We ended a 4 day eating marathon at Herbsaint and it was the highlight of the trip. Outstanding but unobtrusive service, a pretty room and food and cocktails that were beyond. Order the short rib with Rosti potatoes, salsa verde and horseradish cream if it's on the menu. The perfect plate of food! Everyone in our party of four were... More

Excellent service and food, but it is very noisy. They do have a back room that you can reserve for large groups.

So the food measures up to what you've been expecting, great food that is made with real thought and care. We had a bunch of small plates and wanted more, sadly, the server was missing in action for over 20 minutes. We wanted to order dessert but by the time she bothered to come back, we were so mad, we... More

Delicious small plates. Rabbit, gumbo, French fries (don't miss), crabmeat appetizer and more. Only wish we had had time for dessert. Will return soon.

I too stumbled on Herbsaint, while wondering whether to eat next door. Attentive service, and a very good kitchen. I stuck to the daily gumbo which had great layers of flavour, and a stock that tasted about six hours deep. After that a duck rillette, which was served warm and was mushed onto grilled bread: again better flavours than most... More

this was one of my favorite meals in New Orleans. I randomly stumbled upon this place and saw pictures of the delicious spaghetti and knew I had to come here and eat it. it just looked that good and when eating it, it lived up to it's photo! omg so good. I sent that picture to everyone and have talked... More

Excellent restaurant, with great service. The only reason why we aren't giving 5 starts is because there was significant lag between apps and main dishes, but overall it was great. We had Gumbo and Jumbo Crab watermelon Gazpacho to start (gazpacho was unreal), and three small plates to finish (rabbit, shot ribs and ceviche). The rabbit was the best small... More

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. The Rabbit Fricase small plate was so good we ordered a second. There was four of us dining and we were all blown away. The duck confit was what I had, and loved it. Next trip to NOLA I will definitely be back.

This restaurant looks very posh and the food is excellent. My guest did not want to sit outside, which is a shame, so we sat indoors with a table with about half a foot gap to the tables either side of us. This meant that there was no privacy, which is ok if you are just out for a meal,... More

We ate on Saturday evening. Small plates were the way to go. The fried egg on the homemade spaghetti was a highlight. I had the poached tuna, awesome. We had room for the best dessert I had in New Orleans, a coconut custard pie thingy.
