We went for the pecan waffles since we had a good old craving for them. As per usual they were excellent. The whole experience is grand entertainment. Of course it is over priced but not to be missed. Service is great.

but it's worth the wait. Take your cell phone, check out FB or just talk until it's your turn. Think of it as an adventure like no other. Oh, and go HUNGRY. Breakfast is the best! but nothing will disappoint, unless you are allergic to grease. Bacon rules!

Went to the grill on chartres street in the french quater and had a wonderful breakfast. Fun to sit around a counter style table and see the food being cooked. tasty and huge omlettes, great start to a day.

We visited for breakfast around 10AM on Saturday December 13. Having expected to see a line of people there was none. We were seated within 15 minutes. The wait staff are great and interact with their guests. There is only space for about 25 patrons. The food .... good breakfast food...Basic but good and hot. I will definitely visit again

My family and I "stumbled upon" the Camellia Grill after a drive through the Garden District. I was a little put off by having to stand in line outside the restaurant. The counter seating arrangement was a little odd, but our party of 5 ended up getting to sit together. The staff was prompt and efficient, but the food was... More

I ordered the Chef's special omelet as a take out order. I did not call ahead, but the order only took about 10 minutes. The staff is very energetic and nice. The staff wear white shirts and black bow ties. Their dress looks cool with the diner type of atmosphere. There is a lack of parking, but I was able... More

I reviewed this place in 2011 and gave it 5 stars. There is new ownership and the restaurant name is no longer Camellia's. It's The Grill. I can see why the Camellia folks wanted their good name off the restaurant. The food was greasy and served cold (both figuratively and in fact). Decor is the same but the cute and... More

Do not leave town without a stop at Camellia's. You'll have to wait in line, the food is that good. And it's counter serving only, no tables. Just enjoy the entertainment from the waiters and cooks. Introduce yourself and tell them where you're from. They may even sing you a little song. Ask for Sam Cooke number. Then savor the... More

We have a tradition of hitting up this place on the last morning on the way out of town, and this trip was no different. It was my fiance's first time there, and she says the omelette is the best she's ever had. I'm inclined to agree...they are that good. I've heard they have good sandwiches, too, but, omelette. So... at the end of the st Charles trolley line so the ride alone is a delight. The place is a counter seating place that we went for sunday brunch. their specialty, since I saw so many served, were their giant omlettes with all the fixin's. Bargain price
