My meal was excellent; I had their Salade aux Choux de Bruxelle - Seared Brussels sprouts, creamy gorgonzola, duck bacon, red onions, sherry vinaigrette - and their daily special, gnocci with crawfish. Nice unpretentious restaurant with a nice porch. We (two people) had lunch.Fresh good quality bread with butter (I can't eat it but my companion enjoyed it). House salad (basically lattuce with blue cheese) + Gumbo (a soup). Grilled trout with vegetables . (pumpkin) x2. Rapsberry and dark chocolate sorbet (intriguingly strage flavour i.m.o. they should have split rapsberry sorbet and... More

We had a lovely lunch in this little house that has been converted to be open air. It was cold when we were there, so they had the plastic panels closed and the heat on, making it quite comfortable. There is a cemetery nearby that you can tour without a guide and the art museum is lovely, all accessible by... More

We went here for an afternoon snack. I loved the restaurant thought it was so cool. We had a cheese platter, which was phenomenal, Wine, and had this delicious lemon cake. We sat out on the patio and it was so relaxing watching life pass us by as we ate our cheese and drank our wine.

This place is absolutely spot on for a French neighborhood restaurant in NOLA. From a tree growing right thru the roof of the dining room to the perfectly slightly rude servers you feel at a French cafe all the way. Specials are always well placed and listen to the waiters recommendation on these. Escargots and pate are awesome and the... More

Another good meal at an excellent NOLA restaurant. The outdoor setting was a bit cool for the time of year, however the service and meals were enjoyed by all. My duck leg was cooked to perfection and just fell off the bone. My companions eat French Onion soup, which they consumed with out giving me at least a small taste.... More

Came here for a quick lunch before ending vacation and flying home. Sat in the patio area, and enjoyed the fresh air, sunshine, tree growing through the middle of the restaurant, and great food and service. Ordered the quail dish and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had a salad with chicken on top, excellant. Entire experience is well... More

So many of my out-of-town friends have raved about Cafe Degas that I had to try it. And so I did … and I liked it, but I didn't love it. The atmosphere was casual and fun, unpretentious. The dishes I ordered were good, and well priced, but there was nothing really special about them. And the service was, well,... More
