If you are looking for stuffy fine dining Jacques-Imo's is not for you. If, however, you are looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and a place were the locals go for a night out, Jacques-Imo's is the place. The food is mediocre, the space crappy and the service is simply awful. And to cap it off it's not cheap! As a native New Orleanian, I can truly vouch for the fact that there are many, many other choices when it comes to excellent restaurants in New Orleans - this is definitely one to pass on by. more

It's small and loud and crowded and wonderful. Not for the stuffy crowd. A really fun place and the alligator sausage cheesecake is a must. Definitely worth the wait. Have a few drinks in the bar and enjoy that as part of the experience. more

Our hotel concierge insisted that we go there, even though it was far, the road was closed and it was raining. The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, the staff was attentive and honest. It will be the first restaurant that I go to next time I'm in NOLA. more

JAques-imos cafe is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! The atmosphere is great, the people are great and the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! When we got there, Jack greated us right away.
