Good food - guac is excellent!

Just happened to stop in here for lunch while strolling down Magazine St and it turned out to be very good. Cold beer, good Mexican food, and the guacamole I could have made a meal out of! Portions are large and filling!

I have been eating here since the late 1980s, I brought my nieces and nephews here regularly when I was in college, and now I bring my children and they love it too! Yes, there are no free chips and salsa, never has been, but the prices are low so what is the big deal? Order the chips with pico... More

I can't fault the service and friendly attitude of the staff at this restaraunt. Unfortunately the food was not great. I had the fajitas, the plate came filled with chicken but only 3 wraps and not enough sour cream to even put on one. My friend had the chicken Tacos and was also disappointed. Although he told me he has... More

We have spent the day at the New Orleans Heritage & Jazz Festival. From St. Vincent’s Guest House on Magazine Street, we climb on Bus #11 heading uptown towards Audubon Park through the Garden District looking out the window for a place to eat. We get off the bus and start our search walking up the street scanning each side.... More

We arrived here for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one other table occupied and we were able to sit pretty much wherever we wanted. No complimentary chips and salsa... I didn't quite get that but figured they didn't want people wandering in off of Magazine St. and lingering around too long. The server pressured us... More

I read all of the reviews and the reviewers unfortunately missed something that they should have noticed. This place has one of the most incredible salsas that ever hit the planet. Roberto, the owner invented it and it is a secret recipe. Want to taste this stuff; this Salsa Negra? Better get down there and try it. I have been... More

Taqueria is a well-established Mexican restaurant in Uptown. It's certainly not a big restaurant. The decor is borderline tacky. The drink menu is nothing special and honestly basic. The staff and owners are very nice people. You do not visit Taqueria for any of these things. People wait in line for Taqueria for the fresh tacos. You cannot go wrong... More

Fun stop on a hot day. Good food and margaritas. The atmosphere is laid back. Prices were reasonable and service was good.

The one on Magazine Street is hands down the best Mexican Restaurant in New Orleans. The food is fresh, floral and comes out quickly. The owner's are always there making sure things run correctly and they have an experienced and friendly staff. I always enjoy eating here, and it is great for take-out as well.
