Modern take on NOLA cuisine

Food and service were phenomenal. I loved the modern take on some classics. Very nice atmosphere as well. The gnocchi was amazing.

Nice restaurant close to Lafayette Sq. Menu wasn´t anything special but it tasted good. One problem appeared during our dinner (we were 5 of us) - delay. We were waiting quite long our food and later on drinks. Having dinner outside was what we were looking for and they really fixed rapidly problem with suddenly rain. Tables were moved right... More

It was so good that we went back a second night on our trip. This place is truly gourmet New Orleans. I suggest the Jumbo lump crab with Watermelon Gazpacho. Beef Short Rib with Potato Rosti. Louisiana Shrimp with Calasparra Rice. All were first class and outstanding

My wife and I ate lunch at Herbsaint the first day in town and it was wonderful. The pork rillettes were super high quality and delicious. The thinly sliced roast beef served on focaccia with horseradish cream was equally delicious. The thing that struck me about the menu and food was how simple the preparations were, but how high quality... More

We had a wonderful dinner here and enjoyed every savory bite. The gumbo was to die for. We also split some duck confit with dirty rice, some shrimp and grits and chicken with scallion risotto and crawfish. It was all delicious. Would have given it five stars but the service was not as good as the food. But well worth... More

Yes readers the Hopeful Traveler has started his review to his 65,000 readers with "a must stop". This is a rare honor well deserved. First the service is impeccable. Gracious and attentive. AND What a meal! Started out with a Pimms Cup and cheese plate. Just wonderful. We had the bone in pork chop special. ...faaaantastic. Had the spaghetti with... More

As recently still say, the best food in the United States is in New Orleans. Come to Herbsaint, and you will get what is the best local food. Take gumbo, duck and astonishing spaghetti with poached egg and of course a Sazerac.

Delicious food start to finish. The gumbo was excellent. I had a salad with leek vinaigrette that was exceptional. My friend had the shrimp main course and I had the duck confit. All were very well prepared. But as with many of these restaurants, the tall ceilings make for a really noisy space as the room gets crowded. But the... More

My husband and I have had dinner here which was fabulous, but their lunch menu is just as good. Dining alone, I choose to sit outside as it is quieter, the noise of the streetcar and traffic just adds to the atmosphere. One day I had steak with Chimichurri, but my favorite dish is the braised chicken with Guanciale, tomato... More
