My husband and I cannot ever eat at another seafood restaurant again without comparing it to GW Fins. Some adjectives we used during the meal: delicious, divine, holy cow (not really an adjective, I know), yummy and the meal ended with us fighting over who got to have the last lobster dumpling. I won. I can't wait to come back!

The atmosphere and service were excellent. The lobster dumpling appetizer was outstanding. All of our entrees were delicious. Try the bread pudding desert.

Although you are only a couple of doors off of Bourbon St, you are a world away. The atmoshphere is sophisticated and subtle. The menu is primarily seafood and crosses the spectrum from local to global. We could not quite bring ourselves to order the house special "scalibut" as a meal so did it as a table appetizer. Great combination... More

A great restaurant just around the corner from Bourbon Street. The atmosphere is refined but in no way stuffy. The menu has a wide selection, mainly seafood, but plenty of other dishes and the wine list was comprehensive. The food was excellent and the service likewise. Fairly expensive but definitely good value.

First let me start by saying that my husband and I have dined in some of the best restaurants in the world. Our benchmark for restaurants is our #1 Restaurant Gary Danko in San Francisco. This was our first time to GW Fins and it will not the last! After reading all of the reviews, we had very high expectations.... More

We learned that the locals just call it "Fins." Up front, my bride said this was the best meal of the trip. She was so taken that she got a menu and intends to frame it. I need to think about that accolade because it had been five weeks on this trip and we have seen and eaten a lot.... More

I ate here twice, once as a big group and then just myself and a colleague. Its a little quieter and more sedate than many places near Bourbon Street and ideal for a business meal or a romantic evening. The service is polite and knowledgeable and the food excellent. Really enjoyed the Wahu and Tuna mains. Great wines as well.

A half block off "crazy" Bourbon St. is the lovely, civilized, spacious, & delicious GW Fins. As a friend said, "if you can't find a fish or seafood you like at GW Fins, you never will". Our evening was perfect starting with pot stickers with blue crab, the triple wedge salad (a must if you dine here), on to the... More

Front staff rude. Waiter rude. Definitely not kid friendly. Food average. Great caesar salad though. Will not return.

Service was great, so was the food. I expected a lottle more cajun but it was good. We lucked out but you definitely need reservations.
