Liuzza's Restaurant YUMMMY

This is a great stop for a Po-Boy and the onion rings/fries are outstanding. They always have frozen mugs from your beer and the wait staff is a ton of fun. The roast beef po-boy is one of my favorites in the city and if your looking for something different the french fries po-boy with roast beef... read more

The meatballs and spaghetti was delicious, very dark red gravy. I am seldom disappointed here. Nothing fancy but all good New Orleans dishes. Very sweet wait staff.

My extended family is all from Nawlins, so they always give us their top picks for eating around town! This became a quick favorite years ago, and now we don't visit New Orleans without stopping at Liuzzas! My favorite are the Frozen Coke/Beer mugs. The onion rings are the best I've ever had! Love the gumbo, poboys, and bread pudding!!... More

We always try to eat here at least once whenever we visit NO. The best gumbo, shrimp poboys and frozen cokes. Tight seating and noisy, but well worth a visit.

We've gone to Liuzza's for over 35 years and while the cold beer and sandwiches continue to draw locals, I have found the food quality has also deteriorated. Food portion was good but my hamburger steak has no seasoning, nor did the beef gravy and the mashed potatoes were grainy. Our waitress forgot my salad until after my entree was... More

Recommended to us by our tour guide while biking to our kayak tour. The Po-Boys are nothing short of amazing and if you are thirsty, the giant sodas were perfect!! Small and quaint, with full bar.

Frenchuletta is a great sandwich. The beer is cold and large. The onion rings and fried pickles are the best. Great local atmosphere and a must visit for anyone who wants a real part of New Orleans. Waiters are great locals. If you really want to experience a great part of what it feels like to live in New Orleans... More

We returned to Liuzza after a few years to taste their traditional fare but found all the dishes loaded with an unbelievable amount of salt and fat, none of which has anything to do with authentic local food. We had: green tomatoes-flavored salt covered with a greasy and salty sauce, followed by shrimp-flavored salt, a salty and greasy plate of... More

We were visiting New Orleans and seeking out spots were locals eat. Actually happened up on Liuzza's while looking for Liuzza's by the track. Two totally different establishments only blocks apart! We were not disappointed. Food was great and service was outstanding! We will be back!

From the 18 ounce draft beers to the local favorites this place is one of the best examples of neighborhood character that cannot be duplicated.
