I came to Jacques Imo's with a group of friends and was very pleasantly surprised. While it is true we had to wait, we had delicious cocktails and a friendly bartender. The waiting line spilled into the street, but everyone was upbeat and having a good time. We were eventually seated in a dining room next door with other large... More

The setup was very cute. The service was really good, especially since the place was jammed packed. And the food came out promptly, and was really good, with generous portions. What I though could be worked on was how crazy long the wait was, and we were there well after the dinner rush. And it was super loud, I couldn't... More

In the past I would have given Jacques-Imo's 5 stars, but that was before it became so well known. It's still a great place, but the wait times are longer and the bustle and noise is more pronounced. However, the food is still wonderful and the service is top rate. I always try to introduce people to the restaurant if... More

This place just seems to have every dish just right. You only have to look at the excitement of the guests as the dishes come out. One of my favourite spots in N'Awlins.

The venue, decor, vibe and bar is a melting pot of good sounds, colour and fun-seeking people. However all the hype and magnetic appeal is let down badly by mediocre over-priced food.

No. Really. Everything anyone in our 3 different groups had was fabulous. That was 19 people and not a hint of disappointment in the pile. The shrimp and gator sausage cream cheese cake is famous in the area, and well should be. When I asked about what size dish the gumbo came in the waitress said it was a cup.... More

This restaurant is one that makes you feel like you are really in the unique and eclectic city that is New Orleans. Upon arrival walking underneath artwork that is hung from the ceiling, through the kitchen, and seated in a lively dining room is only the beginning of the experience. The Alligator Cheesecake is a must order. I went with... More

I had the daily special of stuufed soft-shell crab.....AWESOME!!!!! Wife has some type of 'fish", and she really did not like it - over cooked & dry. Service was good. Kinda pricey!

This place rocks! We ended up taking a cab from our hotel in the French Quarter on the most interesting adventure through the town into the College area to what seems to be a residential area. Nestled here in a refurbed shotgun style house lies Jacques-Imo's Café. Not much in the way of atmosphere however this homey restaurant has a... More
