While somewhat pricey, it was worth it. The quality and taste of the food, service and atmosphere were wonderful! Nice selection of authentic Irish fare. The restaurant had a small gift shop containing Irish gifts as well.

the Irish house was a block from our hotel, so it was a pleasant surprise when the service was excellent and the food was good. Our waiter was charming, patient and friendly. The ambiance is very Irish, and the food selection was vast and good.

Went to the Irish House for dinner for the second time recently. It's now on our regular list of places in New Orleans. Again loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious!! Had the shaved veggie salad and the chicken tart. Both were wonderful. Good wine list and reasonable prices.

My girlfriend and I were visiting new Orleans and were having trouble with all the seafood. We stopped in the Irish house by Matt Murphy, chef from Ireland. I had the chicken soup to start it was Devine with its chunks of potatoes and chicken. Beautiful flavour and easy to eat. For mains I had the Shepard pie with creamy... More

We went here for lunch on Sunday. Brunch was still available, although most of us ordered from the lunch menu. The service was good and the drinks were also. My husband enjoyed his Irish coffee. Mimosas were two for one. The food was just o.k. My curry chicken was a pretty small portion of chicken with lots of French fries.... More

I ate at the Irish House in New Orleans twice in March 2014. Both times I was overcharged $2.00. Normally, I don't check the math on a computerized bill so the first time I did not notice it until I had already left the restaurant . The second time I ate something different but the bill was still $2.00 higher... More

I visit NOLA about once a month, and I eat here each time. The selections of beer and Irish whiskey are fairly large and of good quality. The staff are always friendly, whether you sit at the bar or at a table. The food is consistently great. If you find the food a bit pricey, try going for lunch instead,... More

We did not eat here, we just sat at the bar and watched the World Cup. Our bartender was a hoot, and obviously enjoys her job :) I had a nice frozen drink and the others I was with had pints of Irish beer. The prices were amazing.... $3 pints. This was right across the street from our hotel, so... More

Have been here several times for a light lunch, but never for happy hour or dinner. Both were good! They have $3 pints on Tuesdays with a nice beer selection. Food & drink was less than $30 - reasonable to me! Service was good too and everyone liked their food choices. Also is a quick trip from my B&B. Will... More
