My wife and I went to Brigtsens again for our second trip to New Orleans. Our waitress and the hostess were incredibly friendly and the service was fantastic. Of course, we ordered the shrimp bisque soup which is best soup I have ever had in my entire life. It's absolutely perfect. The next time you are in New Orleans do... More

Whenever we go to New Orleans, we go to Brigtsen's. That's it. We have never been disappointed and have always been amazed. I think that Brigtsen's is one of the best restaurants to which I have ever been. It is truly worth the effort to get to the river's bend. Brigtsen's is located in a house on Dante Street. Our... One of the best in the city which is saying a lot. Must dine here if you're a foodie and in NOLA. Great service, great food, etc etc etc. No amount of adjectives is enough to describe how good it is!

We have been told to eat at Brigtsen's for years, and finally made it. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner, and the drinks were amazing as well. Great wine selections to match the fantastic food. Try the veal with oysters!

I have made Brigtsen's a mandatory stop on my visits to New Orleans for the last 20 years. It simply is the best place to eat in NO. On my last visit, we ate at Brigtsen's, Commander's Palace, and NOLA. Of the three, Brigtsen's was far and away the best - and it was also the least expensive. Well worth... More

First meal on this visit ans so glad we'd made the Saturday night reservation. This will seem odd, but the cup of coffee I had with my bread pudding souffle was the best cup in the entire city!!

This restaurant is at Riverbend, about a $25 cab ride from Canal Street. It is NO home cooking. Great and varied menu. We were part of a group of 17 and had our own room--they were very accommodating for our party. My wife and I shared the house salad, which was fairly large; splitting it was definitely the correct decision.... More

Of the meals we had in New Orleans, this was the best from start to finish in every respect. The butternut squash soup was like a creamy essence of shrimp, with the squash adding color and a subtle sweetness. The flounder with lemon mousseline sauce was fabulous. The seafood platter was like nothing I have ever had, and the pecan... More

This is usually one our repeat choices when in town; however, the last two visits have not left us as impressed as before. Last visit was on a quiet Thursday evening. As usual the setting was charming and the server very nice. However, it was so quiet and our table was so close to the other one that we heard... More
