We had my brother in laws birthday dinner here and everything was fantastic. Our group was14 so most of the menu was sampled and not one person was disappointed in what they ordered. The soft shell crab was great and the portions were generous. For the quality and portions the price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is great and the... More

Definitely order the alligator cheescake, one of the most interesting and delicious things I have had. The portions are huge and the food is very good. Very casual place in an interesting old house.

Oh my goodness - what a wonderful restaurant!!!! Fabulous food - great service - funky, fun atmosphere!!! I ate here on a Monday night - we arrived around 6:30pm and had to wait 10-15 minutes. Jacques-Imo's doesn't take reservations for parties under 5; there were 4 of us. No worries, we got a round of watermelon mojitos. You enter the... More

Not the easiest location to find but the trip there is worth the effort. The atmosphere is fun and the food is good. One must go to the Maple Leaf next door to fully complete a great experience.

I loved eating at this place. The food was fantastic and our waiter, Nick, was just the best. So helpful and friendly, but very relaxed. We had a table out on the street, which really added to the atmostphere. Superb fish and steak and fantastic crème brulée.

Unplug your hearing aids and bring your taste buds. This funky local joint has some of the best food in New Orleans. Noisy and packed, the food is imaginative and expertly prepared. We had the alligator cheese cake, red fish and soft shell crab. Flat out awesome!!!!! The service was excellent and the price was reasonable given the quantity and... More

Returned to Jacques-Imos a week ago (May, 2013) having visited once before last Spring on a previous family trip. This time I took my old friend with whom I was visiting New Orleans. There is always a wait there and they don't take reservations for small groups. The bar area in which you wait (you can also try to nab... More

I Love, Love, Love Jacques-Imo's and I will tell you exactly why... Since parties of 4 or under are seated on a first come, first serve basis, my boyfriend and I decided to arrive around 8pm and figured it would be quiet since it was a Tuesday night. Well, apparently Jacques-Imo's is the cafe that never sleeps, BUT the hostess... More
