A little crowded in sitting, but worth it, great service and the food was excellent, six of us dining, all ordered different items and all were cooked to perfection. Would call it italian/swiss and an easy walk to french quarter after. Favourtites were the ravioli, seafood medley and the oysters.

Ok, the title of this review is what the waiter told my wife after a long night with some seriously difficult surrounding tables. We ordered dessert with a request to remove the raspberry sauce. An order was delivered with the sauce - no biggie - it was GREAT. But when our waiter brought to one without the sauce, he told... More

We made early reservations and were seated right away. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. It's a very small restaurant and, as we were leaving, people were being told it would be an hour wait (on a Wed). There is a nice piano bar while you wait, but I would suggest reservations. This was the best meal... More

I ate here on 4-5-14, and the food was great. Me and a couple friends were able to get a table right away, but there was a wait, so keep that in mind. I had the escargot for my appetizer, and it was delicious. Our waiter Sonny took great care of us, and was very knowledgable about the menu. The... More

There are so many excellent restaurants in the French Quarter, but Irene’s is good food, good service and very comfortable surroundings. I have known Irene for years, so maybe I’m biased, but I always go there on every visit to New Orleans.

It's a great place if you like home style Italian food. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I wish I could have eaten here a second time!

I had never been to New Orleans before and didn't know what to expect but had been told there are great restaurants and food a plenty. This is so true and we discovered this first hand when our friends took us to Irene's for our first night out. What a perfect introduction to the whole look and feel of the... More

I'll keep it short and simple. This was the fourth time to eat at Irene's since discovering it four years ago. Its my first stop every time I visit the French Quarter. Short and simple, its the best place to eat in the FQ, hands down. ENJOY!

Stumbled on this place while wandering in the French Quarter on our first day there. I had the lasagna which I thought was the best I've had in a long time. The pasta is made there and it was very thin and light. They did not have a kids menu for my 8 year old but they made her a... More

Crowded and loud, it's a popular place for sure. We enjoyed the complimentary crostini with garlic and parm, followed by very tasty veal Marsala and chicken with rosemary. The food took quite a long time to reach the table, the service was friendly but not always easy to find.
