Description: Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner daily (through December 2014) and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po' boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

My husband, teen daughter, and I just visited this restaurant. My husband and daughter absolutely loved it! They had the beef tartare, tournedos, and quail, and I had the mushroom pappardelle. They absolutely loved their food, but I was slightly less impressed. Dessert was another matter; we all loved it. I had the grapefruit rosemary sorbet, and it was refresingly... More

I had dinner here for the fourth time. The level of service continues to decline. The waiters simply disappear. We were served appetizers but had no silverware as it was taken away after the pate' course. They when they served the entree they did not bother pouring us our wine. When I ran out I could not find a waiter... More

R’evolution was marvelous in every way, excellent service, food, ambiance. The wait-staff were appropriately solicitous, and also very warm and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our special evening. It was truly a memorable experience! Our waitress Sam was fantastic. When my husband joked that he wanted a roasted lemon to accompany his Roasted Lemon Sorbet, Sam actually produced one... More

From the moment we walked in the door, until the moment we left, everything was fabulous! Every morsel was wonderful! The service was great and staff very knowledgeable. We had the crab biegnets as an appetizer, I had shrimp and grits, and my husband had the creole bouillabaisse. We were too full for dessert, but they brought out the yummiest... More

We are restaurant owners from New Orleans. So this rating comes very high. We got started in the restaurant business in the Hotel Sonesta where this restaurant is located, we were celebrating our anniversary.

In a city where food is essential to life, this relatively new offering on the restaurant scene more than hold its own-it is making its mark. On our first visit last weekend, we had the vegetable salad-light and unexpected in flavor and uniqueness, fried oyster salad-perfection, grouper-fresh in pho broth, bouillabaisse-full of mussels, shrimp, lobster and redfish, and creme brulee... This was the first time we have gone to Restaurant R'evolution and love it!!! We went for a early dinner, 5:45pm and showed up early so we sat at the bar. I really luv the decore, old style New Orleans building with a really nice bar area. We got our table early which was nice & they sat us in... More

I attended a large business luncheon here today and we were treated to delicious food beautifully presented. The old Begue's Restaurant looked and tasted NOTHING like this!! The baked Oysters on the half shell arrived on a pink salt block cylinder. The oysters were inconsistent in size and larger ones could have been baked longer if you don't care for... More

The R'evolution at the Royal Sonesta has to be the best experience and food anywhere. We were blown away by the dinning experience and food presentation. Over the top wonderful, loved the quail gumbo and the after dinner jewel box sampler. Thanks for great food and great memories.

My wife and I had breakfast/ brunch here and I'm not sure that this restaurant is living up to its hype at the moment. First off we ordered straight off the menu with no special requests. It took 56 minutes with the restaurant at 1/2 capacity to get our food out. This is really unacceptable. As far as substance, my... More
