Simply stated, Commander's is a truly great restaurant. The menu is strong, the food superb, and the service is excellent. For a huge restaurant the noise level is quiet and the decor is welcoming. We also were given a tour of the entire restaurant by the manager.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip to New Orleans. We heard a lot of wonderful things about Commander's Palace, and were excited to try it. The food was good, but was far surpassed by the extremely obnoxious table sitting by us for the entire meal. I am one for fun, but this behavior was inappropriate and selfish. People... More

Absolutely the most amazing dinner experience we had while in New Orleans. Food is top notch, service is impeccable and handled by a passionate and knowledgeable staff. We ordered the three course dinner and each course was served in a timely manner with no rush. If you are looking for a truly top of the line dinner experience do not... More

Commander's Palace was one of the finest restaurants I can say I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. The bread pudding souffle for dessert, was exceedingly delicious and light as a feather. If I had a choice of one last dessert to eat, it would be a tough choice between the bread pudding souffle and one of my... More

This was almost a perfect lunch. How do you beat 25 cents martinis? Have outstanding food to boot. Everything we ordered was wonderful. The only thing that made it not completely 5 stars, but maybe 4 3/4 stars is that the waitress forgot to bring us one of the appetizers we ordered. When we mentioned it after lunch, she said,... A definite place to go to while visiting New Orleans. This place is an old establishment but not old on taste and flair. There wasn't anything that our group ordered that wasn't very tasty! I ordered the filet mignon! Incredible ! Cooked perfectly and the meat was aged just right....the sauce....hmmmmm. Yummy. The service was perfect! Make sure you make... More

This was my first adult visit to New Orleans and having seen Commander's Palace on Top Chef I just had to try it! My sisters and I were VERY impressed! The bread pudding souffle was..in a word..ridiculous! I also highly recommend the beef belly. We were seated in the upstairs garden area which added a relaxed feeling to a gorgeous... More

food and ambience are wonderful. Commander's Palace makes it worthwhile to visit the Garden District. not the best meal in New Orleans, but an institution that should be visited.

We had an excellent lunch at Commader's Palace last Friday. Service was great! We don't get this type of service in Northeast. Everything we had was so delicious. You can't beat the 25 cent martini on weekdays. We wish Brennan's family will open up a restaurant in the Boston area. We will definitely go back when we are in New... More

From the line of employees that great you on arrival, to the prompt continuous service (drinks always refilled before they got low, courses timed to perfection with our pace, pleasant, yet not invasive attention), to the food. We had about half the menu (or at least it felt like it) and everything was delightful. Trust your servers knowledge if you... More
