It's OK

Grabbed dinner to go our first night in town based off of other reviews. Food was alright, maybe should try the breakfast. Prices were in line with the quality of the food. If you need pretty good diner food at a decent price CG has your hookup. Staff were some nice folks!

Rode the St. Charles streetcar down to Camella Grill for breakfast. Old school diner seating, had to wait for seats but well worth the wait! Ham omelet along with breakfast fries cooked to perfection, sourdough toast, and hot coffee - can't be beat. Leon was our server and provided excellent service, along with pleasant conversation.

This was our first time to Camellia Grill and certainly won't be our last. We left the French Quarter about 8:45 Saturday morning on the St. Charles Street Car. 30 or so minutes later we arrived at The Camellia Grill. The line was out the door, but we didn't realize there was no room for a line inside. We actually... More

We were advised to make it to Riverbend to have a pecan waffle at Camellia Grill, and very glad we did. We went on a Tuesday around 9am and had no wait. The pecan waffles are delicious, and we also got a potato & onion & cheese omelet which was fluffy, deceptively light and delicious. There is a reason why... More

Went to this restaurant for lunch based on our tour guides recommendation and we absolutely loved it. It reminded me of a 1960's malt shop and the food was absolutely delicious. Offering burgers, sandwiches, po'boys, pancakes and some other items it was a real treat. The service and servers were excellent, coupled with the food and ambiance, which made it... More

Great historic spot. If you are a local you must eat here at least once in your life time.. Its not a big place but its a top of the line waffle house to me.. Because of its service.. The waiters are great and attentive.. They hook the food up.. They also get you talking and conversating.. That's what its... More

Be prepared to wait for a spot, it's crowded. Much has been written about the wait staff, it seems to be true but mostly I saw hurried guys with far too many customers to wait on to be wisecrackin' with customers. The food, pecan waffles for me, was good. The highlight of our meal was the desert, a slice of... More

This no-frills diner hasn't changed in years, and who would want it to? There's a reason there's a line out the door every weekend morning, but why stand in it when this place is open til midnight on weeknights and 2 am on weekends. Stop by on your way home from Tips or the French Quarter and scarf down one... More
