Description: Hidden little gem! looking for donuts in New Orleans didn't find anything other than the Beignets. Been there done that. overrated to me personally. Stumbled upon Blue Dot Donut's online tried them on 07/16/11 what a find. They have a Long John that has Maple glaze on top and Bacon!!!!!!!!!!!! wow talk about GR8!!!!!!!! it was really good sweet and salty the donut itself was warm and soft I highly recommend. A large variety of donuts and followed up my exit of New Orleans with one more stop at Blue Dot Donut's for the road. You gotta try it for yourself. Venture out of the French Quarter and find hidden treasures its worth the journey.

Delicious.....I love this donut shop. During our recent stay in New Orleans we stopped here twice. Be sure to stop here for a donut for breakfast. I'll be back in New Orleans next month and this will definitely be my first stop when I get to town

This donut shop was started and is owned by cops. I don't mention this as a reason to give them your business or to avoid, rather to show the obvious expertise they bring to the table. And guess what, the donuts are great

We brought another couple to New Orleans for their first time 2 weeks ago...our first stop? BLUE DOT DONUTS! Since having these 2 years ago...couldn't wait and they didn't disappoint. The Maple Bacon Long John is heaven in a pastry!! You need to get there early because they sell out so we were there by 9:15 and there were only... More

My co-workers and I went Labor Day weekend for a Ladies weekend in New Orleans. Blue Dot was on our to-do list. It did not disappoint. We did however, have to go twice. We initially went on Saturday, but they had sold out of the maple bacon donuts (my sole purpose for going). I put in an advance request for... More

You have to get here EARLY if you want good selection-it's a DONUT SHOP! People stop in and order up dozens for work meetings and whatnot. I've gone in twice only to "rob" the people behind me from the Maple Bacon Donut experience by taking the last few. (Good for me, bad for them). The donuts are made fresh and... More

I've been on a donut kick the last couple of years, and ultimately I've settled upon this shop as my favorite. They offer a great variety in either the traditional or cake donut, though I would suggest arriving earlier in the morning to ensure you've got the full selection available. I've found it lacking at times after 9:30-10:00AM on weekends.... More

I had heard such great things about Blue Dot, but I wasn't super impressed. The selection was limited and the donuts weren't out of the ordinary.

Stopped here one morning to bring home a treat for my man. Too bad neither of us enjoyed our donuts very much. I'm not a big donut person to begin with but my man is and he was even more disappointed than me. They don't have many options besides donuts. I won't be returning any time soon
