Description: Serving Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch, Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs’ interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

This might be the top restaurant in the French Quarter. Great wine list. Molly can help you pick a choice. If you are an oyster fan try the Oysters Revolution style.

We arrived in the pouring rain in flip flops and shorts (very underdressed even for lunch) but the hostess was exceedingly nice about not making us feel awkward. Decor is beautiful. Server was very nice and attentive. Muscles were to die for, shrimp were delish, and beet salad was awesome. All three in my party ordered the crab grilled cheese... More

Can't even explain this mega high end temple of goodness. The food is just amazing, the service over the top and the decor is second to none. In my estimation...one of the best restaurants in the country. A MUST when in New Orleans!! Chef John is awesome!!!!

Since we were staying in the french quarter and did not have a car, we went to restaurant r'evolution for the "nice" meal of our trip. It was very conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. The atmosphere of the restaurant was put together well, setting the stage for our delicious food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.... More

Our welcome on arrival through the door was less then welcoming as it took a little while to get acknowledgement from the two staff discussing something...We were seated at the bar but before we could even choose a drink we were taken to our table. We skipped the appetizer but they did bring a little morsel of chickpeas in a... More

An elegant experience combining a beautiful bar and restaurant evoking a sense of yesteryear, with the most outstanding service ( and excellent cocktails) The food was interesting versions of Creole and Cajun but the chef seems to rely on rich lashings of cream and oil to give it the deluxe element and we were not able to finish our dishes.... I felt like royalty. The professional attention to detail was mind blowing. We had the shrimps and grits. It was so good, you will eat parts of the shrimp that you never ate before. BUT, their signature desert is truly heaven in your mouth. Pricey, but you definitely get what you paid for... and more.
