Description: Serving Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch, Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs’ interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

We had one of the best meals ever at R'evolution. I had the quail gumbo and it was served with a whole quail that had been mostly deboned. I also had the bone in filet prepared blue. It was a wonderful cut of beef. The prices are a little high, but it is worth every penny.

This restaurant is worth splurging on. The food selections were varied, the wait staff attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. Interesting, fresh, innovative..... all the things we look for in a great restaurant. Well worth the splurge. Be aware though, dress is business casual so that means no shorts and flip flops.

From the moment we walked in the door, this was not just a meal, it was an experience. The restaurant's ambiance was vibrant, romantic and a gorgeous ode to the NOLA way of life! A team of servers were there to guide our group every step of the way. The cocktails and wine list were comprehensive, so the guidance was... More

I was very impressed with R'evolution: very attentive staff who were happy to answer any questions, good variety of dishes on the menu, and truly excellent food. I went with a group, and everything from oysters to venison was outstanding. The desserts are well worth saving room for: whilst the chocolate fondant takes 15 minutes to prepare, the wait was... We came in for dinner and wound up sitting at the bar because we enjoyed the bartenders so much. Our dinner was amazing and the death by gumbo is probably the best I have ever had!

This is a place for real foodies. It is a classy joint which may be intimidating for some. You don't have a server - you have a Team. But the food is very, very good. The wait staff we had were pleasant and appeared to care about customers and were willing to spend time with us. I had some great... More

Had a wonderful meal at this relatively new restaurant (2012) located in the Royal Sonesta Hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. It is a unique experience to go from the craziness of the crowds and neon on Bourbon Street to step into this quiet and comfortable yet elegant and modern restaurant. They must have amazing windows, because once... More

We were staying right across from this restaurant. Even though we did not have a reservation they were very accommodating . Excellent presentation of food. Highly recommended if you are staying in the french quarter.
