Pecan Pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Save room for the pecan pie!!! The sauces are unbelievable... anything you order is fabulous. A bit of a drive, but you are eating with the locals which is a nice change.

This is not a cheap place for dinner. Plan to spend 125-150 for two. That being said. ..I will be more expecting. The duck I had was dry and over cooked...the lamb my wife had was tough and chewy.it was either a bad shank or not cooked low and slow . The rice was perfect. The veggies good. And I... More

Located in a lovely cottage in the Riverbend area where St. Charles Avenue meets Carrollton Avenue, Brigtsen's has deservedly been a destination for locals and savvy tourists. You'll be seated in one of several small, beautifully decorated rooms, so the atmosphere is utterly civilized. Conversations are easy here. The service is polished without being in any way fussy. The menu... More

My husband and I recently went here for a date night, and it was a great choice! The dress code is a bit nicer, so it gave us the opportunity to dress up :) (Not overly fancy though--I went with a standard black dress and heels.) I had the rabbit tenderloin appetizer (yummy) with the tilapia entree (very light and... More

We seldom eat at the pricier restaurants in our city - there are simply so many in our price range. We do, however visit some of the more exclusive ones and finally made it to Brigtsen's last weekend. We will never take guests anywhere else for a special meal. There were 4 of us and we ordered 4 different meals... More

Brigtsen's is THE restaurant I always make of point of visiting when I'm in NOLA. Do be prepared to take a long cab ride to and from the Quarter if you're staying in town. I assure you it's worth it. Brigtsen's is one of the compelling reasons to go to New Orleans in the first place. In the twenty or... More

Brigtsen's is in a little cottage in a quiet area of New Orleans. The owner is wonderful and very friendly! You can tell lots of locals go there. The food was also fantastic. My mother had speckled trout breaded with pecans and she's still talking about it.

Had the seafood platter as usual and as far as I am concerned it is great with great variety -not fried-a mixed of both items and tastes-I honestly should but will not try something else. Then the finish -every body has bread pudding but here the banana bread pudding is awesome

Come here to get away from tourist restaurants. Located in a converted house in neighborhood a few miles away from the French Quarter, it's worth the cab ride. Have a glass of wine out on the lawn before dinner. Reservations are a must well in advance, especially during Jazz Fest - I called over 2 months in advance and barely... More

Brigsten's came highly recommended by a famous Chicago chef and restauranteur. Fortunately we were able to get a reservation when we came to NOLA and they did not disappoint!!! The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Most memorable were the gumbo, tuna, duck and rabbit. I'm not usually a pecan pie eater, but I trusted the recommendation and... More
