A surprising, excellent meal!

This restaurant was an amazing surprise! It is tucked away in a somewhat questionable looking area (at night anyway), but the food is SO worth it! What an awesome restaurant. A cab driver told up about this place and we want for dinner. Atmosphere was awesome and food was great! Try the Alligator Sausage and Shrimp Cheesecake!

Wonderful meal of red snapper. salad, etc. Great food, excellent service. Pricey but worth it! All meals are accompanied by salad and two sides. I had smothered cabbage and corn with peppers. On Oak Street about one quarter mile from streetcar line. Worth the trip.

Awesome place! Definitely a dive, but the service is great and food comes out quickly. Can't complain at all about the quality of the food or the service. Get here early as there are no reservations for parties of 4 or fewer. Great place to ride the trolley car to from the French Quarter - enjoy going by the old... More

What a fun place. We were a group of 8 that they had no problem accommodating. The wait staff was attentive and really knew the menu. They were able to answer all questions, and there were many. The food was delicious. The fish, fried chicken, softshell crab, all were really good.

After a very long wait in the dark but comfy NOLA'ish bar - longer wait than it should have been, since the hostess who was only about 2 feet from where we were sitting didn't bother to call our name, only sent a text - to a phone that wasn't getting very good reception--- we (party of 4) were finally... This is an iconic restaurant in New Orleans, visited by both locals and tourists. we took our family visiting from Atlanta, and I have to say that the restaurant has considerably lowered the quality of the food and drinks they serve. The menu is fantastic, with so many entrees to order; the issue is that it was very unseasoned, and... More

College friends and classmates had always talked about Jacques-Imo's, but it took me nine years after graduating college for me to finally have a meal at this restaurant. Shame on me because the meal and experience was wonderful. The place is always packed, and rightfully so. My husband went on a week night and still had to wait about 30... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our waiter at Emeril's restaurant. We loved the authentic native cuisine and the atmosphere and service were exceptional!

This is a restaurant aiming at its clientele having a fun time. Long lines around prime time eating but worth the wait, especially as there is a decent bar to wait and a few others to wait a few doors down. Corn bread comes out hot and has a nice kicker with the fresh garlic, various starters so a nice... More
