Description: Serving Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch, Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs’ interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

A lady in a dress store insisted on this place. She apparently knew the maître d' Service was good but stiff. very formal and service was really slow. We had a late reservation but the staff were very slow in moving things along. Very formal. Their food however was memorable. I had the special gumbo with the quail as a... More

We had just arrived from our flight, checked into our hotel (Mazarin) across the street and was hungry. Couldn't get a seat in the restaurant but with the help of the staff we got a great small table in the bar and had an excellent meal.

We only had lunch here, but were sorry we did not have time for dinner. The food is top-notch: our oysters were substantially better than ACME, they split our dishes for us without any fuss, The turtle soup, and the gumbo, for first courses, were impeccable. The salad with crunchy vegetables, very good. The spaghetti with clams would be difficult... More

Anyone looking for a fantastic meal in the French Quarter, look no further. Restaurant interior was very nice, service was great! My boyfriend started with the Turtle Soup, which was delicious! Entrees were the star of the show, the braised short ribs and scallops with foie gras were both spectacular. We somehow saved room for dessert-while the Turbodog Stout Chocolate... More

From the greeting at the front desk, to the final box of surprise goodies, our experience at Restaurant R'evolution was exceptional. A lot of preparation has gone into the service at this restaurant and it shows. Everyone trains for the different roles, so that the client is never left stranded. We were fortunate to eat in the room with access... More

Amazing food, service, ambiance. The best part was the fact that you could actually carry on a conversation at a beautiful, long table next to the kitchen, in a fully packed restaurant! Acoustically perfect! Chef Chris is very modest for what he turns out! The venison carpaccio was superb! As was the raw vegetable salad and the pate, as well... More

Crab beignets and hoisin grouper with lump crab meat and Vietnamese noodles with carrots - three kinds of butter with hot fresh rolls and outstanding wine selection on an iPad melt in your mouth filet and the experience is elevated with outstanding personable and patient servers towards two Kentucky girls. It's a must for all NOLA visitors - it's pricey... More

Eclectic menu merging Classic Italian with Cajun. The ricotta gnocchi with lobster was in a luscious sauce. The gnocchi was a little too cheesy for my wife's classic taste. The salumi appetizer featured homemade Italian meats. However the to die for course was "Death By Gumbo" - VERY filling. Our best culinary experience in New Orleans.

While staying at the Royal Sonesta, a severe thunderstorm warning led us to choose this on-site restaurant. We were quite unprepared. Although we were under-dressed and had no reservations, they happily accommodated us at the chef's table, a community-style table overlooking the kitchen area. I actually thought that table was great! We wouldn't typically choose a restaurant at this price... More

Disappointed...R'evolution serves as the "in-room dining" restaurant for Royal Sonesta. The food came to my room in adequate time but the shrimp and grits is not recommended. The shrimp were salty and over fried to the point that they were chewy. While I'm sure many foodies would disagree, I personally do not want complete shrimp heads with crispy tentacles and... More
