Go to Jacques-Imo's with a party of five -- you can get a reservation if you are booking for a party of five. I went with a group this past week and we all had fantastic dishes -- red fish, grouper, scallops, and venison. This is not a quiet, white tablecloth restaurant. Be observant when you walk through the kitchen... more

After reading about this place on Trip Advisor, my husband and I decided we wanted to try it only if we could get there early. Luckily, we arrived just after 5pm on a Saturday night and the place was filling up fast. We had to try some of the previously mentioned dishes. I don't remember the names of them but... more

If you are looking for stuffy fine dining Jacques-Imo's is not for you. If, however, you are looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and a place were the locals go for a night out, Jacques-Imo's is the place. My husband and I were in New Orleans on a business trip and a bartender at an oyster bar recommended it.... more

Really good. Decor needs some help. Bigger dining room. Cheaper prices. It's delicious though. more

The food is mediocre, the space crappy and the service is simply awful. And to cap it off it's not cheap! As a native New Orleanian, I can truly vouch for the fact that there are many, many other choices when it comes to excellent restaurants in New Orleans - this is definitely one to pass on by. more

It's small and loud and crowded and wonderful. Not for the stuffy crowd. A really fun place and the alligator sausage cheesecake is a must. Definitely worth the wait. Have a few drinks in the bar and enjoy that as part of the experience. more

My wife and I had a really fun time and great dinner here last Friday night. Arriving around 9:15pm, we knew we would have to wait and that was fine. Had a couple beers next door at the Maple Leaf. We were told it might be 1-1/2 hours, but it ended up just under an hour. So many items looked... more

My husband and I visited this restaurant based on the reviews here on TripAdvisor. The cab dropped us off in the middle of a sandy construction lane (do not wear heels or flip flops). When we got to the place, before 7pm, it was very crowded. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a seating for 2. They... more

Our hotel concierge insisted that we go there, even though it was far, the road was closed and it was raining. The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, the staff was attentive and honest. It will be the first restaurant that I go to next time I'm in NOLA. more

JAques-imos cafe is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! The atmosphere is great, the people are great and the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! When we got there, Jack greated us right away. We had a reservation and were immediatley taken to our table. We were there for a batchelorette party, and they brought out complimentary appetizers, free dessert & free lemon drop... more
