My husband and I had a wonderful lunch. My husband had etouffe served with a large homemade biscuit. Lots of crawfish and a wonderful sauce. I had the chicken curry salad on a bed of mixed greens. The salad was definitely entree sized and came with ripe tomatoes and red grapes. The restaurant was quiet as it has only a... More

To be fair, this is one of my favorite places. Especially for breakfast and I visit often. We walked up at 7:53, a lady opened the door before we reached for it to tell us they were closed and didn't open until 8:00! 7 minutes!! Really??? I mean you couldn't even let us in to have coffee first? Very poor... More

We had breakfast at Canal Street Bistro because it was within walking distance of our rental. We had seen mixed reviews so was not sure what to expect. Everything we ordered was tasty and made fresh. The grits were the best we had in NOLA. The biscuits are very good so be sure to order them instead of toast. I... More

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at the Canal Street Bistro! While my wife's omelet with grits on the side was just very good, my seafood soup was outstanding! This is a friendly, informal small restaurant. I wish that we had time to return and try some of the other things on their menu.

A relative of ours suggested going to this restaurant for a change of venue. They are located not far down Canal Street from Interstate 10 in New Orleans. Parking was not a problem - we parked right on the side of the restaurant. The drinks were good with plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. The food consisted of steak, fish... More

Cute new restaurant in Mid-City. Loved the juice menu and healthy menu options (gluten free, tofu)! I will definitely be visiting again.

Found this bistro almost by accident. Saw it from the canal street trolley. We'll worth the trolley ride back. Eclectic menu but both of our entries were excellently prepared. My husband ordered the German pancake and I had the BELT croissant. The waffle and fried chicken at the next table looked great. Reasonable prices for NO. Waitstaff were attentive. Chief... More

We 'found' this place when another of our favorite breakfast places nearby had a ridiculous wait for a table. We're glad we did. This place has an exceptional breakfast menu and serves it until 2:30PM on the weekends. The also have an extensive juicer menu with liquid concoctions that contain everything from beets and carrots to spinach and kale. Additionally,... More

We tried to go to a few different breakfast places and they were all packed. Then we found this place, they were busy but it was a short wait for a table. We had amazing strawberry orange mimosas. I has the huevos rancheros and my husband had the spanish breakfast. Both were great!

Stumbled onto Canal St Bistro on a Monday AM when Ruby Slipper was closed. Mostly empty. Fresh juice bar awesome. Food excellent.
