Clancy's was recommended by a group of food manufactures when I asked for a must go to. It lived up to their praise. Started with the Fried Oysters with Brie, cooked just right, and delicious. For the main course, Crawfish Etoufee. Again delicious with all the spices and flavors melding together and nothing overpowering. Crawfish were tender and tasty. The... More

I can't say enough about clancys. It is by far my favorite restaurant in the world. Make sure to get the fried oysters with Brie.

Wife and I visited this gem as the result of a friend who is a NOLA local. We were quickly seated felt welcomed immediately. I had the smoked duck and my wife had the lamb. Both were fantastic! The bread pudding for dessert completed our night. Atmosphere was fun but our server was underwhelming. He seemed preoccupied with something else... More

Clancy's is located in a residential neighborhood in the Uptown area of New Orleans. The owner of the house that we are renting highly recommended this eatery, and we walked down there on a Saturday (we made a reservation which is highly recommended). This was the best meal we have had in this food-crazy city, and we have eaten in... More

We have heard about Clancy's from several friends, and I had it on my list of NOLA restaurants to try. I gave my hubby a gift card to Clancy's for his birthday--I knew that we would finally dine there! So, after a much anticipated wait, we finally made reservations and had dinner there. Clancy's motto of "refining the New Orleans... More

Love the New Orleans neighborhood feel of this restaurant. Service always spot on and food to die for! Best turtle soup and oyster with Brie appetizer.

Went for lunch - turtle soup (make sure you add the sherry) and fried crab claws- outstanding, fried eggplant awesome (especially the Aioli sauce). Tuscan bean soup was excellent also but there was an odd medicinal/antiseptic flavor to it- very odd- could've been anise or some herb but it was a little overpowering- didn't care for it. The sautéed Drum,... More

I read the reviews about Clancy's being one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. But I did not expect all of that. The place may seem like a bit of a drive, especially if you are not staying in the Garden District. If you have to drive from the next state over its worth it!!! Great staff, charming restaurant... Uptown and popular with locals. Visitors who are lucky enough to get a reservation are in for a real treat. It's called the "uptown Galatoire's" for good reason.

Last Saturday, my office scheduled our annual X-mas dinner at Clancy's. Everyone agreed, food, service and setting were all excellent, especially we were a table of twelve on a fully reserved evening.
