This place is the absolute best Italian restaurant in New Orleans. They give you a ton of food that is better than anywhere else. Very affordable and a great value. You will love this place.

Let's keep it simple...just go here. Great food and you will not go wrong. Everything was great. It is right off the red (cemetery line) or the green (city park museum line). Once again...you will not be disappointed!

Probably the best example of the New Orleans local restaurant scene available for anyone local on visiting. The food is consistent and delicious and the menu caters to every diet, except those darn vegans! Of all of them the Veal Chop is probably the best available with or without a plane ticket and the pasta is superb. What ever you... More

This Mid-City Institution has been serving locals and fortunate tourists for over 50 years. Our server and bartender were exceptionally friendly and made sure that we were completely satisfied. We started with baked oysters and stuffed artichoke and they didn't disappoint until our entrees arrived. They were so good and filling that the oversized plates made us wish we'd skipped... More

Venezia's has been in business since the 50s and is a landmark. The restaurant is small and open so it can get crowded and noisy. We went on a Saturday night, with reservations, and still had to wait for a table. There is something on the menu for everyone from pizza for the kids to filet mignon for the grownups.... More

I took my son and three of his classmates from Tulane out to eat at Venezia last week. This is my favorite Italian place in New Orleans by far and has been so for decades. I love their pizza with a wedge salad, but the eggplant parmesan or eggplant Vatican is truly delicious. All they know is large portions and... More

Don't come here expecting cutting edge. This is old school and proud of it! Service is good, but casual. Food is paced, that is they do not rush you. Try a pizza for an app if the table is four heavy eaters, or six regular eaters. Quite well done. Pasta is king, and they do it right. Home run with... More

The food was fabulous. It's a typical old-fashioned New Orleans neighborhood Italian restaurant. Our server, Juan, was wonderful. We were a large group, celebrating a birthday. There were a couple of other large groups at the same time. It didn't have any affect on the service or the food. The Tuscan Cheese appetizer was so good. The Caesar salad was... More

This is the second time in the past year we've visited New Orleans and ate at Venezia! The lasagna is great, but we also ordered the ribeye which was fantastic - a surprise considering this is an Italian restaurant! And it's a short straight drive from downtown!

I like to go to local funky places to eat when traveling. This joint was worth the trip. Parking is a pain, area looks a little shady, nothing fancy inside to look at. Service is friendly but not fancy. Food? Home run! The pasta was cooked just right, the meat sauce was just that, meat with sauce (gravy) over the... More
