Words can not express how amazing this restaurant is. We have dined in nearly every state in the US and most of the countries in Europe and I can not begin to think of a meal that compared. Every course was presented spotlessly and the flavors invoked from the ingredients dazzle your tastebuds.

Business or family and friends it is worth all the praise. Truly on top of their game. The wine selection is well laid out and the house specialty fish ponchartrain is an absolute must.

My wife an I shared a wonderful dinner at August during our recent trip to August. I had the house specialty Trout Ponchatrain (which I HIGHLY recommend) and my wife had the Roasted Duckling. Throughout the dinner the August staff presented us with wonderful surprises we did not expect (like squash mousse prior to dinner and praline & truffle after... More

Simply the best dining experience all around that I have ever had. The service is amazing, the wine selection is amazing, the food to die for!

The waitress was friendly and attentive. I am not accustomed to making reservations, but that was not a problem, she said the small front area between the front door and the bar was first-come, first served. It was a nice, quiet place for Friday lunch. I had an appetizer and dessert and I was satisfied with both. For a lagniappe,... More

Restaurant August is an excellent restaurant fro many years. We have a business meeting and the people that came to New Orleans from the meeting suggested August. We all comply. Oh well the restaurant did not disappoint at all. It was a perfect meal with the added value that Jon Besh was there and came to our table to greet... More

We had a good dinner, most dishes were well prepared. Our pork chops were overcooked but other than that, everything else was on point. My husband loved the duck, best he had ever had. Get the lemon tart too.

You call to book a restaurant stating it is for a birthday and that one of the guest is vegan... You choose a specific restaurant after reading reviews on internet. The chef is said to be creative. It is in the top 10 restaurants, the restaurant has a vegetable menu...What could go wrong? Well, first, let me say. The food... More

Great wine, great scotch, excellent service and wonderful food. There were 3 in our party and we all had wonderful meals. Mine was the red snapper- it was the best I had ever had - the skin was so crispy and it was cooked perfectly.

On Fridays, they have a 3 course lunch for 20.14 (although I suppose it will be 20.15 soon), and it was fabulous. We were still not hungry 5 hours later. An absolute must if you are in the area on a Friday afternoon.
