Stopped in for a little pre game drinks. Excellent bartenders, especially Todd! Perfect Irish Pub. We did not eat here, but all the dishes coming out looked and smelled wonderful. Will definitely be back!

Passed this establishment on a NOLA streetcar and decided to return there to check it out. We remained on the streetcar until it returned to the same location. It was late lunchtime and not overly busy. The establishment is fairly new. The staff seated us and our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The menu had numerous Gluten Free items... More

We stopped here for a traditional English breakfast. We spent five weeks in the British Isles last year and had a good basis for our review. This one was as good or better as any we ate over there. There was black and white pudding. The banger had wonderful flavor and grilled mushrooms and tomato were great. We went back... More

My husband and I were walking aimlessly in NOLA looking for breakfast, when we noticed this across the street. We were starving by this time and hoped for a decent meal. We were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, staff and food! Mel seated us and was our server. She gave great suggestions for brunch and good ideas for where... More

Located on St Charles in Lower Garden District the Irish house takes you to Dublin and an authentic looking, feeling and tasting Irish Pub. Service is Irish friendly and quick, food authentic Irish tasting and reasonably priced, music on some nights with Irish Whiskey tasting on Monday's....just a great place to kick back after touring the Garden District, on the... We stopped by the Irish House to eat only because it was close to the hotel we were staying in. I'm so happy that we stopped in! The guy that owns the restaurant won Chopped! I ordered the Bangers and Mash for lunch and LOVED it. I imagine this place has a great night scene given that they had a... More

Took my wife here, we are not or have never been to a real Irish Pub. I had a Ruben (beef and cabbage) house made dressing, WOW! So good. The wife had the Chef Special which includes 2 poached eggs, grits and pulled pork with the Irish Coffee, WOW! So good. We have never had Irish Coffee but enjoyed it!... More

My husband and I took our kids (9 & 12) here for dinner in December. We were seated right away, the food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional! I had the shepherd's pie, which was quite tasty. My daughter had the full Irish breakfast, and she loved it! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and I would highly recommend... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
