Greasy Spoon in the Fruit Loop

Clover Grill is a diner with an open grill area in the heart of the gay area of the French Quarter. It is open 24/7; the food is good; they have breakfast all the time, and they have tater tots (an old favorite of mine). I love it. We try to eat there at least once a month or so.... read more

When I first moved into New Orleans I lived right across the street for the Clover Grill. Great food, open 24 hours, busy on the weekends, but worth the wait.

We eat breakfast at Clover Grill every time we go to New Orleans and occassionally we drop in for a cheeseburger and chocolate shake. Breakfast is around $6 for 2 eggs, bacon, toast and grits or hash browns. The cheeseburgers are good and basic and the shakes are amazing. The Clover Grill is open 24/7 and located right on Bourbon... More

World's best burger? Maybe!! Certainly enjoyed ourselves here. The cooks were awesome and personable. The burgers moist and flavorful. Tater Tots!! Can you say TATER TOTS??? Ok, you'll see this a lot from me if you read my reviews. I love Tatertots! ;) Yes, it was good, quick service and we even got to experience the customer only bathroom that... More

I must get a hamburger from here every time I'm in NOLA. It is the perfect food to end the night with after you have been drinking all day. I always get takeout and return to my room. The waitstaff is a little testy but if you are nice and have patience then its totally worth the wait. If you... More

A quick, easy lunch. The staff was attentive and friendly. We had burgers but they also serve 24hr breakfast. Nothing fancy, but clean and cheap. Also, terrific tater tots!

Have been to the Clover Grill in the past when it used to have the best burgers ever. Now they are just average and the service was dismal. Only 3 other patrons in the place and I was sitting at the counter practically begging to be served. Having eaten there in the past I assumed it would be worth the... More

The establishment is small; the serve is slow. The Home style breakfast of a Fried Pork Chop, Two Fried Eggs & Hash Brown was delicious (no dietting here ... YUM).

Sometimes you just need a hearty breakfast to start your day, especially after a Sunday Saints game. We ended up here for a later breakfast and it was really good. Plan on larger portions and do not plan on eating here if you are looking for something on the healthier side. Everything served is just a good pile of unhealthy... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
