The beer is cold and the food good. Wednesday night they have a trivia game, very fun-we came in late so didn't win:( The atmosphere is friendly.

Irish atmosphere was great! Local musicians were doing an impromptu session of Irish music, which lasted the entire time we were there and was very enjoyable. Wait staff was attentive and service was prompt. Our food however was a little disappointing. I had bangers and mash, it was on the weak warm side when served ... coldish bangers (sausages) and... The food was very good. I had brunch here, there prices were decent for what I received. They had a 2 for 1 mimosa which was yummy and right up my alley.

We had a horrible experience here on June 20, 2015. We were out for my husband's birthday, which we had saved up for. We waited over 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged or seated us, despite a group of several waiters standing and chatting in full view. It took almost ten minutes after being seated just to get our beverages. The... More

We happened into the Irish House for a quick drink and a dessert. They were getting ready to do trivia night. I wish we could have stayed for that. We were shocked to see that they had something special (entertainment) just about every night. Interior was gorgeous--lots of dark, polished wood. Service was excellent and knowledgeable. Desserts were fantastic, especially... More

A traditional Irish pub, owned and operated by Food Network Chopped Champion Matt Murphey. We learned that everyone working there is either a family member or friend of Chef Murphey's famly. That's how it stays so traditional. A delight!

We left a cruise ship and it's massed produced, mediocre food and headed to Irish House for something more than pub grub. This establishment which is family owned and operated, provided the comfort food we craved. Eggs Benedict, Western Irish Omelet, and Jaffa Waffles. Good food, well prepared. For good measure, we went back that afternoon and had a couple... More

We made the trek to St, Charles from our hotel on Magazine and found it with no problem. The decor is cozy and the staff friendly. We did not realize until we were leaving that the music was live and although a bit on the loud side it was great to listen to. Certainly fit the mood of the place.... More

Live music on Monday night was great, décor nice. Bartender took order without a hello and continued conversation with customers on other side of bar. Poor bar etiquette (my husband was a bartender in an Irish bar years ago!) Maybe there are a lot of regulars that come here and not tourists??

My husband's fish and chips was disappointing as the batter was not crispy, but my burger was delicious. They serve food til midnight which is late for the area. The staff were attentive but the music too loud for us.
