Taqueria is a well-established Mexican restaurant in Uptown. It's certainly not a big restaurant. The decor is borderline tacky. The drink menu is nothing special and honestly basic. The staff and owners are very nice people. You do not visit Taqueria for any of these things. People wait in line for Taqueria for the fresh tacos. You cannot go wrong... More

Fun stop on a hot day. Good food and margaritas. The atmosphere is laid back. Prices were reasonable and service was good.

The one on Magazine Street is hands down the best Mexican Restaurant in New Orleans. The food is fresh, floral and comes out quickly. The owner's are always there making sure things run correctly and they have an experienced and friendly staff. I always enjoy eating here, and it is great for take-out as well.

Was looking for a really good Mexican place in NOLA and looks like I have found it. The service is great, the atmosphere is great and the food is very authentic. Can't go wrong here!

The tacos are just the perfect balance between mid and hot spices. The meals are being prep right in front of your eyes and the fresh smell of ingredients are spread throughout the restaurant. Service is friendly, respectful and good advice on the menu items. Price was a very pleasant surprise!!!

This place is a hidden gem in the Garden District. My husband and I stumbled upon it on a bike ride. I do not know why it is ranked lower than El Gato Negro which is terrible. The chips here were fantastic, along with the wonderful margaritas and the biggest burritos we have ever had. They were full of shrimp... More

I wasn't thrilled with the rather unfriendly (non-friendly is probably a better word) waiter, but the place looks nice, inside. The beef taco salad was excellent and for $6.59, not a bad deal, considering it has about the same amount of food in it, but is half the price of the entrees. I think the main thing that irks people... More

This was the first restaurant my wife took me to twenty years ago and it is still a favorite. We had the grilled green onions and pico de gallo and chips to start, then fish taco, bean burrito. I had the California chicken burrito (massive!) and had enough to take home for dinner. Add one Marguerita to that for total... More

when people give taqueria a bad review, i automatically assume 1. bad experience or 2. they are picky eaters. If you like mexican food, it is impossible not to like it. Its fattening and delicious. What's not to like about a plate full of cheesy food and a margarita. it's obviously not a 5 star restaurant but it's cheap!!

This place is about to celebrate 25 years of serving authentic & tasty Mexican food, so that should be enough to realize this place is legit. Can't say enough about this place. Been coming here since 1989 and I love it. My favorite is the número tres.. It's 3 tacos. A burrito and a flauta. Get the shrimp flauta. .... More
