we arrived fifteen minutes early and instead of sitting us, they put us in the penalty box and made us wait 15 minutes for our table, despite the fact that tables were available. when we were seated we asked for drinks with tino's vodka-no problem the waiter told us, well they didn't have tino's -which is what we had told... Granted it's hard to get a bad meal in NOLA. But for a fabulous meal you must go to GW Fins. Menu changes daily according to what fresh fish the chef is able to get. Forget the typical fried seafood platters. This is 5 star food! Blue crab pot stickers are to die for. Gumbo is the best in the... More

Service was superb! Same with food. Our waiter was at our service only when we needed him offering us what we never have expected. Among that was rice floured (glutting free) soft shell crabs my wife has never tried before. Next time I am in New Orleans - I will go there for sure.

This is the place if you like fish. Soft shell crab is wonderful. The parm crusted sheepshead with lump crab meat was delightful. If you are dressed down eat at the bar. Bartenders were great!

We went for dinner last weekend but decided to share a bunch of starters. The restaurant was very busy even later on in the evening but a great atmosphere. Service was excellent, Allen was our server, at tentative and fun. My favourite starter was the lobster dumplings. The crab cake, mushroom risotto, tuna tartar, gumbo were all very good. I... More

Reservations are a must at this exceptional NOLA restaurant in the heart of the French Quarter. Professional service, unique menu, great wine list. I enjoyed their creation "Scalibut" and it was fantastic.

Do yourself a favour and go to this classy restaurant where the service is excellent, the food delicious and the prices reasonable given the quality. My husband and I greatly enjoyed chatting with Ryan ( our awesome waiter) and enjoyed 3 delicious courses. We could not fault this restaurant

Went there on the TripAdvisor recommendations during my recent trip to USA - it was one of the best meals I had during my travels. From the cloth table cover to water on the table without asking and the impeccable service it was an experience to remember. The food amongst the 4 of us was amazing and the cost will... More

We had the specialty "scalibut" which is a fresh halibut embedded with scallops. It was served over a bed of lobster risotto. It is without a doubt the best meal I have ever had and that is saying a lot. The service was great and it is right in the French Quarter so convenient after exploring the area. You must... More

Had dinner here with my hubby and another couple for my birthday last night. GW Fins has earned the top spot on Trip Advisor, in my opinion. We reserved early and waited maybe 10 minutes for a table. Three staff members offered birthday greetings before we received menus! There were also nice, tasteful special occasion surprises at the table and... More
