The food at this restaurant was the one sanctuary against the other 4 star restaurants in NOLA who's primary ingredient is salt. Food was good, but not exceptional, service was good (after overcoming the hurdle of the rude Woman Maitre D (heavyset Woman with glasses)). Nonetheless it was overpriced. Would recommend primarily because of the poor quality of the other... More

Best Sazerac I had in New Orleans. This restaurant a bit loud and not very romantic, you are literally seating inches from other tables, but hey, urban restaurants are all about that. Short rib very tender, pork belly a bit salty but also very tender and juicy. Wife's chicken very moist and flavorful. Good value for your money. I would... More

We really enjoyed their preparation on the dishes we had. The menu had many other items that I would like to try as I was having "dish envy" whenever a plate of food was delivered to another table. It all looked good!

I just don't get it; all the hype, the hoopla. I wanted this to be a good experience. I really did. I enjoy Chef Donald Link's culinary approach and his attitude to food. So it was with some anticipation that I booked a table for dinner at Herbsaint. But despite my dogged attempts to enjoy the experience, it proved underwhelming.... More

I chose this restaurant because 1. I could take my dogs and 2. It was rated one of the top restaurants in New Orleans. Staff was great to me and my dogs, food was very good and wine list was nice as well. I had some smalls and enjoyed them, some more than others but it was just personal preference... More

Every mouthful was a delight. So very comforting, flavorful and delicious. Nothing heavy, proportions are generous, despite four of us sharing 4 small plates and an entree, plus a desert each afterwards, but we were completely sated, body and soul.

Having read reviews and having had the restaurant recommended to me by a friend, I was slightly disappointed to find it didn't live up to my expectations... But not because of the food, the noise level was excessive, we could barely speak. The music played was classic rock, in the city that's known for jazz and blues. That being said,... More

Excellent, excellent restaurant in the Warehouse District, walkable from the convention center area - although a good walk. Quaint neigborhood-like vibe. Service and food were all excellent. We started with great cocktails from their aperitif menu and were pleased we did. Well selected wine list and all around excellent food. I was very impressed with their accommodation for food allergies.... More

Monday Anniversary dinner at Herbsaint - Donald Link's restaurant in the central business district. We had high expectations and were not disappointed. We shared a few small plates, including the baked asiago cheese, Louisiana shrimp with rice and the butter poached tuna. It's incredible from concept to execution. You have a view into where the ingredients come from, the local... More

My husband and I dine at Herbsaint when we visit NOLA. On this visit, we had one problem - one hour delay with our reservation, although the staff comped an appetizer for us at the bar while we waited as well as gave us a free dessert. Our server, Caitlin, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine... More
