Commander's Palace welcomes everyone but we do have a dress code. It's a festive atmosphere! Shorts are never allowed. Inventive modern New Orleans cooking coexists with our Haute Creole. Sense the team's professional grace clothed in the warmth of the Brennan Family's brand of hospitality. From your first sip of a Sazerac to your last crumb of bread pudding soufflé, we hope you are pampered and delighted...and go ahead be a little bad...that's what living in New Orleans is all about.

Food continues to be outstanding with "old" and "new" menu items. Staff are courteous and make you feel very special - no matter the occasion. Take your time and enjoy the ambiance. Use Valet parking service

There are many restaurants to love in New Orleans, but Commander's Palace is one of the very, very best and the most reliable. We ate here Feb 6, 2013 for lunch. It was Mardi Gras parade season and at least one Krewe was having a luncheon - many of the people were dressed in their Mardi Gras "wear on the... More

We went in for the 25 cent martini lunch that happens every Monday - Friday. The building is a beautiful old space, and the decor inside is very elegant feeling. We sat in the main dining room, and it felt quite intimate even though it was quite crowded. If you want to sit in a nicer area of the restaurant,... More

My family and I visited Commander's Palace on our first trip to NOLA after reading so many great reviews. We were not disappointed! We enjoyed the Sunday jazz brunch. We didn't have a reservation and were decidedly dressed down, but were still treated with great service. Seated in the courtyard and enjoyed the band that traveled throughout the various rooms.... After all of the the reviews, we found this restaurant to be very average. The service was excellent and what I did like is that everyone in the party gets served simultaneously. They bring out how ever many waitstaff to surround the table and place your entree/desserts down at once. Otherwise, stay downtown, it was not worth the cab ride... More

Another Brennan's restaurant and well-known by the locals, Commander's Palace is located in the Garden District and is a short cab ride from the French Quarter. The food is beyond compare - always fresh, always delicious. Try the Turtle Soup - it's rich, and arguably the best in New Orleans. The service is amazing. And don't worry about getting back,... We make Commanders Brunch a minimum of twice a year. We would go more if we lived in New Orleans. It is offered both Saturday & Sunday. Quite frankly the best place for Brunch i have ever been. We have eaten in just about every room but favor the main dining room for ambiance and people watching. You get to... More

Dined here on a recent trip with my wife and another couple. We had to change our reservations the day before our dinner and they were very accommodating. We arrived and were shown immediately to our table. The decor is only what I can call whimsical. I stuck to the standards, ordering the turtle soup, an Osso Bucco, and the... More

What can I say that hasn't already been said? We got there a little early and had a nice stroll in the garden district. We were seated in beautifully decorated sunroom. The muses were all there in costumes! That was awesome. I had the turtle soup, shrimp and grits, and bread pudding souffle with whisky cream sauce. Everything was delicious.... More
