Great place.

Great food, great meal. excellent service. A place to go for a special occasion or just fine dining. They make a great Sezerac. Not cheap but worth the price.

Old school. Heavy on the sauces and sugar. Some of the patrons have been coming there for the past decade or longer and survived, so it is not all that bad. For example, soft-shell crab. It is an absolute must to try when its on the menu. Our gumbo was unremarkable, Cochon de Lait drowned in a heavy roux and... More

Classic NO dining. Old standby foods like shrimp remolaude and flounder Meneuire. All good and great service as I expect in New Orleans. No possible complaints. Have eaten there three times and would go for four.

When visiting NOLA always make an evening of going to Brigtsen's. Hop on the old St Charles streetcar and ride through the Garden District. This visit however, due to construction, the St Charles line not running as usual. So a cab ride from the center of the French Quarter, with tip, was $20. For those of you who study menus... More

What a great dining experience. The service and the brilliant dishes never disappoint. I have dined here six or eight times in recent years and consider it one of the top three restaurants in New Orleans, which says a lot. The clients and friends I bring always rave about the food, especially when they try something they normally wouldn't eat...like... More

U-on the recommendation of friend who used to live in New Orleans, and still visits frequently we decided to try Brigtsen's during our recent visit. A small restaurant near the end of St Charles, its a taxi (or streetcar) ride away from the more populated areas, but worth the trip. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the food... Good reviews led us to booking at Brigtsen's and we were not disappointed. Our server Ashley was wonderful and when a glass was empty and she wasn't around for a second, the rest of the staff jumped in. The watermelon & cucumber salad was so simple and so amazing. The gulf fish was delicious (especially with the potatoes). The redfish... More

After all the good reviews, we booked in advance for our last night in New Orleans. The food was average and the service casual, almost brusque. My roast pork was tender but the presentation was unappealing - brown, yellow and grey, no garnish. The over-salting referred to seems to have been fixed, because my partner had to request salt and... More

One of my good dining choices in NOLA. Go here instead of Commanders Palace because the food is better and service just as good. Dress nicely because even the locals dress well here. Just keep the shorts for french quarter. Food was excellent and our waiter very attentive.

Top notch, 5 star meal. Service was as good as we've ever received. The renovated house along with the 15 minute cab ride to get there (from Canal) added to the night. GET THE RABBIT... just do it. It was excellent. and we've been back since just for it.
