We were there on a Thursday Night and waited 45 minutes for our table but it was well worth the wait, while waiting you can have a tasty watermelon mojitos at the bar or walk down Oak St and check out the cute shops and bars. The hostess will take your cell number and text you when your table is... More

So, a friend of a friend recommended this restaurant. Dress up, dress down, it doesn't matter. You'll fit right in. Looked like out-of-towners and locals both frequent this place. Decor was interesting.... food was wonderful! But be ready to step out of your comfort zone. The menu includes rabbit, duck, venison and some amazing looking seafood dishes. Wish I could... More

This place has some good food. Not great, but good. There is not a lot of space, so everyone is on top of each other when eating and it gets very noisy, but it has a great vibe to it and plenty of atmosphere.

Would never had gone here had a local friend not taken me on the drive from downtown to uptown. This local joint is in a really quaint part of NOLA. The food was exceptional local fare and they had a good mix of fried and fresh on the menu. The pan fried drum was amazing as were the appetizers. Great... More

I had the alligator cheesecake for an appetizer, watermelon mojito, and the desk breast with orange glaze and pecans... This place is food heaven!

This is a great place. The food, ambiance and service was great. The restaurant is a bit of a drive from the French Quarters, but well worth it. Make sure to order the stuffed shrimp appetizer. The place is lively and always full. Expect a wait, however, there is a full service bar to pass the time.

We have been to Jacques many, many times, always with a reservation because we have had a party of five or more. On our recent visit, we were seated in the annex, next door. Totally not the same atmosphere as the restaurant. I made the reservation two months in advance! In the annex we were seated with two very large,... More

Eating here feels like eating on your mom's covered patio. It's very low key, the food is delicious home cooking, the staff is friendly.

We just returned to New Orleans with a group of 10 friends, and I felt obligated to make a few of the plans since I lived down here for a few years. This has always been one of my favorites, and I make an appoint to go every time I am in town. The atmosphere is one of the best... More
