This place was recommended to us by a hotel employee, and we were very pleased with it - so much so that we went there twice for dinner in a 6-night trip! Great service, great prices, and tasty food! Such a relief after having some unsatisfying meals!

This little bistro didn't show up in my research in advance of arrival in NOLA, but more than one local recommended it to us and we were not disappointed. Italian fare - classic dishes, nothing fancy, but good quality - real butter and real lemon used in white sauces etc. If you are mainly eating local flavours (creole), this is... More

A quiet little restaurant in a less hectic part of the French Quarter - excellent food, excellent service and very reasonable prices. Family friendly too. I had shrimp fra diavlo, and my wife had the spinach lasagna... bother were excellent. Even with wine and an appetizer, the entire meal, with tip, was under $75. Highly recommend you go here.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I had the carnivore pizza. It was so good and filling. Also had some of my sisters bread, that was delicious too. My sister got the mardi gras pasta. She said it was good, but I think she liked the pizza much more. I thought their pizza was the highlight of our... More

This place was recommended to us by a docent at the Beauregard-Keyes house as a local favorite. Boy was he right!!!! It is off the beaten path, more in the residential area of the French Quarter. It was nice and quiet and there was no wait. The service was outstanding for our large group. There were some yummy choices, so... More

When recently in New Orleans, we were asking locals about some of the lesser known places to dine. Almost everyone we asked told us about Mona Lisa, so we decided to try it. It was really good! This is a great little Italian restaurant in the French Quarter, that if you weren't looking for it, you may just walk right... More

There are lots of restaurants in the Quarter. Only a few stand out and this little gem is one of them. Good food at a fair price with super service. When you are tired of the non-sense on Bourbon and you want some nice Italian style food at a reasonable price with great service, THIS IS THE PLACE!!

I had the veal parm. It was soooo good! I can't wait to go back again! The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. The wine was amazing! Dessert was awesome too. Nice quiet place too. I highly recommend it to anyone.

we have been eating at Mona Lisa for close to 35 years now. The fact that it even exists that long speaks to how great it is. It is not expensive and it is very good. It is NOT a cookie cutter restaurant which seems to be all the rage these days. It IS a fun, informal place to have... More
