Serving Lunch seasonally, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po' boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

Loved the bouillabaisse!! Best in town! Crab beignets, that everyone raves about, were just okay. Star of the appetizers were the fire roasted oysters and the foie gras - especially the one in the little jar! Dessert was okay. Great service & lovely decor. If you are staying at the Royal Sonesta, it is their restaurant.

Went for a 9 pm dinner and waited to be seated. We were seated in the walkway between the dining room and the kitchen. The chairs were sunken in. Not just ours but all. We asked to move out of the walkway. Once moved the chairs were the same. The food was ok. I would not return. I think if... More

Our 2 main servers were Kevin & Brian. Both were professional and friendly. The California Cabernet was lovely. I had the short rib entree & it was a died & gone to heaven moment. Dan had a fish dish, Napoleon, I believe. We were not disappointed with neither the service nor the food. We would surely return upon our return... More

This restaurant was presented to me as one of the top 2 restaurants in the city. I thought the food was good, but not on par with the "best I ever had". Service was also very good, but again would not put in the top tier of even New Orleans restaurants. I went with my wife and daughter. I started... More

Visisted this weekend for dinner, Anthony and his team were outstanding. We ordered the crab beignets & oysters for appetizers which were very good. The entrees, scallops/foie gras & quail were excellent. The service was outstanding will definitely return.

One of the best meals and experiences of my trip. Order the red velvet beignets for dessert. Cainan gave us a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. We were able to meet the chef and support staff. Made it amazing!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
