Camellia Grill is a throw-back to drug store dining at the counter, but no drug store ever served up the food that the Grill does. The pecan waffle was a delight and the omelets were huge (topped with chili made them even bigger). We went on a weekday and waited only a few minutes for a spot at the counter.... more

My wife and I have been to New Orleans several times. Camellia Grill has become a mandatory stop. This is an old fashioned diner that looks like it has not changed in a few decades. The breakfast is good, but you must have the chocolate pecan pie, warmed up and with a scoop of ice cream. What is really great... more

I've been to the Camellia Grill three of the four times that I've been to NOLA. I first saw it on the food network and made a point to find it on my first visit to New Orleans. My friend and I usually take an all night flight from Seattle, arrive at about 8:00 am, drop our bags off at... more

Camellia Grill is one of my favorite places to have breakfast in New Orleans. We catch the St Charles streetcar and try to be there right at 8am when they open. The omelets are huge, but the eggs are really light and fluffy. (They whip the eggs in a milkshake mixer to make them fluffy.) There are lots of different... more

This was my favourite restaurant in New Orleans. Their burgers are the best burgers you will ever have!!! The staff is very friendly which lends to the welcoming and homey atmosphere. There is almost always a line up but it is definitely well worth the wait. I would highly recommend it! more

This place is soooo not healthy but its a good breakfast spot. We went later in the day around 1030 on sunday and we didn't have to wait...missed the breakfast crowd i guess. Good service..funny and interesting. Hubby had omlette and he really enjoyed it. I had waffle and it was great. I loved it and I loved the liquid... more

The omelettes here are hard to beat--large portions with quality ingredients, and not greasy. The pecan waffles are also very good. But they don't serve butter-pecan syrup here. They have one dispenser with a buttery spread, and one with syrup. So it's up to you to find the perfect combination of butter and syrup (I use about 50/50). They also... more

The best potato, cheese and onion omelette EVER! The pecan waffle is heaven, pure heaven. This is one place worth taking the streetcar to. It only took 20 minutes from our hotel on Poydras on the St Charles Streetcar and it left us right in front. Please go here, you won't be disappointed. The staff are hilarious also. more
