The chocolate shrimp are amazing here! The pork entree with fried plantains never disappoints! Best ceviche!!! The flan is the best I have had! Super creamy and delicious! Always a great experience!

We ate lunch there - very convenient to Convention Center and not crowded. A little pricey, but the tapas we had were very good - it was a very nice lunch. We didn't have seafood, so can't speak for that. Salad and roasted eggplant were good but the best was the Roasted mushrooms in sherry cream montadito - highly recommend... More

I always had this place on my list to visit in NOLA, and finally we were able to go for a birthday dinner. I ordered the Chef's special and I'm so glad I did. It was a flavorful experience! It was seared white fish with curried quinoa and cauliflower with a mix of strawberries. Amazing! We also ordered some plantains... More

Our waitress seemed very condescending when asked questions about the "Latin" menu and rather snooty about the restaurant's reputation. The food was okay, but the ambiance was terrible. We sat near the kitchen and they kept shouting "service" when an order was up. The restuarant tries to pull off a high-end shabby chic atmosphere and maybe could have with a... More

An imaginative chef provides daily specials that will tickle your taste. The Spanish spices are a nice variety from the usual rich French cooking in New Orleans. Be sure and try the salads.

Rio Mar specializes in seafood with Spanish flavors. Food is superb and it's ok to go in your jeans. Service was knowledgable and friendly.

This was an extraordinary meal. We took our two children (18 and 19) out for a fancy meal in New Orleans. Chef Octavio personally welcomed us, and the wait staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We started with “hot toddies” – great hot buttered rum for me and my wife, followed by an amazing Spanish wine. Dinner was course after course... More

We too had a group and had to order from the more expensive "Chef Menu". Basically we had no say in the shared appetizers- you get what you get. The problem is that some of the party had allergies to some of the offerings. So they had no choice but to avoid those dishes. There were no substitutions or additions.... More

I booked for a group of 15 for 7:30pm, we had to wait quite a while for the table to be prepared. There was no flexibility in the plates, although some could not taste any, the service was not really good. The food was not really tasty either. There was an addition of 20% for service, which they did not... More

Party of 14 , sat down at 8:30 , were forcefully told to take the 56 $ menu with shared apetizers; got them one by one at 9:30 , then entrees at 10:30... Service was so rude (promised food was coming every 10 min to no avail) advised some dishes were not good. We skipped dessert and did not get... More
