Had lunch at NOLA yesterday before heading home. It was by far one of the best lunch meals I had while on my trip. The shrimp and grits were creamy and savory. The waiter was super attentive . He went out of his way to go by a bottle of crystal hot sauce across the street since all the had... more

Didn't know what to expect, but figured if Emeril owned it I was going to get an amazing experience. While I will say the decor and the atmosphere was pretty nice, I was a little disappointed with the overall food. I don't want to knock the food and say it was terrible or anything, I guess I just wanted to... more

Tag-team service--four different servers worked our table--poor communication and no real feeling of personal interaction. The high point was my husband's duck entree which was moist, meaty, and delicious. Low points were the gumbo--watery, pale, and lacking any flavor but celery--and the barbeque shrimp, served in an extremely salty sauce that tasted like a straight reduction of Lea & Perrins with... more

I was skeptical of Emeril and his trourist trap jaunts, but we decided that based on walking distance and menu selection, we would give this place a try. We both fell deeply in love with it. The service was stellar and the food was amazing. Do yourself a favor and have the Cajun crabcake appetizer. It's definitely worth dying for. more

Up until now the two best meals of my life were both in Paris. But I think my dinner at Nola last night has taken the top spot. Everything was phenomenal, our whole group loved what they ordered. Here's what I had and absolutely recommend: Nola Lemonade (cocktail), Crab cakes (sauce was to die for), chicken andouille sausage gumbo (insanely... more

My girlfriend and I had a great dinner at NOLA last night. Service was as friendly, knowledgeable and professional as ever. I like old-world styled wines (e.g. France), while my girlfriend prefers new-world styled wines (California) and sommelier recommended the perfect bottle with minimal information given to him. (2006 Yann Chave Crozes-Hermitage "Rouvre") We had no reservations but were sat... more

My 13-year old daughter and I were able to walk in and get a table within 15 minutes on a friday night. We had a great table where we could watch all the activity in the kitchen...great fun for me a person who likes to cook and entertaining for her. The food was delicious and the wait staff terrific. We... more

I really loved the decor of the restaurant, I found it very cozy. I love how the kitchen is open so you can see them make the food. I thought the duck gumbo was too salty. The halibit, which was way over cooked. The duck confit pizza was a fun appetizer to eat. The shrimp and gritz was execellent. The... more
