DINNER IN NEW ORLEANS

We went to Arnaud's on recommendation. The food and service were superb albeit a bit too fast as if they wanted us to leave. It was Friday night ans suprisingly not that busy. On the reviews I saw it was a smart restaurant so I brought a suit all the way from England to wear that night. It was... read more

Been dining here for years and the food and service have always been great. This time I had the shrimp Arnaud's, pork tenderloin Robichaux, and bananas foster. Douglas did a great job waiting on our table. Happy to recommend.

This is one of the prettiest restaurants in the New Orleans French Quarter. The service is excellent. The food is pretty old school, but it is worth a visit anyway. Remember that even old school in New Orleans is good. This is one of the "three sisters" of old established restaurants...ones that everyone remembers. Arnauds, Antoines, Gallatoies. They should be... More

Was a fantastic introduction to the great cuisine of New Orleans at an old classic. Loved dinner with a colleague. Alligator sausage a great start and anything afterward all the way through dessert was delicious. Experience New Orleans!

There was not a flaw in anything...service, food and wine list are all amongst the best I have ever experienced. Our wait staff was attentive but not hovering. Our dishes were all wonderful and the prices are reasonable. It is a beautiful restaurant. It is a little loud but not oppressive.

It's a close question which is the best restaurant in New Orleans, and therefore in America - Arnaud's or Commander's Palace. What a great debate to have. Arnaud's is simply spectacular. The room is elegant. The staff solicitous without being over-bearing. And the food. The FOOD. There are no words.

Atmosphere is beautiful with floor tiles, gorgeous light fixtures and chandeliers, great look. Service was splendid but not at all intrusive! Food was perfect. We ate all small plates (appetizers) and shared everything until we could eat no more. We had fresh raw oysters and every type of cooked oysters offered. The famous shrimp remoulade, crab cakes and the soufflé... More

French 75 has atmosphere in spades. This is one of my favorite bars in Nola. The staff are superior bartenders and it's so comfortable being in there. Not noisy, very relaxed and the cocktails are amazing. Of course the French 75 is superior but don't overlook the Sazerac. It can get busy and you may have to wait for A... More

Made my yearly trip to my favorite fine dining in New Orleans. Absolute perfection. Same service and food quality that I've come to expect. They bring their "A" game every night. I can't stand a restaurant that knocks it out the park one time only to disappoint the next. Arnauds has never disappointed!

The staff are extremely attentive and professional from the time a patron enters the door until they leave the restaurant. The food is excellent with a nice variety of choices.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
