My husband and I ate here because we had tried Peche and Cochon the nights before and liked them so much we thought we should try Herbsaint. It didn't disappoint. The Rabbit Fricassee was one of the best dishes I have had anywhere. My husband had the Butter Poached Gulf Tuna and the Ceviche and enjoyed them both. The wait... More

Very good food, Very good service - located out of the French Quarter in a quiet area. My wife who is a vegetarian was quite pleased as was I.

What can I say that hasn't been said before about this "nouveau" classic! My husband had eaten here a few times while in NO on business. He highly recommended it when my daughter and I were in town recently. I save it for our last night in town and he wasn't wrong. Our server was the best kind of pro... More

It was nice to try something I've not eaten with a twist. Our waitress explained the different options on the menu, and was very proud of thier restaurant which was encouraging. Wish I knew her name to give her the credit. We were new to New Orleans, so she gave us some good references to see.

They have excellent food, some of it seen only here in this city. I liked the specialty drinks and the feel of the restaurant. I also liked its sister place Cochon. A charming place although a little tight from too many tables.

The panel of experts who compiled the "best of" lists for the wonderful newish N.O. restaurant guide "Eat Dat" rated Herbsaint tied for second on the list of "If you had time for only one meal in New Orleans, where would you go?" According to my wife and me, Herbsaint would be at the top of our list. Love the... More

Donald Links first restaurant and still fantastic. The gumbo is one of the best I ever had and his Tuna presentation is amazing. The small plates are all excellent and remember to get extra bread as you will all be dipping in the sauces! The service is terrific with an affordable and fairly large wine lst.

Went with friends while in New Orleans. We saw the reviews and decided to go. I can say the food was really just adequate. Overly salty side dishes and entree. Atmosphere was fairly quiet and reserved while we were there, but nothing the four of us ordered would encourage us to return. With the number of fabulous eateries available, I... More

Herbsaint serves up the best gumbo that I have ever had. The sauce is dark and rich, overwhelming with deep flavor. That day's offering was with smoked chicken and andouille. We also had the crispy goat with lentils, another flavorful dish. The wine offerings were excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant for lunch was excellent, service was a bit slow.... More

Great little restaurant. Busy, noisy, great service, great wine list. At the suggestion of the server, had the crab lump watermelon gespacho and the lamb neck. Absolutely amazing! My new favorite in NO.
