While walking out Saint Charles Ave my wife and I decided to stop at the Irish House for a drink. We sat at the bar and began talking to the woman next to us who had a great looking hamburger so I decided to try one also after the bar tender told us how wonderful they are. About ten minutes... Lots of good beer, very casual. We did not eat there, but it seemed like lots of people were regulars.

We met Betty! She is probably the highlight of the experience. Informed and friendly, she made reasonable suggestions, which we were happy to hear. BOGO Mimosa's and Yummy Irish Coffee (their specialty) made brunch a super way to start the day. Irish House is located on the St. Charles Streetcar Line so its convenient for those poking around the area.... More

We came here to enjoy a bit of downtime from the French Quarter and loved it! Lovely place with friendly people AND a Chopped Champion for a chef. We mostly just had a beer and did a flight of whiskey so our food tasting was minimal. However, we had fries and they were the best we have ever had. Cooked... More

We stopped by for a dinner before we left our NOLA honeymoon. We there there early around 5:00, the switch over time between the bar and the dinner menu. No hostess and no one in the restaurant. The bar area was packed though with what seemed to be locals, after wandering into the bar area to find a seat and... More

A friend recommended this restaurant near our hotel. It was easy to find with very accessible parking. They have lovely outside seating and a wonderful selection of beer on tap. We each had the lunch special which was a bowl of shrimp artichoke florentine soup (which was tasty) and a half of a monte cristo sandwich. The sand which was... More

Potato soup was quite nice, but salad was old, yellow, soggy. And how can you get a weak drink in an Irish Pub? It didn't seem right!

Great drink recommendations and fun, live music. Very convenient to our hotel. We recommend the John Powers whiskey.

First of all the atmosphere and staff are so welcoming and enjoyable. Second, they offer a great selection of beer both foreign and domestic. We were surprised due to their location so near the Garden District that pricing was reasonable, at least more so than the French Quarter. The locals are so friendly that you almost forget you are not... More

We had dinner here on Tuesday night, which happened to be $3.00 draft night and B1G1 fish & chips night. We definitely got beers that were served in nice cold glasses. One of us got the fish & chips (and brought fish & chips home) and one got the short ribs special. Fish & chips were tasty, light, crispy. Short... More
