I have been going to Liuzza's since I was 8...I'm now 45. The time prior to this one, I ordered stuffed artichoke and it was cold as ice. I asked to have it reheated and it came back just as cold. The poor boy (that is the original pronunciation), shrimp and oyster, dressed, had few oysters and cold shrimp. Tonight,... More

I never been here before but after a friend kept after me to try it I finally went. Arrived at 1pm for lunch. Self seated ourselves immediately. This place has been around since 1947 and still looks pretty good. There is limited seating so maybe during high demand times it maybe difficult to get a seat. We ordered a shrimp... More

This place didn't look like much, but it was amazing! The wait-staff was very nice and recommended many things including the roast beef sandwich. In fact, three other people had all recommended the roast beef prior. It was spectacular! Get it with just mayonnaise and Swiss cheese; the waitress argued that this was the original way this sandwich was meant... More

This has to be the closet to Italy you can eat. Authentic Italian food and New Orleans style food too. They have catfish, Shrimp, corn and okra stew, and the list goes on. Nothing bad in this place. Only draw back is they only take cash. No credit or debit cards, but they conveniently have a ATM there. This is a... More

The only thing I have had here is a Frenchalata. It is like a Muffalata, but on French Bread. Absolutely to die for! Whenever I'm in town, it's in my list of things to do. They also serve Bushwackers... It's like a frozen mudslide that goes down great on a hot Louisiana day! If you e ever been to the... More

Wonderful onion rings and great po-boys....Oyster(dressed) and the huge Frenchuletta (One of the top sandwiches I've ever eaten--only surpassed by the Pastrami on Rye at Katz's in New York years ago). Good olive salad mix on the French loaf and the sandwich was very warm with good quality Italian meats and cheese. Great friendly service, cash only but they have... More

Liuzza's is a fine neighborhood restaurant and bar with friendly service for local and visitor alike. A cash only venue (ATM on premises), we came for dinner Wednesday before the second weekend of Jazzfest and had no trouble being seated. I had the Eggplant Casserole special with a side of spaghetti and a humongous meatball, and a nice salad with... More

Arrive early for lunch to beat the crowd of locals who descend on this place for sandwiches and daily specials. Great for po-boys and seafood, but has additional menu items. Some of the best remoulade in town.

A great place for NOLA ambience, good onion rings, gumbo , shrimp poor boy sandwiches, and of course a cold beer. It is a regular stop for my NOLA visits.

Try the shimp and artichoke soup, the roast beef sandwiches, as well as the traditional italian fare, lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs, or half and half with sausage and meatball! Cash only, but they have an atm.
