The street seems full of interesting establishments but none were as busy as Jacques-Imo's. They are clearly the 'IN' place to be. Parking is difficult as only available in the street so that takes some time to organise. The place was buzzing and we had a 30 minute wait. The time flew by looking at all the unusual paintings, bric-a-brac, etc.... More

Don't think I have been to a place like it. They do not take reservations.......we were ahead of our schedule and actually ended up arriving there just after opening time. Within 30 minutes, every table that we could see (which was a majority of them) was full. It is also the first time I walked through the restaurant kitchen to... More

Everything was delicious, service impeccable, not your average choices, a little on the noisy side but well worth it!

Each time I visit this establishment I am never dissapointed. I try to order something different each time I go. I ordered the Eggplant Pirouge this time and was very impressed with the presentation and quality of the offering. Of course, my wife's fried chicken was superb as always. The funky atmosphere enhances the dining experience. Highly recommended.

We were there during Mardis Gras, so we got there early to beat the rush. Service was fast, food was great. Ambience is festive. Highly recommend.

Too much money to pay for so-so food. Better to go to a nicer place with more updated menu and food like Boucherie or Borgne or even superior seafood. Don't think the food here is anything special

Friend sent us there and it was great. Quirky, so new awlins and the food was fabulously seriously 'southern'. Certainly worth the trek from the French Quarter on the St. Charles street car line.

Went here with one of my best friends from Metairie about 10 years ago and head back almost on every trip to the big easy. Love the location, which is out and away from the Quarter and not far from the river. It's got a great New Orleans neighborhood feel, even though others have opened-up shop not far away. Be... More

Jacques-Imo's is an excellent restaurant for a great casual dining experience! It is a quaint restaurant with lots of atmosphere! To get to our table, we actually walked through the kitchen! The food was excellent and they have unique items on the menu such as the alligator cheesecake and other items. Everybody in the restaurant was having a good time... More
