While in Louisiana, of course we had to have breakfast, well more like brunch for us....lol. We found out about this place and decided to give it a try. Luckily this place was very easy to locate. However, we were almost discouraged because of the line to get in the place, but that meant to us that the food had... More

So my 5 year old at the time had the Cheeseburger with grilled onions, dressed with a dab of chili, Chili Cheese Fries and a Chocolate Freeze and Marvin the best waiter in the city. After, with a glazed look says, "Dad was this the best restaurant in the World? I SAID, why yes Dear. In some sense, why yes,... More

So just got back from NOLA and this was our last restaurant while in the city. A couple we met at the Beyonce concert recommended this to us. We were staying near the French Quarter so we went to THE GRILL (same as Camellia Grill). My husband had the chef's omelette and I played it safe with a waffle and... More

If you are looking for a restaurant with a local flair, this is a great place. It is a short order restaurant where you walk in and find the hostess seated immediately to your right. Your are directed by her to you seat where you are greeted by a jovial waiter. Seating is limited, but the atmosphere and the workers... More

Well this is Breakfast NOLA style! Straight up the best place to eat a morning meal in the entire Big Easy I'd post a picture but it'd be much better for me just to tell you to hop on the St. Charles line from Canal Street and get thee to Camellia's and EAT!

We heard about Camellia Grill on a travel show and decided we had to give it a try on our trip. We finally made it there for breakfast/lunch on our last day. My son ordered the Breakfast Po Boy and my husband and I split the Chef's Special Omelet with Chili and a side of grits. It was more than... More

This is a great place for the food. You can have breakfast anytime of the day. Everything is cooked as you order it, hamburgers to order and omelets of many styles. Great price and a fun experience.

We had an excellent experience at this lovely little diner. All seating is diner-style with stools around a large bar. Could see how seating could be a problem but it wasn't crowded when we went about 5:00 pm. Dennis was our very attentive and knowledgable waiter, and we were more than satisfied with all the menu options. You can get... More

Fortunately we didn't have to wait long to eat at this New Orleans institution. The atmosphere is unique, the service is entertaining, the prices are reasonable but the food was bland, greasy and most importantly the place was filthy. My wife said it best: "Robert Irvine would go crazy if he walked in." How often do they clean their appliances?... More
