I was hungry walking about on Magazine St. in New Orleans. I stopped by this place and, first of all was skeptical....bagels in New Orleans? Beignets yes, but bagels. I am from the New York area and know from bagels. And these were very good...VERY good. I had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. The... More

I had some high hopes for this place, but I left feeling like they might not stick around long. I love a good bagel with cream cheese and this place did not disappoint on those grounds. However, there was not much else going on here that tempted me. It was not very crowded and nothing else on the menu stood... More

Came here for brunch. In the middle of the garden district shops along Magazine street, so gave us something to do afterwards also. A full range of bagel options and fillings - including gluten free, which is why we came. Service was fast and very friendly. Place had a nice vibe to it - seems like a bit of a... More

There seems to be a bit of a battle between the partisans of the bagels here and the bagels at Stein's Market, a few blocks away. As old New Yorkers, I see no contest. I found the bagels from Stein's nearly inedible, very tough and chewy. They swore their bagels are made fresh daily. If so, they have stumbled on... More

I visit Artz Bagelz because it's conveniently located off Magazine Street and the sandwiches generally taste good. That being said, I find the bagels to be small and way overpriced. I'm from the Northeastern U.S. where bagel shops are plentiful and generally delicious. If New Orleans offered more alternative bagel shop options, I would visit Artz less and spend my... More

Good bagels made the right way (which is important!) with all the varieties and toppings you'd expect to find in a true bagel store. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars.

Very nice modern restaurant that offers sandwiches and salads, mostly for lunch but they also serve a small breakfast menu. You can also choose your own bread

This place is hidden right off of Magazine Street. They have a chic style inside with fluorescent yellow-green chairs and fun light fixtures. The food is great! They offer breakfast sandwiches in the morning on either a bagel or a toasted croissant. The locals live at this place and the people watching can be kind of interesting at times.

I have been missing a good place for good bagels since Katrina here in New Orleans. Finally I find this small cafe just off of Magazine Street. Good bagels and an assortment of flavored cream cheeses finally gave me what I have been craving. Unfortunately there must be others in New Orleans with similar cravings because the cafe can be... REAL Bagels and Lox at Artz Bagelz on Magazine St. WHAT, in New Orleans??!! Yes! I passed by Artz earlier in the week and schleped back there by bus for a late breakfast of bagels and lox and was joined Arts wife.. Being a "tribe member",I enjoyed my typical sandwich in a not so typical bagels and lox town for... More
