We did have a wait because they didn't take reservations unless you were a party of 5. It was a little drive from the city. 1st time trying fried green tomatoes. Loved them!! They are awesome! It's always a treat to dine at Jacques-Imo's Cafe. The food was wonderful, it was a fun atmosphere, and service was great! Our waiter was Ryan and he made sure we were well taken care of. If visiting NOLA, I wouldn't miss the chance to eat here.......lots of the locals do!

My best friend just moved here. The first place to take her was Jacques-Imos of course! Lemon drop martinis were expertly made . The alligator cheesecake was to die for. She loved the stuffed porkchop and the fried soft shell crab entree. We were stuffed with no room for dessert. Her first rate experience at this New Orleans star was... More

Great Drum and Mahi, which they did w/o shellfish for us. Parking is a pain, but great food, atmosphere and service. Could have substituted their lagniappe if the had been thinking a bit more.

All of us enjoyed our dinner so much at Jacques-Imo's. I had their Catfish which was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Make reservations before you arrive in New Orleans. They are so busy that you may not get one. We took the Street Car their which was perfect with great views of some really beautiful homes and magnificent architecture.

Just a quick Kabwe away you will find this restaurant. Well worth the cab there. Country fried chicken and fish and gumbo… They have it all. Met the owner pictured here in the middle as we were leaving. Next-door is a great jazz club, fun for all.

My son, who went to Tulane first informed of us Jacques-Imos and we ahve never gone to NO without eating there. If you area regular to NO then I am preaching to the choir. The food and atmosphere is second to none. The wait staff is awesome. On several occasions our deserts were on the house. The fried Chicken is... More

We had several locals tell us it was the best food in town. We saved it for our last night and we were not disappointed! Delicious, and different. We went with friends and all ordered differently so that we could try multiple items. Everything was AMAZING! The watermelon Mojito was fantastic, too. You will not be disappointed. Definitely make a... More

I know a lot about Jacques Imo’s; or at least I have some pretty ingrained beliefs. I once went upstairs in the auxiliary building, made a wrong turn and ended up in a room with a side of beef in what a remember to be a claw foot bathtub. I don’t know what the restaurant name means, other than it... More
