Excellent

Our group of ten was seated upstairs, which is quieter. I had the fried oyster brie appetizer, an unusual and delicious dish. My entree was the veal with crabmeat and bearnaise. The peppermint ice cream was okay, but not as good as BlueBell. The lobster risotto was delicious but rich. Others... read more

As a tourist, you will not just "stumble upon" this restaurant. It's in a residential neighborhood well away from the French Quarter where we were staying. In fact, the concierge at our hotel recommended we use a particular taxi company (United Cab) as so many of the other cab drivers could hardly find even the famous local restaurants (we actually... Had a great business dinner at Clancy's. This is well worth the effort since it is a little out of the way. Great food and service. Had shrimp remoulade and scallops.......yummy! It is a little small for a group of 10 but we made it work. Worth the trip.

Clancy's is something of a hidden gem. The restaurant is tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Uptown NOLA. It's an elegant eatery with full tux service. The food was out of this world. I highly recommend the rabbit sausage. The Flavors and preparation were spot on. The smoked pork chop was generous in size and cooked to perfection. Nice... More

Very good restaurant in uptown New Orleans. Good appetizers and sensational desert. Almost like eating in someone's very nice house.

I've had a couple of meals now at Clancy's. It's not necessarily on the list of tourist hot-spots, but it has been a low key fixture uptown for decades. Use of flavors and elements is very subtle and incredibly well-balanced. Grilled puppy-drum picatta is worth the drive to N.O. by itself. Signature smoked fried softshell crab is an all-time great.... More

Loved that it was in a neighborhood, loved the feel of the old house (cracks in the plaster and all), loved the oldfashioned service where they were right there everytime you needed anything, loved the fresh changing menu, I had a filet with Stilton cheese that was cookedperfectly and tasted incredible.

You would never just stumble across this place...it's way off the beaten path. Very nice atmosphere...not too casual or too dressy. Service was flawless. Food was amazing. The fried oysters with brie were amazing. Ordered the Tile fish special, but they were sold out...the Pompano was a great substitute. We had late reservations so maybe getting there early is a... Good Food, good service, space was a bit squished, but okay. Always crowded and noisy but not unberably so.
