We had a Saturday brunch last month. We had a reservation and were led to our table immediately upon arrival. BUT: we had to go through a KITCHEN (We have been to hundreds of restaurants, one-star or five-star, and never had that experience before). After passing several rushing, tray-carrying waiter staff and a garden or rather a backyard, we were... More

From the moment we entered we felt welcome, at home, and important. The menu had everything we could want. We were a bit disappointed that the tasting menu was Passover centric. It looked and I'm sure it was great but very one dimensional. We elected to order off menu and everything was excellent. I had their quasi take on a... More

We had lunch and dinner a few days apart. The lunch was very good. Any meal that starts with .25 cent martin is can't be all bad, and this one was very good. Our server was a delight. We came back three days later for dinner. DISSASTER. Restaurant was way over booked. Waited for close to an hour for our... More

Decided to have lunch here because our tour guide from yesterday told us how fabulous it would be. She was right! We had a delicious turtle soup (one of their specialties) to start. The cassoulet was fabulous… And very filling. They offer $.25 martinis with an entrée. We did not take them up on that; however I had the Crescent... More

I have traveled the world and ate at many restaurants. Commander's Palace is like no other. I was in a party of four and we enjoyed a weekday lunch. The food is so rich and decadent I recommend brunch or lunch reservations so you can work off the calories the remainder of the day. The whole dining experience was magical.... More

We were first introduced to Commander's Palace when it was located in Las Vegas and our son worked there. We love the Turtle Soup. The restaurant has been closed in Las Vegas for several years, so now we are forced (darn) to go to New Orleans and enjoy the Turtle Soup there!!!

I know I have reviewed them highly before, but I just enjoyed introducing 6 of my friends to CP and enjoyed watching them be amazed by the ambiance, the delicious food, and the off the hook great service. We were celebrating the retirement of our Director, and the evening was so special when he was greeted by name at the... More

We had read this was one of the best restaurants in the city, and the food was certainly good, but the service fell short. We waited a long time for the wine and then it was not chilled, and the main course arrived before the appetizer. To their credit, they admitted a mess up and comped the wine and the... More
