at August. We had previously made reservations, and we were so glad we did. We were seated immediately and admired the elegant atmosphere the enormous chandeliers established. The server came immediately and took our beverage order. Our drinks came quickly, and the server answered questions we had about the... More

The staff was great..the service excellent but the food was not to our tables liking..the food reminded me of the old style french..way to rich..i had the pecan crusted trout .. and the gnocci. We had a better meal at Cochon the night before.

This was really one of the best meals I've ever had. The wine pairing was phenomenal and all the good was so delicious. I loved seeing seasonal items as part of the menu. I can't wait to go back to NOLA just to eat here. And the private dining room upstairs is really cute so always a plus.

Food and presentation is outstanding. August deserves all the accolades. We had lunch here, a nice mix of locals and tourists. Service is excellent.

The drama free report is: Service: Very good. The only tweak is it's a bit awkward with 5 or 6 staff members all lined up in the small front dining room. Feels sort of like the "painting with the eyes that follow you" feeling. Food: Good overall. Mileage varied on the dishes. Both tasty - but mine was barely hot... More

Words can't adequately describe our experience. The food descriptions are "words" you read on other menus - but they don't reflect what you see and get! The "Market Vegetable Chop Salad" was a collage of watermelon, squash, carrot strips, plums, a few sprigs of lettuce, etc., all lightly touched with a lemon vinaigrette. The Gulf snapper "courtbouillon" was a beautiful... More
