The Camellia Grill is becoming a regular breakfast stop for us in New Orleans. It's right on the St. Charles streetcar line so it's easy to access (and the ride out is very pleasant). They do a great job on omelets, bacon, hash browns, etc., more or less standard breakfast fare, but of excellent quality. The servers put on a... More

Agree with other reviewers--this is a place that is known for it's fun and entertaining wait staff and quirkiness. We had a really good diner breakfast here--nothing stood out as fantastic but the place was super cool and fun and the food was good.

This is a cross between a roadside diner and a railroad car diner....with all counter seating. Very entertaining wait staff with quick service. Known for their breakfasts and little burgers...its worth the stop. Not gourmet, but a fun place to be...Located right off the St. Charles Line at the "Big Bend".....

Have been here many times over the years both as a late night stop after a night out in my college days and for a real breakfast at a reasonable hour in later years. Always a delight. Wait staff is very friendly, efficient and entertaining. Great breakfasts from fancy to just plain eggs and bacon at reasonable prices. Hamburgers excellent... More

Walked place this place after the line outside Cafe du Monde was too long - so glad we found it. Joey greeted us like we were the best of friends, had a great line in patter, took our order and delivered it perfectly without making a note, and sent us on our way very happy. Food was just fine -... More

Not fancy. A single counter for service but just as advertised on tv and by reputation. A fun experience in New Orleans and the food is good but it doesn't have to be a stop for every NOLA visit.

Recommended by a good friend who went to school there, it fell short of expectations. Our friend apparently remembered his college years eating at this place fondly and not very accurately unless it has changed since then. The staff is very, very helpful and friendly. The food and price is good but nothing exceptional.

Because the eating area is shaped like a horseshoe, you sit on bar stools, and everyone talks to each other. The servers and cooks also join in the fun chatter that is all around you.Great choice of food.
