Wow

Great food. Listen your wait staff for suggestions and you will not be disappointed. Had an item never come but we had plenty of food and I think it was lack of communication. A beautiful birthday dessert was presented to my mom and made her day.

Off the beaten path for sure but you wont be disappointed. Had the Sweetbread appetizer, was my favorite dish while in New Orleans. Also crawfish fritters for an app which we delicious. For main courses we had Speckled trout in a crawfish sauce, and the scallops. Both were really great. I must say the butterscotch pudding with salted caramel sauce... More

This well known white table cloth Creole restaurant has been in business under the same owners for almost 20 years. It's essential to make your reservations for dinner well in advance (we reserved about a month in advance for a Friday evening but had to change to a Tuesday later). The food was excellent, particularly the crab salad, the Muddy... More

Every aspect of Clancy's is what you expect in an Uptown NOLA restaurant, the staff was friendly and helpful, with suggestions that everyone enjoyed. Some of the more well known restaurants in the area are getting too busy to enjoy, but Clancy's keeps a low profile, a secret that the locals want to keep! Wonderful meal, great evening!

have not been to New Orleans for 7 years. I wanted to eat food typical for New Orleans. Clancys was fantastic with new twists on classic favorites. Not a restaurant to miss. Ice box lemon pie for dessert or the parfait. Both the drum and the trout were fantastic. Salads generous.

What a great little place! It was a perfect place for a romantic dinner. The smoked duck was so full of flavor and the desserts are perfect. The highlight of the meal was the Fried Oysters with Brie. I want to make these at home! Make reservations way in advance, it is worth it!

Our group of ten was seated upstairs, which is quieter. I had the fried oyster brie appetizer, an unusual and delicious dish. My entree was the veal with crabmeat and bearnaise. The peppermint ice cream was okay, but not as good as BlueBell. The lobster risotto was delicious but rich. Others raved about the rabbit sausage, the filet and the... More

We were out exploring the Garden District, having had enough of the French Quarter, which is fun, but just too much after a day or two. My wife happened to look up Clancy's which was highly recommended by a work friend. We were fairly close so decided to drop in. Very glad we did. It was crowded over lunch on... More

As a tourist, you will not just "stumble upon" this restaurant. It's in a residential neighborhood well away from the French Quarter where we were staying. In fact, the concierge at our hotel recommended we use a particular taxi company (United Cab) as so many of the other cab drivers could hardly find even the famous local restaurants (we actually...
