Great breakfast

There are two Camellia Grills and we went to the one in the French Quarter on Chartes. Wonderful diner type place with huge omelettes and dark coffee. Gotta try the grits!

I [refance my remarks by mentioning that I have been visiting New Orleans for 19 years and spend 8 weeks+ in what I consider my second home. I have also eaten at the Camelia Grill before and, if not dazzled, then at least satisfied. Today marks a significant exception and is the reason I will never return. Hunger and a... More

Camellia Grill is one of my stops when in New Orleans. When we were in town for Jazz Fest we went twice for breakfast, once for a snack and once for dinner. I absolutely LOVE this place. They have kept the food the same over the years. I went to Tulane over 30 years ago and it all taste the... More

Camellia Grill is a must stop for breakfast. The food is delicious. The service is awesome. They make you feel extremely welcome. Will was our waiter. He greeted us like old friends despite the fact that we have never met. He was the best server by far in all of our New Orleans restaurant stops. We all had omelets and... More

no joke. Best omelet ever. Hands down. The staff was really cool, Marvin, in particular. Great atmosphere. All around good experience

When you watch a movie and there is a diner scene from back in the day it could have been filmed at Camellia Grill. The food is fantastic and the service is too. It's all counter dining, Marvin the man who takes the orders is friendly and on it. Marvin calls out the order and the cooks start making your... More

Camellia Grill has another location a block from Jackson Square but I love one out in the Garden District. It is such an experience! The whole deal of going to breakfast is a morning joy starting with a ride on the street car that will take you through the Garden District pass all the big trees and grand homes; it... More

A total highlight on this year's Jazzfest trip, and a new tradition for us. This place is a blast. It's SUPER retro, sorta dirty, and full-on SCRUMPTIOUS. Ignore the decades of stickiness and dig into their amazing poboys... just don't forget an order of cheese fries smothered in gravy!

Visited this historic eatery around 3pm. Ordered a mocha freeze, no mocha. Ordered a slice of chocolate pecan pie, no chocolate pecan pie. Ordered a burger with extra pickels, no pickles. Service from Chris was poor (I gathered he was tired from watching the boxing match the night before) and he was not personable. However, it was constantly busy and... More

wish I could say I had as great a time as my first experience here, but it was still good. Waiter we had years ago was friendly and talkative, but we went early in morning and think the waiter wasn't quite going yet. Was served well with our chilli cheese omelet, but the coffee wasn't very good and it wasn't... More
