Don't Know Why We've Never Been Here Before

After all the times we've been to MSY, this was our first encounter here. Someone at Dan's hotel suggested it and I'm glad he did. This place was packed, but our table was ready. We started with the blue crab wontons which were ok, but not much crab nor pork. We had thought of opting for one of... read more

Booth gives you great view of restaurant. Dinner was fabulous - highly suggest Scallabot. Service was excellent and loved the biscuits. If you don't have reservations try to get seating at bar which is also great - bartenders take care of you.

A gourmet paradise. I brought clients there and they mouthed 'oohs' and 'aahs' through the whole meal. No kidding! I have spent a lifetime eating fish and seafood, love both, but never had a piece of fish so tasty as I did at GW Fins.

We have been 4 times in 4 Years. Need I say more. Make reservations early for a table near the back for a more quiet setting.

Our group of 12 enjoyed several appetizers/salads all of which were delicious. The menu is different each day depending upon the fresh availability of seafood. Meat dishes also. Liked that GW Fins allowed for sharing of meals. This is all done in the kitchen and served as a completed dish. After you are in New Orleans for a few days... More

We had 6:45 PM reservations and were seated on time. Our wait staff were extremely attentive. The wine list was very good. However, the restaurant has a small corkage fee of $15 dollars which is great for a restaurant of this caliber. We brought our own bottle. We had the smoked oyster appetizer and the lobster ravioli appetizer and both... More

We are touring the southern area of the USA! Heading back to New Orleans in 3 weeks! Our table has been reserved for our last night!

If you are looking for fresh seafood this is the place. I had the Oysters as an app, they were broiled, plump and the best I have had ever. The combination seafood plate was beyond anything I expected. It was served with a lobster risotto that was unbelievable. This is a winner you will not forget.

My wife and I recently visited NOLA for the first time and did a fair amount of research on restaurants to visit since this was part of the reason for our trip, to experience the local flavor. This place was highly rated on TripAdvisor so luckily we called as soon as we arrived to make a reservation and it was... More

The staff is very friendly at this French Quarter restaurant. When I arrived for our reservation with a teenage boy who wasn't in a collared shirt, they quickly produced one and didn't make him feel uncomfortable. The seating is very spacious and comfortable. The menu changes daily and has very fresh seafood options. I felt they did a nice job... More
