Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Happy Birthday to me

My wife took me to Emeril's for my birthday lunch. Happy birthday to me. The duck wings were fantastic. My wife order the fish of the day, it was wondeful. The service was great. It's Emeril's what else would we expect

3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I was in New Orleans this year for the Mardi Gras, and as usual I dined at Emeril's twice. I started off with the Gumbo Soup ($8) which had Andouille Sausage in it and it was just okay. My next course was the appetizer of Duck Wings ($14), they were quite good. On my next visit there for lunch I... More

The food was as disappointing as the judgementL waiter when we asked for a wine of value vs. expensive. My wife had the barratta shrimp and strawberries- it was as bad as what it sounds- nothing goes together in that dish. The seafood bocatinj was fishy tasting at best. Really a bad experience. My rating is a tourist trap.

Well, we are foodies from the north east so we were really looking forward to a great experience at Emeril's...very disappointed! The flavors were just not there...bucatini is horrendous-lobster undercooked and the scampi had no flavor. Although the pork chop was delicious the service and overall experience were underwhelming. Definitely do not recommend as there are too many other great... More

Made reservations well in advance for a Mardi Gras celebration with friends. The ambience, service, and food was outstanding. Especially the scallops. Will return soon and often!

I am writing a review, but will preface it by saying it was a large group dinner...so we were not ordering off the menu. Service was good, but the dinner was a bit bland. Had steak and so did most people at my table and the consensuses is that it was just ok. Would go back and try the regular... More

I expected Emeril's to be good, but overrated. Wrong. Best mean and service I have ever had. You can tell the staff has been trained perfectly. Seafood pasta was the best dish I have ever had. Like sex on a plate. Trey, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and "gets it". Only let-down was that the banana cream pie was good... More

We visited the restaurant on the eve of Mardi Gras. Service was top notch. Our waiter was attentive to detail not just at our table but we could see he was paying attention throughout our time there to ensure everyone was attended for. Food was great. The so called bread that consisted of focaccia, corn bread and sour dough were... More

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants to come to when I visit my home town. The food is always above and beyond delicious. We sit at the food bar, where you can see what's happening in the kitchen. If you're lucky you might see Mr. Emeril himself. The service is absolutely incredible. From checking in to sitting... Loved their osso bucco, the best in town. Bread pudding is lacking. Don't bother. Nice setting for a nice meal.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
