We gave this established restaurant in New Orleans a try for lunch and were quite surprised at our find. It appeared that the patrons were mostly locals as this place is located in a neighborhood. We had wonderful traditional turtle soup and gumbo for starters ($7.50 each) and the salad special ($16.95) and crab salad ($18.75) I thought the prices... More

This place was okay not really that amazing. They have packed this place with too many tables inside and feels like you are on top of each other. The quality of the good was good, but nothing really amazing that you would rave about. Also the parking is horrible in his area. I would suggest taking a cab.

Clancy's is a local gem. We had a fantastic night and the food was delicious. We were with a regular customer and it is easy to see why locals love it so. The crab with fired green tomatoes are super yummy and. I loved the smokec pork. The food was much lighter than other "traditional New Orleans" restaurants and I'd... More

Execellent neighborhood fine dining in the Uptown area of New Orleans. Nice unique takes on many traditional dishes. Great food. Only drawback is that it can be noisy. Well worth the visit.

Uptown and a long cab ride, but well worth it beyond all imagination. The restaurant has an intimate feel - the waitstaff all in tux and bow ties. The Shrimp Remoulade appetizer was like a party in your mouth - so many tastes - it was amazing! Could have had that for dinner! Ordered the Veal with Crabmeat and bernaise... More

Its a little of off the beaten track, in the uptown area, but well worth the cab ride. Its an old school restaurant with waiters in black jackets and bowties. The wine list is excellent, heavy on the french and the wine steward was helpful. Great prime filet steak cooked perfectly and the bisque was dreamy.

7/19/2014 We enjoyed Veal/Crabmeat and Filet dishes on our visit and they were both wonderful. I highly recommend the restaurant! This restaurant is in Uptown and is a little off the beaten path in a neighborhood, so cabs are a challenge when leaving. They have a cab service (A to Z transportation) that caters to diners at Clancy's. Just know... More

Another neighborhood place that is worth seeking out. Had drinks at the bar, great bartender. Have eaten here in the past and the food was wonderful.

This it the real deal, authentic New Orleans uptown neighborhood restaurant. We went for lunch which they serve on a limited basis during the week. Everything was fabulous, from the French bread you can't get anywhere but New Orleans (served with sticks of real butter), to the appetizer, salad and entrée. We had the oysters with brie appetizer (delicious), the... More

I love this restaurant. It is not for everyone. For any visitor to New Orleans, you must know that this is the closest thing to a private club in the city. People dress up, they go in groups, they drink too much, they table hop and they cut up. For someone wishing to spend a quiet evening at an elegant... More
