This is a very unique restaurant in New Orleans. You literally walk through the kitchen to be seated. I particularly enjoyed an unusual dish call the Shrimp and Alligator Sausage Cheesecake. Yes, I'd have it again. I also loved the art work on the walls of this restaurant.

We went to this restaurant because of other reviewers comments, and are we ever glad we did. We waited around 30 minutes - not too bad, we have learned, for NOLA. Every single thing that we ate was amazing - definitely the top three dishes of our New Orleans week stay - that's saying a lot, because we ate some... More

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the our B&B hosts at Maison de Macarty, and they were absolutely right. It was definitely the best meal we had in New Orleans!!!!! The cornbread muffins were delightful and the crawfish pie was beyond amazing!!! We loved the atmosphere and the murals which gave such an authentic New Orleans ambience. Get... More

We knew this place was very popular with the locals, so we chose to go on a Tuesday night. They told us the wait for 4 people would be an hour and a half. We went to the bar next door to grab a drink, but ended up waiting for 2 hours for our table. That being said, the service... More

Even we had to wait for the table for 30 minutes, but the times went fast. I kept look around the decoration of their wall, ceiling, which there are many of art frames. The food is delicious, and makes me enjoy the meal with my friends. But the restroom is only thing I claim, because there is only a restroom... More

First off, they give you cornbread with basil and garlic on top. Best cornbread ever!!! It was so good. For dinner i got blackened redfish. Wow was it good. Amazing flavor and texture. My family got shrimp creole and said it was great. Atmosphere was nice as well. A must try!!!

Jacques Imos wasn't the best meal that we had in NOLA but I will say it was the most authentic. They're famous for their gator sausage cheesecake - it doesn't get more legit that that. I had a Po Boy and the bread was fried which was a little over the top for me. The Jambalaya was great. Great cornbread... More

One of the best meals I've ever had. Hands down. Had it been socially acceptable, I would have licked the plate! You MUST get the Shrimp and alligator sausage cheesecake appetizer. Yes, it's called a cheesecake, but is not the sweet treat that the name implies. It's a melt-in -your- mouth combination of cheeses, cream, onion, peppers, fresh shrimp and... More

The Maple Street area is known to locals. Very hip. Very trendy. The blackened redfish was the best I ever had. Red beans and rice and corn were perfect accompaniments. Our waiter, Phillip, was great too. A wee bit noisy though. Very colorful and fun. You've gotta check it out!

This is the kind of place you go to for the overall experience. The wait is long, and the restaurant is crowded and loud...but it just makes it feel like a big party. Everyone is excited to be there; especially the wait staff. It's obvious that they are passionate about their food, and it comes out in their fantastic personalized... More
